  1. Please don’t misquote or misinterpret me. I’ve no wish to get into a bun fight with such people. What a vey poor representation of Celebrity passengers this thread is bringing out. I’m out of here.
  2. Thank you C4HCG, its nice to know that not all Celebrity passengers are like that. I Wonder how many people that vape have read this thread but haven't responded because of the vitriol they know they'd receive? I Must admit it has dampened my excitement for the cruise, I really wouldn't choose to be on a ship full of people that shout you down and call you a liar as soon as you disagree with them. It's hard to hear someones point of view whilst you're shouting at them. Seems to be the way these days though, if they don't agree with you shout at them until they do.
  3. I'm starting to regret booking my first Celebrity cruise. I Had been really excited about it all but have a sinking feeling I'm not going to enjoy it if these boards are anything to go by. I Think I'll steer clear of them in future.
  4. It certainly doesn't emit enough for anybody nearby to be inhaling any of it and I consciously don't breathe out for a few seconds which absorbs all of it. Please don't accuse me of lying.
  5. I For one welcome it. I Vape with a very discreet device that barely emits any vapour. I Don't at all agree with smoking in an enclosed area and would never do so myself, nor use one of the vapes that churns out clouds of vapour. I Think the vast majority of people that vape are the same. My little vape couldn't upset anybody and if keeps me from going back to 60 cigarettes a day then I'm happy. Please don't tar (pun intended) everybody with the same brush. Yes there has been some research done with questionable funding about the dangers of vaping but there is a lot more research being done. Public Health England have stated that "e-cigarettes are at least 95% less harmful to your health than normal cigarettes". I'm happy with that. Yes there will always be entitled people pushing the boundaries but please don't think we are all the same and if I'm not effecting you then please lay off the hate.
  6. 100% agree AusMum. I Think I'd prefer to have a real crocodile on the end of each leg than wear those things. Whilst Birkenstocks are not the prettiest, they'd be much less offensive.
  7. Happy Canada day to all of my lovely Canadian friends.
  8. But if you don’t want to part with your Money 2 weeks before your final payment and would rather heap a whole load of stress on your TA then go ahead, that’s what they’re there for. You’d be amazed at people’s interpretations of what 1 week is. I Personally don’t think it’s too much of an ask. If you tell people 1 week before final payment you are chasing things constantly and spending hours on the phone chasing everything. Yes HostJB, systems are different between UK and USA agents. Because of that particular structure, UK agents are able to fight for their clients when they need to as opposed to US agents doing what they can with a wet sponge. If one part of a “package holiday” fails here then the entire amount is fully refundable. That’s a good start.
  9. I Believe it's because it takes a couple of days for card transactions to clear, when clear it is then transferred from the branches own account to the head office account and then it needs to be forwarded from head office to the line. That's why 2 weeks is less stressful all round without chasing multiple transactions daily. It's as much about the verification and forwarding on for each step along the chain where it sometimes takes a day or two for each step to complete. I Think.
  10. I Agree Lola my partners agency state 2 weeks before the line requires it to allow everything to clear.
  11. We had this on the Silver Muse. I don’t think our neighbours left their suite for the whole 10 days, they didn’t even venture onto their balcony. We went old school and kept banging on the wall.
