I Think the biggest insult to the op is the fact that they are touting a reasonably high end suite and then acting dumb when the already known problems are brought to their attention and flap about trying to "fix" a problem that they know realistically can't be fixed. It's a despicable way to treat your loyal guests. Honesty is something that SS as a company is quite happy to forgo if they believe that they might just get away with pretending otherwise. I Witnessed this first hand on our disastrous post Spirit stretch cruise. We were lied to left right and centre. I For one don't react very well when I'm assumed to be a mug. If SS are happy to carry on chancing their arm on people not complaining then fair enough, that's their game plan. They need to accept though that when they game people on very well deserved vacations that they know are going to be less than stellar because of a problem that they are knowingly unable to fix then they need to put their hands up.

So to take my mind off other matters that are breaking my heart right now (extremely poorly cat) what would be the best way for a cooler on a round the world in 30 days (plus the bonus day) trip around the world to cross Canada , find time to visit dear friends in Carleton place, have dinner at black tartan kitchen, see Niagra falls, visit more dear friends in Albany, sail past the Statue of Liberty and head back to JFK to fly to Dublin and then sail into Liverpool?

I’m destined for going down the escalator myself WWFT and I’m hoping that’s how I’m greeted when I get there! Along with some proper roasties if I die on a Sunday.

Sorry but not sorry. My dander is well and truly up! Why on earth is SS visiting Saudi Arabia? Yes it's exotic and off the beaten track but that's for good reason, Yes, not many of your friends have been there, that's also for good reason but really? The "modernisation" of KSA is an utter farce. The huge publicity they sought over allowing women to take a driving test a couple of years ago seemed like a huge step forward? What we are told is that women are allowed to now book a driving test! What we are not told is that those women that book a driving test are stoned when they turn up to take it (And I don't mean in the Willie Nelson sense of the word). Women visiting on cruise ships are forced to wear a burqa and everybody is ushered away from the public executions. I, Personally, would be beheaded there just because I'm in love with another man. I For one wouldn't be so much worried about my visa application being approved but being beheaded, I must admit, it would be a bit of a downer on my holiday. Silversea, why are you not boycotting such regimes? Would you happily take a gay person on this cruise knowing the consequences that they might face or would you come clean and advise them against taking this cruise?

We've got 3 more than you to choose from and that's after we've booted out K,Q,V,X and Z! All the silly letters (Unless you play Scrabble)!

But if you stay on the ship you mightn't ever get to experience the excitement of the public executions or ever get the chance to wear a burqa on a bus. The roar of the crowds as heads and hands roll into buckets. There are many "not to miss" highlights of the KSA.

They are provided daily in steerage if you are granted VIP status. I'm not sure if they are available to non VIP pax if you request them though.
