  1. with the amount of lost luggage lately...maybe Viking should have a "shopping" room stocked with things passengers left on ship! HAHA on our last cruise Viking's laundry did the daily wash for a couple who had lost luggage.
  2. we are scheduled for end of December and hope she sails too!!!
  3. not inclined to pay for them!
  4. I would like eating in WC if all things were served! I have seen too many passengers doing silly things in the lines!! The omlet station works for me at breakfast and for lunch I gan get a Caesar Salad or soup and grilled shrimp handed to me. Otherwise I wash my hands AGAIN before I eat after touching serving spoons! But often times I still feel like it is a Jack in Box experience up/down so many times and triple that when trying to eat with others....and getting a wine other than "included" is difficult...I usually go to the aquavit bar myself to order! The wait staff tries hard but they are very busy....and do they put new placemats down or just wipe them off? and I am always loosing silverware!!!
  5. It is a beautiful cruise!
  6. I really miss those travel pouches!!! They are great to help keep things organized. I sure don't need anymore luggage tags but we did not get any extras with our 4 segment b2b cruises this winter. Remember way back when Viking was new and we also got "thank you" gifts after the cruise? I guess we should just be happy that Viking has been able to stay in business and continue to provide a great journey!!!
  7. Agree 100%...so nice on WC where it is included !
  8. Have you had that verified by someone?
  9. we take them to get great coffee in the "living room" and then take it to breakfast!
  10. no we just did not share table in restaurants
  11. SM77 why don't you just use the liquid body soap from the ship's container ?
  12. We returned april 31 from 4 b2b about 60 days onboard the Jupiter. As the number of passengers increased with each new segment so did the positive cases...definitely the new folks coming onboard brought virus from their travels from home (since everyone had to have a negative test to show up)! I also think that once masks were no longer mandated (on buses especially) the cases went up significantly. Each new segment we went back to 95masks and ate by ourselves for 3-5 days! We stayed healthy throughout. I do think the drinks int he Explorers' Lounge also provided added immunity :)!!!
  13. I would so like to be in a Viking focus group!!! what other things were discussed? Included gratuities? Slow walkers group for Ocean excursions?
  14. and don't forget the green juice for a healthy morning drink!!!
  15. Yes, putting in your credit card every time is time consuming! Thanks for the tip on the e-check!
  16. Perhaps it is a VIKING requirement not Canadian government.
  17. so silly since you are all traveling together. I understand not seating 8 random people ( 4 couples) at a table but not when you are together anyway. Plus why in the world in it OK in the WC? Makes no sense!
  18. not as wonderful as being on a WC but I certainly enjoyed your adventures and appreciate the dedication! and what a terrific gift for all of your fellow passengers!
  19. my understanding at least in Antarctica it will be free. not sure if everyone will get an opportunity and if that happens it will be very disappointing.
  20. I'd like to see an Expedition size ship head to Greece and the Isles and Croatia! Smaller ship could get us into some smaller ports! I wonder if there are plans to build more?
  21. you are in for a treat if he does play!! Please tell him Dee and Pat from Michigan send our best regards. He followed Katy onto the Jupiter !!! He is a University of Michigan grad...GO BLUE!
  22. we are from the Eastside of Detroit!!! Where did Katy go? home for a vacation? Is Bruce your new CD from Florida ? originally from Michigan and a brilliant pianist? He followed Katy when we were on the Jupiter this winter!
  23. and even better...I had a Keen fail and our room steward had the carpenter shop wood glue the sole back on and the shoes lasted me the rest of our journey!!!
  24. Pre- covid the laundry room tour was very interesting. Since Covid there have been no tours offered on either of the ships we sailed.
  25. Agree it was a great cruise EVEN with the many covid related issues and no Falklands.
