  1. What's funny about that is I was born and raised outside Philly. I moved here in 2000. Orlando City is the only non-Philly team I root for because I didn't follow MLS 23 years ago and OC joined after I had been here for 15 years.
  2. I'd love to be wrong, and I don't buy the DBP (or very much TBH), but I don't expect this year's black Friday sale to be as good as in years past.
  3. Much like the day 1-2 issue, this varies greatly by ship/sailing. I've seen reports of being able to use it or not being able to for lunch. I would love to use one on Mason Jar brunch on Wonder once we're D+ but I don't like my chances based on recent feedback. But we won't be D+ until after our March cruise so who knows what it will be like by next summer.
  4. This is embarrassing because I am a huge fan of the sport itself and obviously support my MLS team and our national teams, but I don't have an EPL team. I played as a kid (I was a very mediocre keeper in HS), always followed the US national teams, and got into MLS when OC joined, but I had no connection to any particular English clubs and never came up with a reason to randomly pick one... so I mostly root for whichever team has some yanks on it but I really don't follow any European leagues too closely for lack of a team to support.
  5. All your reasons make sense and mostly won't apply to me or are out of my control. I'm going to be with tons of kids almost every cruise. My interior will always be an interior so I don't think that will matter. Haven't found one yet where I thought, wow, best interior ever! 🤣 Can't control the pax and crew. And for the limited specialty dining we do, we knew we liked it on Wonder... just waiting to try Giovanni's Kitchen. I was really just curious. I'd sail any Oasis class ships that happens to be at PC. That said, while I'm sure we'll enjoy Allure, we will almost definitely prefer Wonder just b/c of the few differences I know... that will affect my wife more than me.
  6. There's a lot wrong. The list of things she will eat is pretty short... and amazingly it used to be even shorter. She tries some new things but likes almost none of them. We get the burgers at Playmakers that come with all types of stuff (bacon, cheese, an onion ring, etc.) and she orders hers COMPLETELY PLAIN, just the burger patties and the bun, not even cheese, then adds ketchup. I make her get the onion ring so she can give it to me.
  7. You shouldn't have any problem. Everyone who parked there and will be getting off Allure will be opening up spots for you. We always park in the garage and whether it was on the Oasis class ship on Sunday or the ship doing the 3/4's on a Monday or Friday there have always been plenty of spots if you get there on the early side (9:30-10:00). Allure requires more parking than Indy but the extra spots should take care of that. Worst case will likely be that you have to park in a surface lot and not the garage.
  8. Looks good! If they had chicken tempura we might consider going. Wife loves tempura but won't eat any seafood... and she's also picky about which veggies come with it of course. We used to get tempura nearby and the place would make her nothing but carrots and broccoli as her veggies (I think those were the two). Onions aren't on her approved list. You clearly get why I asked about food on Allure so much by now.
  9. I'm on Allure 3 weeks from today, 10/25. Entertainment was open before I even booked the cruise, lol. For some reason no one wants to see the ice show that sailing, every slot was open (and most still are). Everything else except Mama Mia (which I have no interest in) was "sold out." Naturally I kept checking even though standby is fine and we could always sit in the "secret" deck 7 climbing wall seats for the aqua show if we wanted but a few seats opened up for an aqua show day/time that works for us so I got that booked to. Will just go to the comedy show very early one night and try to be at the front of the standby line (wife loves stand-up). Think we're going to skip Blue Planet. What makes Symphony better than Wonder for you? Other than Q class, it's one ship I've paid almost no attention to since it's never been at PC.
  10. That's my wife's 2nd entree to go with her filet and I agree its good. It would likely be mine if I didn't like carbonara so much.
  11. We need to cruise together. My wife won't go near sushi either. She'd eat chicken teryaki at Izumi but I'm too frugal to go there just b/c I like sushi.
  12. You lost me at the sauce, lol. TBH, I may not have ever tried it because, like you said, I don't like sauce on a good steak so I always get mine without it. Maybe I'll ask for it on the side. We'll be eating there on Allure in 3 weeks.
  13. I'm only missing Symphony, and I'm happy to sail on any of them (will be on Allure in 3 weeks), but I agree.
  14. That's my go to entree order... filet and carbonara. I'm not even a huge fan of filet, I like some fat in my steak like a ribeye, but it has always been good there.
  15. That's why we like Giovanni's, you can get a very good steak but also Italian dishes to go with it. Love the meat & cheese app.
  16. The letters could be different but, yes, that was my main point. Thanks. The 11-11 drinks part jumped out at me b/c I’ve had this conversation a few times. Some have suggested it’s not mentioned for some nefarious reason like they don’t want to advertise it or this way they can take it away. I think it’s more likely that someone just left it out of a welcome letter template/example a long time ago and, like a lot of things, no one bothered to fix it.
  17. Nothing has changed. They will still make all those reservations & the letter never mentions the 11-11 drinks on Ossis class for some reason. Ask for whatever reservations you’d like & feel free to ask about the 11-11 drinks.
  18. Each casino only has one floor. It’s more like a smoking side & non-smoking side.
  19. I’ve never actually sailed from there but I’ve heard good things.
  20. Nothing except the stupid bridge that keeps Voyager class and above from porting there. Sorry, I know you weren’t asking me, I just wish I had a 2nd port with such a short drive… but not a fan of smaller ships.
  21. Yeah, with less than an hour left on our 7 day courtesy hold my wife finally said “book it!” She was really torn with some work stuff but made peace with it. We enjoyed 11 nights on Indy last year and would sail her again but I do prefer Oasis class. Looking forward to Allure and a couple restaurants we may never see again… but I’m just happy to be squeezing in another October cruise. Only our 2nd ever not during summer or spring break.
