Landed and Ubering to hotel.

We might be doing that strategy too. About $800/night is what we will be paying after our original hotel stiffed us.

Finally! Touchdown in about 45 minutes.

They first said there was nothing they could do. Linda talked with a manager and he said to email them a picture of the confirmation. Right now we are already paid for the other hotel. Just don’t want to get charged for a no show when it’s their fault. We always travel a day before but might rethink that to 2-3 days before.

Boarding!

Now they are saying we don’t have a takeoff spot yet so we are delayed boarding.

We will take a taxi or Uber to hotel then probably the same for tomorrow to the cruise port. It will be expensive but so has just about everything on this trip has been.

Go Pro App with Go Pro Studio but the app does not support it anymore. It’s nice because they have some nice plug and play templates.

Someone over on Oasis FB group said they were told their delay was due to a rocket launch. I looked at this. Would this cause all flights in Florida to be delayed?

Well the hits keep on coming. Now air traffic control in Florida is slowing down all flights. Our flight is now delayed. Now we have to sit around for 4 hours.

I think that is exactly what they did. As Captain Lee would say “I’m madder than a pis#%d off chicken.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did even though I have a printed copy of the reservation that says we check in today.

Well we managed to get another hotel after Hampton Inn and Suites Miami/Brickell Downtown “Walked” us (read that’s the term) and now we are at a hotel close to the other but a whole lot nicer. That’s a $800 per night nicer than the $400 we were to pay at Hampton. Lets hope they don’t cancel us when we get there. On our way to Atlanta. For those who know my last episode, YES I’m drinking water

Yes we will do that. Hopefully at least get reimbursed for the extra $400 it’s going to cost us for the other hotel. Heck I need a Kraken now on this plane after the morning we are having. I hope so too. Thanks Mark!

I’ll let you know if I need it, Thank you so much. The woman on the the phone with Hampton said there was nothing they could do. Linda is going to call Hilton Honors when we get to Atlanta. She’s a lawyer and knows how to raise holy ***. I hope so too, Thanks.

Hotel Fiasco We were booked at the Hampton Inn and Suites and I got a confirmation email at time of booking. I also called earlier in the week and they confirmed. Linda got a email wanting to confirm our reservation when she went to do that it said no confirmation number. So here we are getting ready to board and she calls the hotel and they say that our reservation was for last night even though our email and confirmation said it was for Saturday March 11th. They said they have no rooms. So Linda frantically searches and finds another hotel in Brickell, AKA Brickell. Looks nice but the cost will be $800 a night. $400 more than the other hotel. It’s not worth fighting Hampton Inn now but we may try and see if our travel insurance will give us relief. And the hits keep on coming. I also forgot my Go Pro. I thought it was in my backpack but apparently not. Sorry no sail away time lapse
