  1. Sorry Pat, I went to bed. I promise we will talk more tonight. Looking forward to us getting together. Last night was incredible. I had so much fun. It 5:30am, I’m ready to go. Don’t know what you are doing at Coco Cay, we will be a Coco Cay Beach Club. If your going there will be a bunch of us. See ya!
  2. Hanging in the Schooner Bar with the Bella Cruisers with cocktails. @Ocean Boy This is for you! Kraken Alexander. Fantastic!! New Fashioned. I’m old but I like new. Pierre Collins with Hennessy. And some of the gang! An amazing group of people I’m proud now to call good friends.
  3. Only took 3.5 hours to upload. Too many kids on Instagram and Snapchat.😆 https://youtu.be/QOYmNzIQ9LI
  4. First night dinner in the MDR. Linda and I were happy with the food. Hot and delicious. SOP, My Old Fashioned. A little strong on the bitters but good. Escargot always a favorite of mine. Prime Rib medium rare. Very good Linda got the fried chicken and was happy. New on the menu, dark chocolate custard. A little different but who doesn’t love chocolate. One thing we did not care for is the fact you can’t have 6pm MTD reservation. The earliest was 7pm for us all week. You also had to stand in line where as in the past if we had reservations we could bypass the line. They also couldn’t guarantee that we would have he same table or waitstaff. We raised concern with our waiter and he brought over the MDR manager. He asked what time we would like to have dinner? We said 6pm. He said how about 5:45pm which we said perfect. We inquired about having the same table and staff so it would be more personalized. He moved us from the 3rd level to the 4th with a secluded table that was the same for all our visits and same staff. Moral of the story it never hurts to ask what you want and be pleasant when you ask.
  5. First time as a virgin in the Diamond Club. Very nice appetizers and finger food. Some of our fellow Bella Cruisers Very tasty. I think I like being Diamond.
  6. Our room. 8676. We like being on the Central Park level. For some reason it seems like there is no space also not great for plugs but if you hunt there is one under the bed on the phone side. Having a European adapter for that European plug is a must have for any cruiser. Here is the one under the bed. I plugged a two plug/two usb adapter. Luckily we have long usb cords for the phones. Off to sail away. Sorry my balcony does not a good place for magnetic mount as there is no metal where I would need it. So no Go Pro Timelapse.
  7. We decided to beat the traffic even if we have to stand around for an hour. Come say hi! Warning I’m not pretty.
  8. Good question, I liked both of them as they tasted very different from each other. The smoked old fashioned was made with Bulleit which I like. The Ron Zavala was very smooth.
  9. Dinner was at “Dolores but don’t call me Loleta” in Brickell. Fantastic food and I highly recommend this place. We started outside but it started to rain so we moved indoors. Decor was very cool. I started out with a much needed cocktail. A Ron Zacapa Old Fashioned. Linda a frozen Sangria. Happy hour prices were a big plus. It’s nice that an appetizer comes with the entree price. For appetizers I had the lobster quesadillas and Linda the fried plantain. So good. We also got an order of cornbread. Best cornbread I’ve ever eaten. Look at that scoop of butter For mains Linda had the fried chicken which had a great crust and had some sweetness to it. I had the black truffle linguine which was heavenly. Loved that thick parmesan cream sauce. We split their world famous chocolate cake. It was very good but I don’t know if it’s really world famous. It did come with sides of strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. After that I was in a food coma. We went back to the hotel for a nightcap. A smoked old fashioned. I’ll give this hotel a lot of credit for pleasing us. When I asked where the bar was for a nightcap they said let that be on us and gave us a $30 credit. I thought that was really nice after the day we had. Time for night night. See everyone tomorrow for our adventures. Cheers. PS. Thanks to everyone for their support and help in all the hotel problems we had today. You all are the best!
  10. I looked for you at the restaurant but did not see you. We left right at 7pm. Incredible meal. Highly recommended this restaurant. Glad you had no issues. Linda finally talked to hotel manager who blamed the problem on computer glitch. We are getting a credit. Linda is still going to go after them and pursue more. She was masterful arguing with the manager. Pleasant but very firm. I love her! Yes let’s do that!!!!?
  11. We are finally here!!!! You can tell you are staying at a very nice hotel when the front desk host gives you a chilled glass of champagne. Most of you have heard the horror story of Hampton Inn and Suites Miami/Brickell downtown walking us and canceling our reservations even though we confirmed them earlier in the week. Linda should hopefully hear back from Hampton to make sure they don’t charge us. Unfortunately when we scrambled to get another hotel they required full payment since it was the day of and they were full. AKA hotel in Brickell is really beautiful and it should be for $800/night. At least we get complimentary breakfast. The rooms are very nice You can see a Carnival ship in the distance. Really nice bathroom. Dinner tonight at “Dolores but you can call me Loleta.” Hostess says it really good. More later I need to calm down and take deep breaths after today.
