  1. One more band I saw several times and forgot to mention Toto. They came to KC and played at our Worlds of Fun Park Amphitheater. I was a house sound engineer at the time during the summer. I got to help the roadies unload a semi tractor trailer of equipment. And worked with their sound engineers on our system. They even had my stay in the sound booth while they played. Got to meet the band which was incredible because drummer Jeff Porcaro was a inspiration for me. Great guys and monster musicians.
  2. I loved Herman’s Hermits. I wore out my 45rpm of this great song. I loved Karen Carpenter’s voice. Her Christmas album is one of my favorites. She also was a really good drummer.
  3. We always purchase the Chef’s Table while on board and always get it at a discount. Usually 50% off if you are willing to be flexible on the day.
  4. Sorry I’m late but looking forward to following along on your adventures. Have a great cruise.
  5. I also was a huge Monkees fan. I had all their albums. I wish I could have seen them live. I first got turned onto Paul Revere and the Raiders after seeing them on the tv show “Where the Action Is.”
  6. So my list of concerts is long and I may have forgotten a few. Paul Revere and the Raiders (first concert and saw them 4 times) Deep Purple (2x) Emerson, Lake and Palmer Pink Floyd Asleep at the Wheel Jethro Tull The James Gang Black Oak Arkansas Chase Chicago Blood Sweat and Tears Earth Wind and Fire (4x) Chaka Chan Bloodstone Commodores with Lionel Ritchie Todd Rundgren Maynard Ferguson Big Band Buddy Rich Big Band Count Basie Big Band Billy Cobham Par Metheny Gary Burton John Scofield Porcupine Tree Peter Gabriel
  7. Wow amazing costumes! I must have missed an earlier post. Why is everyone dressed in costumes? The opera house looks amazing. Such history there.
  8. Yes it was. This was at a bar that all my coworkers go and where I met Linda. I told my station I was going to propose and they sent a camera crew over to capture it and then put it on the news that night. Linda had no idea because when she walked in she was used to seeing all the channel 9 people who were my friends. I invited some her close friends who frequent the bar also so she wasn't surprised until I said I had to go to the bathroom where I stashed a tux earlier. The server came up to her with the box and said this is from a secret admirer. At that moment I came out with the camera crew behind me and the bar owner who was a friend of mine gave me the mic to bar PA system where I proposed. It was a fun evening and I'm glad she said yes. Lol Ha I didn't even think of that. Guess I should have not been lazy and spelled it out.😜
  9. We quit going to restaurants on VD years ago as it was always so crowded. We got to the point where we would call ahead to out favorite Italian restaurant and get carry out. It was a nice way to have a good meal in the privacy of our home. Now it’s gotten to the point where everyone is doing carry out and it takes hours. Tonight I will just grill some fillets and I got a nice chocolate dessert at the store. Sometimes simple is better.
  10. Happy Valentines Day wished to everyone. I love you all and especially Happy Valentines Day and Happy Engagement Anniversary wished to my beloved wife Linda. Hard to believe it’s been 26 years.
  11. Just wanted to tell you about a product I used for the first time after coming home from a Super Bowl party. After drinking over 14 beers and a couple of shots (really I’m not an alcoholic but it was a great party) I poured this powder in a big glass of water and drank it all. It is supposed to replace electrolytes and help eliminate a hangover. This morning I felt great even though I was still tired from the late night. I’m sold on this and bring it along to the Bella Cruise so I can keep up with @John&LaLa @A&L_Ont @Ourusualbeach and others. To quote Travis Kelcie after the Super Bowl, “You got to fight, for your right, to Parrrrr-Tyyyyyy.!
  12. I knew there would be doubters and haters after the Chiefs won the SB. Part of me does not even want to respond. Some of you are angry, some sad, some want to blame the refs. The refs did not win this game for the Chiefs. The Eagles blew it plain and simple in the second half. Here are the facts: 1. Eagles got 0 stops in second half 2. Eagles gave up 24 points 3. Eagles gave up longest punt return in Super Bowl history. 4. Super Bowl teams with a double digit lead at halftime in history are 26-1 going into that game. The only blown lead being the Falcons and the Patriots. Eagles now join that group as a second half meltdown team to lose a SB. 5. James Bradberry admitted to holding Ju Ju Schuster 6. Eagles had no Quarterback sacks I’m not sorry for anything. The Eagles are a great team and will win a Super Bowl in the future. Let’s accept the outcome and move on. I am done discussing this any further. I have more important things to get excited about like the Bella Cruise.
  13. Great story but made me tear up. This game makes me extremely nervous. I am just grateful that the Chief’s made it this far after all the pundits counted them out at the beginning of the year. Mahomes winning the MVP really makes me happy. I hope it’s a good game. I think it will be close. If the Chiefs win it will because the Chiefs offensive line protected Patrick good and I think someone that you don’t normally expect on the Chiefs team to have a incredible play.
