You can add Seven Seas Explorer to the list of those impacted - she’s been turned around today en route to Fiordland and has to return to Australia for a clean - apparently near Adelaide Theres a lot of discussion on that “other site” and an emerging thread on the Regent forum

Both are correct - they’re both having issues plus a Princess ship also had issues before Christmas Explorer is now bound for Adelaide according to Maritime Traffic after turning around in the Tasman on her way to NZ

They’ll be heart broken I’m sure Do you really think NZ should not protect its environment from contamination by foreign pests?

You can’t do the referral as you haven’t sailed Silversea yet - but it certainly exists

Our 16 day cruise next month cost around A$24,000 and included business air to Cairns and from Singapore (current cost around $10,000 for a couple on the same flights), transfers from/to home and to/from port (say $250) - so 42.5% of the total fare we paid was in air “benefits” so not a very expensive cruise after all that is factored in - I’m very happy with the value equation on it with included air Plus any required changes are going to be Silverseas problem not mine For us it makes sense as opposed to cashing it out

Todays a poolside Indian lunch on Explorer as we cruise across the Arafura sea out of Darwin en route to Cairns - I’m looking forward to that!

I’ve heard that but our experience with their Air has been good - they booked us on our preferred airline and at good times and the booking appeared on My Silversea with details very early - probably 6 months or more out from our cruise

You can certainly do that on Silversea - it is an option to cash out certain elements of Door to Door on Silversea if you want. We didn’t as they presented great value for us eg door to door and business class air included

For those who are non US based I understand they will be accepting a total of five different currency payment options US$500, AUD$700, CAD$650, GBP400, or EUR500 Pretty sure the option opens on the next 24 hours i also understand sailings will commence in November 2023 - but I’m not sure on just where those sailings will be

and of course just when we get that sorted Regent goes and changes the time reservations open to 8pm EDT - just linking to that for anyone who looks for the correct time in the future
