  1. I thought the same thing! If the Captain hadn’t come o n to tell us, we would have missed it. We were at dinner.
  2. There you are! now maybe if we’re ever on a cruise at the same time I’ll be able to recognize you….but of course you’ll need to wear a hoodie 😁
  3. Nice! We have a Serenade block, but it’s clear. We should be getting another one on our segments in the summer, I would love if it was the same and has the 2 sides like yours..
  4. I think the food choices and quality vary ship by ship. For example, in October we cruised a 27 day B2B on Odyssey and the food choices and quality in the WJ were far better than we had in a long time. I would rate it an 8+ We also just did a B2B on Radiance and it was terrible. Both the choices and quality were subpar. They pretty much served the same stuff every day, except for dinner because they mimics the MDR mostly. Cheap mystery food swimming in red sauce every day, multiple choices of that, burgers, hot dogs, pizza, fries, mashed potatoes. I didn’t starve, but for what we paid for the NYE cruise, I won’t cruise Radiance again and it was always one of our favorites. And yes I did voice this to the WJ manager in a nice way when he saw me wandering around with an empty plate every day and came over to me. My rate for it is 2.
  5. it’s so cool (literally lol) to see the huge chunks of ice. When we did the Arctic Crossing in 2022 and did a day cruise on Prins Christin Sund, the crew was all outside with us the whole time. I was so happy to see them enjoying it as much as us. I’m trying to attach 2 pics. Not sure if this works.. one night during dinner the captain announced for us to go out and see the train of icebergs, and the sun was setting at the same time. Sorry, I can’t get the iceberg one to post… IMG_5258.heic
  6. this is what it says in our cruise Planner for our upcoming cruise on Wonder EDIT to add I would use the onboard BOGO
  7. I can’t take patches either, they made me blurry and closed my throat and I couldn’t swallow, so I tried Bonine if I felt the seas were rocky, but it made me too tired. So I stopped everything and oddly the seas don’t bother either of us and even though Bob gets motion sick on amusement park rides, he’s ok on a ship. But I always carry Ginger essential oil and if I feel queasy at all, even if it’s from too much food, I dab it behind my ears and on my wrists. It doesn’t smell at all like the ginger we’re used to, but it does help a lot.
  8. When we lived up north on Long Island we routinely shoveled a path to the grill in winter 😁 where do you live?
  9. Thats absolutely true. We all have an idea of things we want….and if a couple of ships are close in all the likes, but one ship has that extra thing, like late night snacks, then that will be the one they pick.
  10. Oddly I don’t remember that…..but our first cruise after shutdown was in a GS on Allure, so we ate in CK every meal for that cruise. We used to always eat in the MDR for the out to dinner feeling, but lately we’ve been eating dinner more and more in the WJ.
  11. Too bad the video won’t upload... maybe take a shorter one…we all want to see the action. 🌊
  12. Theres so many different reasons (too many to list) for the choices anyone makes for which line and ship…..
  13. Hard for me to believe people would choose another cruise line specifically because their buffet is open later, but I suppose some may do that, I don’t plan our cruise vacations based upon the buffet being open after 9. I love the ocean and visiting other countries in a floating hotel. Goes to show everyone is different and that’s perfectly fine.
  14. It’s almost like a workout trying to walk straight when seas are like that.
  15. We don’t even use pizza sauce anymore, we actually prefer just using a 14.5oz can of Cento crushed tomatoes that I buy online from Cento, they’re just the right consistency and very sweet and not acidic. Then we put our toppings on and lastly I sprinkle a seasoning on top that I got in Florence that I can’t get here and that adds just the right flavor.…..now I’m hungry again 😁
  16. We’ve always been able to use the BOGO for lunch and not just on day 1 or 2, but that may depend on the way each ship handles BOGOs.
  17. That’s exactly how we make pizza…..bake the dough for a few minutes before assembling it. And we just had it last night as a matter of fact….we don’t buy pizza, we always make it at home, including the dough. We're from NY and just can’t find good pizza in Florida where we live
  18. I agree but I'm whispering this answer so HQ doesn't hear me…..we enjoy lunch on sea days 🤫
  19. I think the OP was looking for a place for their son and DIL to get early coffee since they’re not Elite or Diamond. I agree, the coffees in the CL are a great perk!
  20. We’ve gone up a few times just before 9 to get water or a cookie and there’s hardly anyone in there and so much food is wasted. They have to throw out everything that’s leftover. Over time it probably costs them more than it’s worth, plus they would need extra staff there. Theres usually always a place to get water, and pizza or other snacks. We sometimes bring cookies or breadsticks to our cabin for late night snacks, so for us, we don’t need it open late.
  21. it puts me to sleep too and I tried a couple of times to get through it, but I just can’t.
  22. Oasis and freedom and most likely Icon are great choices for families….we’re older and dont cruise with kids.
  23. I always bring at least 2 extra weeks of meds just in case…..along with the whole medicine cabinet of cold meds, antibiotics, pain meds, etc. Bob always says packing is easy, he just packs clothes, And he found out how important all the other stuff is when he got a cold on the Odyssey TA….
  24. You could try GoodRx or Cost Plus Drugs, Mark Cubans website. I’ve looked and the prices are really good! All you would need is to have your dr send the script electronically I think.
