I can't comment on present promotions because our trip was in 2017/2018 BUT there were a number of singles on that cruise and those that I spoke with were having a great time!

We have stayed on Deck 3 again foreward and aft of the 3055/3057 and we enjoyed those rooms, great location. We have been on decks 4 and 5 too but 3 is so convenient! That onboard consultant needs to go to that cabin 3055/57 when the band is playing in Torshavn. We were in 3055 for almost a month on our WC...eventually we were moved and those in 3057 as well.

on our world cruise there was morning Yoga and sometimes stretching classes. There were MANY very good wellness lectures too. I have not seen them offered on other cruises.

3057 and 3055 are VERY noisy from Torshavn avoid if you go to bed before midnight or nap during day.

if it is back to back why is there is there time between cruises? That does NOT seem to be right that you are having to arrange your own hotel and transportation. Huge disconnect on the part of Vantage.

I enjoy the Viking cocktails and can't make them in my room!

How are they checking the ships' hulls before allowing them into ports? when a pilot shows up are they also sending dive teams or can they use cameras?

Spangler...does viking still offer an overnight trip to the Taj Mahal or did you Have to plan one yourselves. Missing the Taj Mahal was the only big regret I had from the WC we were on. Although whenever a group left the ship for overnight excursions they did bring back colds and coughs!!!

Agree...If I want a Mega ship entertainment/games I will book one. Please Viking do not change your culture!

if people want more "games" offered IMO let them be indoors and use Torshaven or Star Theatre or even upstairs of Explorer's for those that choose to enjoy them....like Trivia or Name that Tune are done now. Obviously boat building would not fit that category.

I think I read that Bruce is the CD on Neptune's WC. We were lucky enough to have him as part of a long journey aboard the Jupiter last winter ( we had 3 CD's in the 6 weeks were aboard). It was Bruce's first contract with Viking and was brief because he was helping fill a void our CD Katy (from Scotland) was being transferred to finish her contract on the WC that was underway. He had been on HAL if I remember correctly and had done multiple WCs with them. He lives in California and is originally from Michigan. He is approachable and wonderful gentleman to chat with....BUT wait until you hear him play the piano....AMAZING and he also put together some fun shows using the onboard talent!

I am disappointed that Viking did NOT take this opportunity to include gratuities into the price of the cruise.

Well when that promo appears I am booking 100's of days aboard Viking for the next 10 years!!!!

I always wear my stateroom robe to and from the SPA and I think I have seen MANY others doing this as well. A cover up for the WC is appropriate. I am not offended if there is someone in a bathing suit at the pool grill as long as they don't sit on chair cushion in a wet suit!!!

I wonder how they detected the invasive snails. Those of us who live on the Great Lakes are well aware of the havoc that invasive species can cause in our lakes and rivers!

In our experience Viking's always available include NY Strip Steak, Chicken or Salmon.

we always do that too! we never move the table because we use it as a table.

thanks for the great information....too bad the ship did not put in a free laundromat. Are the floors heated in the bathroom for when it sails in colder climates. Do people seem to miss a pool? I think the diagram only shows hot tubs.

Say Hi to Bruce from Dee and Pat Clark (from Michigan, Bruce is too) We met him last winter when he was on the Jupiter. You are in for an incredible piano concert...he is also fantastic at producing great shows. I am sure he will be a wonderful asset to the cruise. I could only see1/2 of the page on my computer..

This will be a trip of a lifetime. We were on the Inaugural WC....Please embrace every moment and flow with the disappointments.....It was incredible...we woke everyday and were so excited to be someplace that would awe us or just hanging out on an incredible ship! The crew, the officers, the ship, old friends( we traveled with 2 other couples), new friends, the ports and cultures, the lectures that opened our minds and taught us so much........people sharing their lives with us. I would love to do another but I am afraid the next one could not be a wonderful as our experience was on the Viking SUN. Thank you Viking!
