  1. Thanks -- Even though we were really careful there is nothing any of us can do about a possible false positive. Since they will not test me again or give me any test kits I'm saving my last 2 until we can pick up some more in Southampton to verify. I certainly will respect others and isolate even though the British Government don' t have any regulations that we do so or even require us to mask up.
  2. Yahooo... I'm pulling up a chair and will enjoy our missed cruise through your eyes. If you see us being hauled off the ship in hazmat outfits wave. LOL. Actually they have told us the UK has NO Law requiring isolation, but will be in isolation until I can test myself negative to protect others. They won't even test us again nor give us test kits. Thankfully I have a bunch with me. Do you know if you can buy them at any pharmacy? I have plenty of the proctored ones but don't want to waste them. I only have 2 of the non-proctored ones. I got a nice AirBnB and have rented a car so we can enjoy Southampton and possibly Isle of Wight.
  3. Thanks for posting. I just tested positive on the last day of my cruise during a B2B testing. Even though I believe to to be a false positive we are being kicked off tomorrow. The letter we received has NO PHONE NUMBER. Only Celebrity Engagement Center e-mail address. I just jotted the number down.
  4. Yes. If booked with Celebrity call you agent and asked to be waitlisted. Same if with a ta call the agen. One thing I learned you can only wait for one classification -- e.g. SS or CS but not both. Best strategy is to first wait list for a SS then if want a higher level do the CS next. While it is suppose to work automatically I actually created a book mark for the cruise and checked multiple times a day. When one popped up I put it on hold and then called in and had it applied to my reservation.
  5. I found that until I accepted the message for both passengers it kept sending. If I recall you have to go down the page and also indicate you accepted for second passenger.
  6. Would really recommend going with the layered look. Also prepare with rain gear also. I would say in ports you will have 60-80 f temps and at sea 50's to mid 70's.
  7. As sad as it is to end our cruise early, we had a fantastic dinner in Murano last night. I started with the risotto with. Foam and crisp garlic and morel mushrooms. Yummy Iain started with the cheese soufflé
  8. Now this one is funny. Geda our waiter had a little trouble getting the lobster to flame so added about extra pour of brandy. Watch him check out the ceiling. Music - Setting world on fire.
  9. Bo - I would guess we would just continue having a great time as neither of us have any symptoms. If we did come down with It we may have been imprisoned on Deck 3 I'm sure someone is going to get a surprise Gratis upgrade to our RS. That's what happened to us on the TA. We got a call the night before someone tested positive and the ship was already closed so they gave it to us. It was funny because the previous guests Gillian and Peter showed up on our TV with us on our TV every time we were on the Main Menu. I guess they were hiding under the bed. From what I heard was on the TA - A guest on one of the PH had a cocktail party for sail away and then tested positive contract tracing 3 couples in RS's. I presumed he many also have infected our butler and state room attendants.
  10. I have to agree with you --- But the CDC is no longer applicable to Silhouette in Europe. EC equivalent are on board today in Belgium doing the Sanitation Checks per EC regulations. It may take Celebrity awhile to revise their protocols. I have a feeling from what I'm hearing that there are LOTS of case aboard.
  11. It's really funny having the day to catch up and play on my PC which I have a tendency to do. I noticed that the Video I posted below ( accidentally posted it twice on my Youtube Channel) has had over 5,000 hits. I wonder how so may found it
  12. That's the rule - even if prior to the end of the cruise, you are isolated for the remainder of the cruise.
  13. Please do Grab the Baton - So many on CC will love to follow along. These Blogs are how we all stay informed and survive restarting cruising.
  14. I may have to cancel the first Caribbean cruise or would be a b4b. I presume they issue a FCC for the Norway or possibly I can move it to next year. Having said that - it was the last cruise I had with my EX Travel Agent --- she has been a nightmare that I'm glad is coming to an end. Maybe I should start a thread on the site with initials FB for Bad TA references. A private group for sure.
  15. We were advised that UK “Suggests” you self isolate for 3 days. There are no “Legal” requirement that you do so. We have respect for others and will isolate and test before we go out. Yea wish fellow passengers had done the same.
  16. Last night was Chic Night and thought I would share with you what Ensemble Lounge looked like. Packed for sure
  17. Either or. Option Option 2 - Celebrity will help book you in a hotel and arrange a car to transport you. Option 2 - You can book on your own and Celebrity will reimburse up to $250 per night and $100 pp per night for food. I am one of those that feel more comfortable making my own plans instead of depending on Celebrity. After seeing how people are being treated (FB and other Social Networks). I think I made the right decision. I got an AirBnb and looks comfortable -
  18. Yes we can stay and shhhhh... being told Iain can use the Guest Bathroom to smoke. It is a bit chaotic and the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing. I tried to call guest relations to find out about what time we can expect to depart the ship tomorrow. The phone rung unanswered for 20 minutes. I had asked Danial, The Retreat Manager, a question about Iain being able to smoke and after 2 hours no answer. I called him again to ask for the Retreat Concierges phone number and he asked if he could help. I said I was reticent to ask him as he never answered my last question. BAM.. He apologized and said Iain could smoke on the balcony or in the bathrooms. He would have a n ashtray sent to the room. Never showed up. At least we have China, Crystal and Silverware in our room so enjoying ourselves. Maybe a plunge in the outside jetted tub will help me feel pampered. At least we are on Starboard and facing the harbor for privacy. It's a chilly windy day today at about 54F and 25 mph winds so may have to go for the tub in the bathroom.
  19. Just checking as nothing else to do - the RED ZONE is 29 cabins - So guessing occupancy is between 30 -60. I know others must be confined to cabins around the ship as I've seen the tables outside rooms.
  20. Oh well. S--T happens. I just told Iain maybe I need to book another cruise for next year. We are on the Apex TA and were planning on spending a week in Amsterdam before the UK Ireland cruise. The reason for spending a week in Amsterdam was that the next cruise in Norway and would have been a repeat.
  21. I have not been out of the cabin a single time without a mask and have avoided as much close contact as possible. Also I have 99% of the time avoided elevators only using when they were empty. Also sanitized my hands at every opportunity. Laurance has been wonderful creating a 10 foot buffer around us so sure was safe there unless the waiter picked up the napkin the guy had blown his nose on and then served us desert. Just goes to show how virulent this disease is. We have been wearing N95 masks.
  22. Just received a phone call from the Doctor at 0900 testing being at 0700. We will be retested but is of no consequence. Even if it is False Positive we will not be permitted to continue onto the Norwegian Fjords Cruise. She asked the following - Vaccination Dates and type of vaccine Names of party we are traveling with Do you have any sympthoms Do you have any medical conditions like heart or breathing difficulties Are you allergic to anything. She then said - Unfortunately we are out of isolation rooms in the RED ZONE so you will have to remain in your cabin. That's the only ray of sunshine. At least it will be just one day but will be interesting to see what happens next.
  23. It's interesting how we are all difference. I generally like my coffee hot and my tea cold. Only exception is on hot days a Frappuccino does the trick
