  1. I got extremely lucky. I got my draft card and was classified as a 1H. My senior year of high school I found out that they had discontinued the draft. I came real close.
  2. No that is my other professional musician friend who is my best friend from high school. Good to hear about the water and yes I’d be happy to put something together for you.
  3. I did that for a summer as a young teen. The roughest job I ever did. A bus would pick us at 5am and we were told to bring a sack lunch. We would detassel corn all morning in the hot sun. The edgy leaves rubbing our arms raw. After lunch we would do it some more. It was the worst job I ever did in my life but taught me a lot about myself and working through hard situations. I wish more kids would do work like that. It humbles you quickly.
  4. @Ocean Boy would be proud! Your right I'm not impressed either but it could be just a settings thing. Overall how is the water clarity in Mexico as opposed to other parts of the Caribbean? Could be that the water is just not clear? But I really don't know. Also in that pic everything looks a little soft. How does focus work on that camera?
  5. Yep!!! One of my son’s first job was working at a sushi restaurant cleaning tables as a busboy. He complained about how hard the work was. I laughed and told him you have no idea what hard work is. I told him about how I worked construction during the summers as a laborer. One summer for a month all I did was shovel gravel. It was back breaking work. Most of the kids now a days have never really had to work hard.
  6. Love Clint Holmes. He has been a long time Las Vegas entertainer. Matter of fact my best friend used to play guitar for him. We have gotten together with him several times in Vegas great guy. He also makes guest appearances with another friend of mine’s band Santa Fe and Fat City Horns. Check this out!
  7. I totally agree. I have often said that our kids are the product of the “Me Society.” It’s all about them and what they want.
  8. That happened to me. Did you by any chance have your card near your phone? I was told having your card too close to your phone will cause the card to become demagnetized.
  9. It’s at 58th and Ward Parkway. There is a Reddit thread about it that if you scroll down has a google map link
  10. Wow what a great idea. I may do that next year that would be fun. I had no idea! I’ll have to drive by and take a look. Kinda cool. Going to have to dig a big hole for that one.
  11. I’m with you. I wished we could of gone every year. We did take Jonathan 3 times. One thing I did was have Linda take a picture of us both. The first time I think he was 3 and I held him in my arms. The second time he was 7 so I recreated the picture and the 3rd time he was 17. I took all 3 pictures and put them together to show all three. Here is the picture. Another cool story is that, I got complimentary tickets due to working for an ABC affiliate then owned by Disney. I got 5 tickets even though we needed 3. After getting the tickets we would look for a family that looked like they could of used some help. We would go up to them and ask if they purchased their tickets yet? When they said no we would give them 2 tickets and tell them to enjoy their day. I can’t tell you the joy on their faces as well as shock. We would all cry with happiness. It was a random act of kindness that made our whole trip.
  12. That saved you some money. I was blessed to work for a ABC affiliate. Since Disney owned ABC I could get Complimentary passes for all 3 times we took our son. I hear they don’t do that anymore.
