  1. yes, firstly, a shorty dress, can't abide doing a public restroom in dangling pant legs...ish! It's sleeveless but I usually take a drape of some sort in case I get cold. I always wear this on a travel day, even car travel. The thought of anything I'm wearing dragging on the floors is abhorrent! Following!
  2. Ethics is agreeing to the terms of your contract which they did and you should. Please...........OK done with this.....
  3. Wait a minute, you already knew and acknowledged in your first post that posters here would react this way, it was no surprise, methinks you were already holding a pot spoon in your hand. You wanted commiseration and got none because for most of us, we've already dealt with circumstances like these and made lots of yummy lemonade. And I would bet money you were notified at some point, but since you could not change plans the way you intended you were incensed. That is not bad service, it's just the breaks...a life is like that; any life has some rain that falls. Even our shabby ones. You won't find any differences on another line under the same circumstances...so I guess you're stuck. Really sorry you are so unhappy about it though...even your life is too short to spend bellyaching about things you cannot change, right? I hope somehow, you do the cruise and have a blast. I love sailing into and out of Nassau just for the sights and the water there, we never get off anymore. We usually spend our time in the Solarium...lots to see right at pier. But, I love me some sea days gazing at Big Blue!
  4. Aqua socks? I never swim in the ocean without them. Mostly sea grass and interesting critters at South Beach but we've always loved it there. The frontside of the island where the jetty goes out and the plane is sunk has lovely deep clear water, swim there.
  5. OUbeach is correct.....And you agreed to this change the day you booked, it's in your contract. I'm sorry it ruined your plans but that is the bottom line. You gave them the right to make changes when you accepted the contract. My best advice is never ignore or dismiss your bookings, they are like little puppies, always watch them closely! Or you might find a big surprise. If you'd been attentive you could've solved this problem long ago. Not to mention Atlantis is just a meh IMHO. Coco Cay just as good or better.
  6. Very Helpful, thank you erby I probably won't hang out there but at least wanted to experience it for a bit, take some pics etc. Pretty sure Cloud 17 or the Swim n Tonic will be our go tos.
  7. I am looking at the $75 pp new Hideaway Beach deal, that we could afford since we can't do the Beach Club anymore at $300+. So I may book that one right away.
  8. That's why I included the ampersand. Not offended by you at all, just disappointed at this latest monetary development.
  9. Yes, they charge for Casitas on some ships, but the whole pool deck is available at your leisure. @crewsweeper And I don't have any jets. Back off.
  10. Serious as a heart attack. I went directly to my plan my cruise and it makes it appear as though no one has access to the pool itself unless you purchase this plan. I expected they'd have some sort of access system, but did not expect to be charged an exorbitant amount just to get in. Sorry is this is not disappointing to some of you, but it is to me.
  11. Well Newcruiser, you just burst my bubble! Knowing I won't be welcome in the Hideaway without serious coinage has me getting hotter under the collar. How dare they charge money for that area?! Never heard of such a thing on a ship before. What other areas will they charge for onboard now? Getting hotter by the minute! Firstly, it cost a veritable fortune just to book this cruise and now you're telling me I don't get to avail myself of several venues onboard for that exalted price??? How can they sustain this policy? Well we'll see in the upcoming days what occurs. I may just challenge myself to see if we can do this cruise with NO Extra money changing hands. I've done it before. I may have to get obstinate!
  12. Thanks so much for your detailed review. We are planning our 3rd Alaska, again Vancouver to Vancouver for our 30th anniversary and I just recently bought an electric wheelchair because of my AFIB. So great to see an Accessible review! We always stay at Canada Place because it's so easy to have your luggage go directly onboard from the hotel. Especially now. Looking forward to your journey. Hoping to snag another aft cabin for 2026 when itin comes out. Up at midnight😜
  13. Layouts in WJ do not concern me in the least. It's the same food no matter. But I do still miss the Honey Stung Chicken!
  14. We are booking with Resort for a Day again, this time to El Cozumeleno. My daughter really liked that one last year. We've been with Nachi 15 times, so now we are sampling everything.
  15. To each their own...but our beds were terrific.
  16. Yes, it's just a buffet but we were not very impressed with it as Nachi, you order your meal and it's prepared there by the Del Mar staff. Their ceviche mixto has always been my snack of choice and the fish of the day with nachos...mmmmm. The buffet at Allegro had a lot of choices but they didn't look the freshest. The hot dogs were icky and hamburgers pucky. Pizza was a joke. The fish and fajitas looked dismal. I ended up with a hot dog, not too good. Hubs had the fajitas, said they were meh. I wasn't there for the food though. Didn't notice any fire damage at all. Don't understand what you meant about new palapas. The pool and the beach are stellar and that's what I was there for.
  17. Don't know when, but the manager said "They are our sister property now, we bought them out". I knew 10 years ago Nachi was for sale, but we just kept going. Don't know about hotel guests, But I sure prefer Allegro now. Beautiful property. Almost nobody was there, maybe 30 people near the main pool. We loved it. Don't know if Del Mar cooks the food like at Nachi, but there could be improvement on that point. Nachi food was always good and fresh...this food was a bit Windjammer like to us. But we are already looking at booking another day there next cruise. We booked the day pass through Resort for a Day.
  18. Remember the Princess and the Pea...and the Three Bears? LOL. To each their own. Both of us slept better on this cruise than many past ones. We thought the beds were "Just right". In fact we talked about it every morning. No toppers either. They must've just been replaced I guess.
  19. Diamond Lounge: everything a knockout punch. Coffee machine is new and works great, snacks were the best I've seen in many years. We were cruising with family so didn't spend a lot of time there, but for the first time in years, we are tempted to spend more, at least on this lady. Only real disappointment was the quality at Johnny's. Didn't do too much WJ, we ate at Solarium Cafe often, breakfast and snacks, thought Sambas Grill was very good! I felt guilty though, so much wasted meat, just couldn't hold it. But worth the $$. Their short rib was to die for. I was quite satisfied with MDR. Ate lunch a couple times at Wipeout, it is what it is...Taco Bell, but I think Taco Bell is better. I love Taco Bell Chalupas! Big hit of the venues was Chops which shocked us. We'd almost sworn off it. They were terrific. Park 150 was a meh. Giovannis, so so, not as good as the Kitchen on Odyssey.
  20. No grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I much prefer the chairs with the foot stools that slide under than the ones they have now!
  21. That was then, this is now! RCCL is slowly but surely sailing away from us. My 2026 Anniversary year is completely blank and looking bleaker by the day. Looks like our upcoming Sept. ICON, blissfully cheap booked last October, may be our last.
  22. Did a price check just now to re-evaluate and not only are there no accessibles at all to be had for the entire fall/winter season next year, even the interior gty is coming in at around $5200!!!!!!!!!!! Incredible! Compared with ours: 2373.00 Amount Paid 500.00 Balance Due $1873.60 Guess we should be overjoyed. There definitely won't be a repeat in my lifetime! 🥺
  23. Absolutely! If we'd waited we wouldn't be going at all! This is all too rich for our blood. We've got 30th anniversary coming up Jan. 2026, so we wanted to get into possibly a loft, that's bad enough on the sisters, but just thinking about how much our lowly inside interior would cost today, we may be celebrating early on Icon! Sal, I am the same way, nothing touching me or I can't sleep. Unless I want to be clocked by my bull in a china shop. 🥴 We booked a deck 10 accessible
