  1. As mentioned, shows are as subjective as anything else, but I would have happily missed Voices if I could go back in time.
  2. I’d venture to say most people do. I enjoy buffets due to variety & unlimited portions so that part doesn’t matter to me. We all have our preferences.
  3. That’s the one aspect of Icon that truly appeals to me, lol. I’m late to the party since (blasphemy I know) I’m not really interested in Icon but enjoy your cruises!
  4. Yep, many things are subjective… Many people say WJ is a madhouse on embarkation day… I don’t find it crowded at all when it first opens (yes it gets crazy later). Same goes for breakfast. Many people talk about how loud CocoCay is. Our go-to spot is by the pool, close enough to hear the DJ music, walking distance from the Oasis Bar… and I don’t find it loud there at all. I also don’t find the beaches loud although I’ve never really spent time at South Beach. Doesn’t make me right or anyone else wrong… just more subjectivity which is why I urge all new cruisers or those going somewhere or doing something for the first time to go in with an open mind.
  5. You left out Voices, which is also a main theater show.
  6. We always sail in early June (wife is a teacher) and mostly on Oasis class. There are crowds and plenty of kids but Oasis class ships handle them very well, IMO. The pool deck (which we avoid) is a bit nuts and the WJ is crowded at peak hours but other than that it doesn't bother us. We're easy going, used to it, and don't tend to spend a ton of time where kids do though so I'm sure it may bother others.
  7. As mentioned above, some of us highly value the perks. The coffee machine is one of my favorites after the vouchers and I enjoy the pre-dinner snacks when they're good.
  8. Add Rony's Tours to the list. Smaller, more independent, and will let you pick whichever sloth sanctuary you feel is best (or ask them). I can only share that I have planned private customized tours to see various parts of the island with him twice (sadly the ship could not dock the first time so we have a re-do planned for this summer).
  9. Ya learn something new everyday. I've only ever looked in the safety section (which now apparently doesn't show up until close to your cruise date). Thanks for sharing.
  10. Moot point now but no, it's not. It's hard to describe. It has a few different elements. I never saw the original but if you liked it I'm sure you will like this one. Ditto. March 17th for us.
  11. This is the reason I'd prefer Indy (and Fish N Ships although I've never tried it) but I'm all about food. Otherwise, I wouldn't care much.
  12. Did you try the bar code trick mentioned earlier in the thread or just looked at the actual pass?
  13. Everyone likes what they like. Different strokes... I've already seen every show on Wonder and wasn't going to ever see Tap Factory, Voices, or Effectors again so I have nothing to lose with a headliner. We loved the ice show and I don't mind seeing aqua shows more than once if there's nothing else we want to do. I'm not a huge theater show guy (never go to Broadway shows) so I'm actually looking forward to free time after dinner to go to a game show, listen to music, just have drinks, eat more food (I'd do this part regardless, lol), etc. Sorry you're disappointed that there may be one less show to see but I'm sure you'll find something to do in its place.
  14. Oh, you mean like where is "D5" or whatever on your particular ship? Try googling for muster station maps. EDIT: Eventually the info should appear in the app.
  15. In the app, before your GTY is officially assigned, you will often see your muster station in the stateroom info section, but the room # itself will be blank.
  16. In very rare instances, they can change the assignment before it's official if needed (for whatever reason), but it really is a rare occurrence.
  17. This is subjective. I didn't care for Tap Factory at all and am happy to see it go. I'm also sailing Wonder multiple times in the near future so I'd rather have a random headliner.
  18. Bar Code Trick Method 1. If you have an Apple device, add your set sail pass to your Apple wallet. Numbers will now appear under your bar code. The numbers after the dash represent your cabin. Method 2. Scan the bar code with a QR scanner from another device and that should also show you the numbers.
  19. Fond memories of my youth (along with many other parts of the Jersey shore). The food-stealing seagulls on CocoCay always make me think of that. 😁
  20. Tough to say. Even if someone without reservations doesn’t know about it an asks doesn’t plan to sit there in advance, people usually notice the seats. The same 30 minutes or so you would show up to get in the standby line? 🤷‍♂️
  21. I wouldn't sweat it. You can always go see it standby if it's cancelled and the rescheduling doesn't work for you or you don't get other reservations. Another option is to sit in the chairs on deck 7 by the rock wall (not-so-secret spot).
  22. I'm not a show guy and skip all the Broadway shows on other ships but I didn't mind Effectors II. Voices and Tap Factory were not for me. Loved the ice show as previously mentioned and thought the aqua show was OK but prefer a little more diving and a little less dancing.
