  1. After it is officially assigned either your TA has to do it if you used one or you call RC if you booked directly through them. NOTE: You can only change to an available cabin in your EXACT category.
  2. No one can answer these questions. No one knows the algorithm and there are way too many variables involved. Any response you get will be anecdotal. Short answer... bid what you think the upgrade is worth and don't expect to win because your chances of winning are extremely low with how full ships are right now.
  3. I guess if you don't see a juice sitting out in the WJ at breakfast it's not free. If we weren't saving our vouchers for alcohol I'd likely use some for fresh squeezed OJ like you do. I'm not a fan of the free OJ and if I'm done drinking DL cappuccino I just have water with breakfast.
  4. LOL, she wouldn't even consider that stuff. I like the pics and info though! She usually has a very boring salad for lunch (could be from Park Cafe), she'll eat the 3-cheese panini there too, she'll try a hamburger patty from WJ just to have a little protein if there's nothing else she'll eat. I'm not too concerned about lunch. She has plenty she can eat for breakfast so lunch can be a smaller meal. She usually finds dessert and has multiple pool deck fake ice cream cones throughout the day. She actually loves chicken pot pie, btw, but she would have to actually like the sauce/gravy, then pick out any veggies she finds unacceptable (mushrooms & onions are big NO, she only likes peas & carrots in her pot pie). The one she had at Mason Jar on Wonder met her standards.
  5. Sounds perfect for you then. If I semi-live blog again maybe some of it will come from there but I don't put a ton of effort into mine (kinda surprised people even like them, lol). The only editing I do is spell checking and trying not to be extremely long-winded (which I usually fail at). My wife doesn't really use the couch, I do, so I was seeing the bench as a bit redundant...and if it is, oh well, we already knew we didn't care about it when we booked the tiny upgrade.
  6. OK, you have a pretty unique picky list, lol. You still eat more actual items than my wife at least. I love white pizza. When my wife realized she didn't really like red sauce it made splitting a large pizza much better for me.
  7. For future reference, since I have 4 future regular interiors booked on Wonder, there are at least 3 different layouts. The only one I wouldn't want is an odd one that only has a chair, no couch at all. Some have the bed along the back wall as you described, others have the bed along the side wall like a balcony layout. There are examples on YouTube. I don't care about my cabin (hence the interiors) but I did pay a tiny bit extra for a Central Park view interior (like you have) on the last minute Allure cruise I just booked for next month. I don't really care about the window or bench (lots of people like those features though) but our interior was a GTY (which we've also had many times) and the upgrade amount was so small my wife decided it was worth it to lock in a location we like and get a slightly bigger room. Who knows, maybe I'll actually sit on the bench and look out that window from time to time.
  8. We always get the filet at GT with no sauce. I agree 100% with no sauce on steak if it's a good steak. If it's a cheaper steak meant to go with chimichurri or something then I'm OK with it. She'll eat filet or hamburger... no other cut of meat. She doesn't really like red sauce, even on pizza. Sorrento's makes her sauceless pizza and she asks for it well done... comes out like crispy cheesy bread and is actually better than the regular pizza sitting out, IMO (low bar, I know). Chicken must be breast only, no dark meat. Nothing from a pig (pickiness, no religious or moral reasons, she even hates smelling my bacon across the table at breakfast). No Indian. No Mexican other than a plain cheese quesadilla or possibly a ground beef taco with no toppings (oh, and she does like churros). No seafood whatsoever (unless tuna salad counts). See what I'm working with here? This is why the cook to order station in WJ was always a big help. She can ask for the 3 ingredients/sauce she'll actually eat. It would usually be chicken and broccoli with either alfredo or teryaki depending on if it was the pasta station or the wok station.
  9. Ummm.... my wife would eat the garlic bread. 🤣 Do I need to clarify just how limited her list of acceptable entree items is? That all sounds good to me though.
  10. It took 6 days & 23 hours of our 7 day courtesy hold for my wife to be OK with squeezing this one 5-nigher in... B2B was not an option, lol. She's even working a half day the morning of embarkation day and we're not leaving for PC until like 11:30. It's not a financial thing, she has tons of saved days off, it just makes things a lot easier on her. If we were flexible we would have booked an early December 7-night Wonder cruise that had a great deal in this week's GGG sale... balcony GTY for $699pp. That's insanely low for Wonder AND it would have gotten to us to D+. Now we're going to be 2 points short, lol, and still turn D+ after our spring break cruise. @molly361 jumped on that one. I'm jealous but can't really complain. This will only be our 2nd cruise ever outside of spring break or summer so I'm just happy to be going on anything at all in October.
  11. That's what I had heard. Thanks for confirming. My wife will not be happy about that but we'll make do. That's partly why we booked Sabor. As of now, if I have the 5-night menu right (it's a bit screwy in the app and this is a one time 5-night sailing before Allure takes over the Nassau/CocoCay 3/4's from PC), we have 2 specialties, 2 MDR's where she won't love her meal but there's stuff she can at least order, and 1 night is a wild card. The good news is we have early seating (it was full when we booked but my TA got us a spot the next day) and I like going to WJ after whether I liked my MDR meal or not so she could find something random there, even if it's just extra dessert. Happy belated birthday!
  12. Was waiting for you to get internet again. Hope this week has been as good as last week with good food and no BOGO issues. How's the water leak? We wound up booking Allure for next month with less than an hour left on our courtesy hold. My wife wanted to go but was torn with some work-related stuff and eventually just said book it. Been trying to cobble together plans since we booked it so late and we're pretty set now. Will just have to see a couple shows via standby if a reservation doesn't open up but that's not a big deal. I was ordered to book Giovanni's Table for one night b/c it has always been my wife's favorite restaurant and we're not likely to see it very often after this and we're tentatively having Sabor on the last night. We liked it on Harmony last year and even though my wife doesn't actually like Mexican, she liked enough stuff there (mostly sides and dessert). If they can just make her a decent plain quesadilla (it's not rocket science) she'll be fine. Outside chance we cancel it once we're onboard and have tried the WJ/MDR. New question... have you seen a cook to order station in WJ (pasta/wok) for dinner? I don't think you actually have dinner there but maybe you noticed popping in for cookies.
  13. You'd likely have to cancel your existing internet purchase for a refund and re-purchase a 2-device plan but that's just an educated guess.
  14. The mattresses on Wonder should be fine since it's still a pretty new ship. The concrete mattresses you've probably read about are usually found on older ships. I only had one really bad one, last year on Independence, but I was in 3 cabins on that ship in the span of 4 months and 2 of the mattresses were just fine. I wouldn't be too concerned.
  15. I'm not familiar with any of those concepts, lol. I eat healthy at home. On a cruise... anything goes. Glad it works for you though. My wife goes walking (she used to run) most mornings while I get cappuccino and "pre-breakfast." Of course, she doesn't eat like I do either so she maybe gains 2 lbs. It doesn't take me long to lose what I gain and I'm actually a thin guy who just likes to eat so it's not really a big deal.
  16. More often than not my wife and I have gotten dinged for 1-2 less vouchers than we should at CocoCay. Never gotten them all for free though.
  17. Wow, what are the odds of that? That's cool. You could have the same stateroom attendant both cruises (although I know they do move around from time to time based on previous conversations). I had cabins 4-6 doors apart on Indy last year from two different GTY's but that was only because I moved the 2nd one since we liked the location the 1st time. Our cabin attendant from cruise #1 was very nice and we chatted quite a bit. I didn't know my 2nd cabin at the time but he happened to mention he was requesting to move down the hall to be closer to the room with all the towels, sheets, etc. We didn't have him on cruise #2 but another attendant recognized us and said "Ryan is just down the hall" so we found him to say hi. I'm sure it's common for those who cruise a lot more than we do but it was nice to go back on the same ship and be recognized by some crew members. TBH, I think they remember my wife, not me. She's far more outgoing & friendly than I am (not that I'm mean, lol, just more reserved).
  18. As someone who has stayed in many interiors, I've never had the dreaded "chair", lol. I do my best to avoid them. I like my little couch.
  19. We always drive and park at PC. If you get there early you should be fine. Remember, there will be people getting off your ship that morning to free up spots. They also have surface lots next to the garage for when the garage is full. There are offsite lots that are cheaper if you want to save a few bucks but then you have deal with taking a shuttle to the terminal of course instead of just walking from your car to the terminal. EDIT: I just noticed your location. My in laws live in The Villages. They drive down to us and we go together on family cruises but I know The Villages has a shuttle service if that's something you'd want to look into. I have a much worse situation next month when Allure joins Wonder and Indy for a brief overlap before Indy leaves for Miami. I'm on a Wednesday Allure cruise so everyone who parked for Wonder and Indy will still be there with no one disembarking. I contacted PC and was told there should be room in the surface lots and worst case is they'd send us across the street and shuttle us to the terminal. I looked into offsite parking but I'd prefer to avoid a shuttle so we're just gonna go to the port directly and deal with whatever they give us. As long as I have somewhere to park, it is what it is. This was a last minute cruise.
  20. No (almost positive). I don't think other bars have coconut milk.
  21. If the finances work and you're not picky like my wife and will try lots of different stuff, the UDP on Wonder would be pretty great (and even better on a TA). I gain enough weight in 7 nights though eating mostly included food. I'm sure we'll do longer cruises a bit later in life when our schedules allow but I fear what I'd gain in 10-14 days, lol.
  22. This shows the subjective nature of food. The brunch there was one of the best meals my family ever had on a ship and I've read several negative comments about some of the dinner items (mostly the BBQ). My wife had some of the dinner items at brunch (chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese) and enjoyed them all. Since the OP has the UDP, I suggest she try both. 😁 We're also likely to try dinner there at some point too... we're just waiting to turn D+ (7 points away) so we can use a BOGO. We're frugal and don't do much specialty dining.
  23. Not true. $15 shows up in the app, usually for UK based ships (and are still covered by vouchers). The standard price for US-based sailings is still $14. FYI, when the standard price was $13, that's what vouchers covered. When the price was raised to $14, vouchers in turn still covered them.
