I agree, NCL seems to be pushing solo/singles away. I had a great solo cruise on Sky Princess for just a little over 100.00 a day in January.

I sailed solo on the Sky January 2023. There was a gathering every night but it was scheduled at dinner time so I did not attend. On the second night I went to the main dining room and asked for a share table. The host said none available and seated me at a table for two. The lead waiter was fine but the assistant took forever to fill glasses with water and deliver bread and never once made eye content or spoke. For the rest of the cruise I had dinner in the buffet which was very good. I booked this cruise just 3 weeks before sail date for 750.00 with 250.00 OBC in a interior cabin.

Hold on to your hat, I did a 8 day cruise NYC to San Juan in a balcony for 375.00 total. The other cruise was round trip from Fort Lauderdale 7 nights inside cabin for 900.00. I have done 6 other solo cruise on various cruise lines and have never paid double. It takes work finding the deals.

I have taken two solo cruises with Carnival and was assigned to a table with other solos and singles.

Look into a overseas freighter for all of you.

I just received a offer from Carnival for $50.00 deposit. The cruise industry is always changing their down payments.

One time my wife and I left the ship in Bermuda with our two granddaughters. They were denied boarding even though they had their ship card. I went back on the ship and located their father so that they could board. Make sure they stay together to reboard and your son has permission to travel from the mother or a court order.

One time I ordered a Martini, when it was served it was made with vodka. Maybe my fault for not asking for a gin martini but the server replaced at no charge. When I place a order now I ask for Bombay Sapphire gin with 3 green olives, shaken not stirred in a chilled glass. LOL

I had a cove balcony on the Magic and the railing did seem to be the same height.

Sailed the Sky in January 2023 and no buffet theme night flyer. The food in the buffet for dinner was delicious.

Go to youtube and search for your ship and add ocean view cabin. For evening entertainment, I would go with NCL or Royal Caribbean.
