  1. Easily dressed up I suppose but which evenings can they be worn in La Terrazza again?
  2. What a wonderful idea Silkis! 🙂 Can anyone donate any hush puppies to my "blending in" wardrobe? 46 wide.
  3. Good grief no, they are awful. I was thinking more along those lines. There are,of course, always Loubies too.
  4. Are they like Church's for poor people?
  5. This video I did from our June 2019 Alaska on the Muse shows you what they were serving then. The Omakase doesn't seem to have changed much since then. The Tepenyaki was all part of the experience.
  6. My partner isn't travelling with me Lola, so I'm solo in that respect. The only stop I'd like to have seen would be a stop in Tasmania. I'm not even sure I'll be taking the Loubies, I Don't think Celebrity are ready for them, I'll just have to slum it in the Ferragamos. 🙂
  7. What a shame. We absolutely loved Kaiseki on our Muse Cruise June 19. Joseph was the chef and it still rates as one of the best meals we’ve ever enjoyed at sea. It wasn’t authentically Japanese but after all it was on an American/Italian owned ship sailing through Alaska. The produce was of the finest quality and couldn’t have been prepared any better. It’s sad to hear that things have slipped. I Certainly hope they manage to get the magic back.
  8. I Had some very nice cravats from darcy. Could you not have fitted Bates with some stabilisers? I Think O’Brien did it.
  9. Come on Mr L, we all know that Loubies aren’t designed to wear outdoors.
  10. It seemed like a good idea at the time Lola. I’ve got dear friends that are in steerage and didn’t want to miss out on time with them. The itin was exactly what I wanted and the timing was perfect. Just a shame about the company but I Hope they aren’t quite as pitiful in real life.
  11. Yeah Emtb. I Had a an absolute ball on Crystal when the Symphony was arrested, that was a fantastic ship and can’t wait to try the new Crystal.
  12. I Work 334 days a year to enjoy my month off. I couldn’t give a bugger what the programme says I’m never going to be the least dressed person in the room. I,For one, embrace the chance.to get my glad rags on. Grumble and gripe all you like but if you want to wear shorts to dinner then chuck £499 in P&os direction for a weeks all inclusive but don’t complain when you get glassed at the bar. You takes your chances.
  13. NP JHB, just steer clear of any subjects on the X boards that mention vaping. They are worse for your health than accidentally inhaling nicotine that doesn’t exist and will kill you faster than niocin. I was so excited about my upcoming on X but frankly would rather accompany a large stone to the bottom than share a lifeboat with any of the Xccers.
  14. TBH HJB, I’ve been having a bit of a battle over there. Some of the posters find it hilarious that my dad died of Mesothelioma and there are enough warriors there that they would have ended WW1 in a week. I’m more than a little disgusted in my future cruise “buddies” and seriously regretting booking the whole thing. I’ll happily express my displeasure in person if they have a pair though.
  15. I’m in steerage eating potatoes. Apparently my window goes up and down and there are some festoons but apparently no drawers. Can these people even read? I Think they might be cannibals.
  16. I’m so sorry to hear that Silkroad. It’s so desperately sad. I still worry now as my dad used to come home in his work overalls covered in asbestos fibres and put them in the laundry basket. Who knows? I Still believe tough that the policy needn’t effect anybody if it is introduced responsibly. If vaping were permitted in part of the Casino that was clearly separated and there was a clear policy then it would harm nobody. The particles emitted are almost zero within 2 seconds. They just don’t travel. I Would actively encourage people to vape if it means they give up smoking. I’m sorry that my opinions have caused such a backlash but I won’t be bullied into silence.
  17. I’m so regretting booking on the Edge for January 24. I Can only say that CC Celebrity passengers give me the distinct impression that they would barely pass a DNA test. What an absolute shower they are.
  18. In the interests of good will, I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you really aren’t aware of how offensive you are being. Yes it is a matter of life or death when people whose lives could be saved by switching from smoking to vaping. When you have held the hand of your father as he takes his last laboured breath you might not be so willing to mock people. Do you really think that your mockery is funny?
  19. I Think we’re done. Your hilarity at a subject that is so important to people on both sides of the debate and your lack of any valuable input tells me all that I need to know.
  20. That says an awful lot about you. I Do feel very strongly because I believe that in the future less people will have to watch their loved ones slip away so painfully in front of them. I’m not sure which part of that is so hilarious to you.
  21. As indeed I watched my own father die from Mesothelioma and lung cancer(he was a boilermaker in a Shipyard and a smoker) I Feel your pain horseymike and I am sorry to hear that. That’s why I am so glad I have ridden myself of my 60 cigarette a day habit and vape instead. I Tried many times to stop smoking and never managed to get even close until I discovered vaping. I Would never dream of humiliating anybody for making that switch nor throwing around the accusations and suppositions that have been vented here over the last few days. There is so much misinformation spouted around the subject by people that haven’t a clue what they are shouting about. I Have done a lot of research myself around the subject and whilst there is more to be discovered about the long term effects of such a new thing, I for one am convinced that many lives will be saved. Yes I completely understand how the very few that are happy to puff clouds of vapour in front of others are an annoying minority, the vast majority of us that vape whilst respecting those around us are very conscious of what we are doing. I Reiterate clear rules must be in place and rigorously enforced.
