  1. While I haven't been on Wonder, I had no issues on Odyssey (second newest). The newer ships have a slightly different process since you need to disconnect the hardwired internet connection and reboot the TV (more info on that in the threads in the search results I linked to earlier). There have been reports that some cabins (like maybe some GS), the TV is mounted in such a way that makes it impossible to get to the HDMI ports without tools. But that is not a new vs. old question, it has more to do with the cabin itself. However, I think I recall at least one person asking a room steward about it and they had a maintenance person come to help get access the HDMI port (not positive about this).
  2. Can you elaborate as to why? I don't have a Roku, but from my understanding, it's really no different than a Firestick. Firestick is no problem, so not sure why you would say probably not. Search results would suggest you can (but not seeing any hard confirmations) https://boards.cruisecritic.com/search/?&q=roku&type=forums_topic&quick=1&nodes=51&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy
  3. We were on Jewel summer of 2022. It was not using Starlink yet, but that doesn't really matter when talking about the ship's infrastructure. We were in a JS, near the back of the ship (under WJ). We actually had pretty decent wifi coverage. I was able to use my Firestick to watch stuff. The only issue we had were limited bandwidth when we were quite a bit above the arctic circle (totally understandable), and then a couple sea days on the Iceland/Ireland leg (did a B2B), when there were a lot more younger families and teens, so a much higher load on the system. I had issues everywhere on those days, not just the room. Actually, the room might have been a little better.
  4. Not sacrilegious at all. Plenty of questions and discussion on this forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/search/?&q=HDMI TV&type=forums_topic&quick=1&nodes=51&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy You'll find 6 posts of mine on this subject in these results specifically related to Firestick which should be more or less the same for Roku or Chromecast: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/search/?&q=hdmi firestick&type=forums_topic&quick=1&nodes=51&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy
  5. There is no way to "see all of the sites" in a day or two. We spent a week in Rome before a Western Mediterranean cruise, and there's still things we'd like to do "next time". I'm linking to a post I made in another thread back in '21. The thread in general has some good info, but I attached a detailed recommendations document. This is another thread specifically discussing hotels, Abnb.
  6. I feel that more than extending suite perks to the whole group, the OP is more interested in transferring the perks from which ever teen was booked in the suite with him to his wife, who had to be booked in the non-suite with the other 3 teens. Once boarded, I am sure they will get extra cards so that he and his wife are both in the suite, while the 4 teens (or maybe its 3 & 3?) are in the non-suite. The 2 adults should get the suite perks, not one of the 4 teens. But as in the original post, RCI won't let them book it that way, there has to be an adult in each room. Kind of sucks. I have no idea if the hotel manager or suite concierge has any power to do any swapping like that. I feel for you, especially since you sound like you would have been fine paying for 2 suites, but only 1 was available. If that's the case, did you ask about wait listing for a second suite?
  7. I agree with you. But had to highlight the Icon class, because when I told my wife that Icon 2 was named 'Star', she immediately replied that Icon 3 should then be 'Legend'.then
  8. We also have done a few river cruises (3 with AmaWaterways, 2 with others), and plan on doing more. For those interested in river cruises, there is a reasonably active sub-forum on this site: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/115-river-cruising/ People are always happy to answer questions from people about ships, itineraries, ports, etc.
  9. During the day, Safari Club (/LIbrary/CongoBar). Might be different in the Caribbean, but on the Arctic Circle, Iceland/Ireland, there was almost never anything going on in there during the day.
  10. My initial interpretation of the potential to merge the programs would not be that benefits merge, but rather that there is a single, combined counter system. Sailing on any line increments your counter accordingly. Each line could still have their own benefit system with different benefits, even a different schedule.
  11. I believe the app just makes it easier to go to the logon URL, but I am almost positive you can go to the url from any browser and get to the logon page. Might be logon.com, but I don't recall. I've needed to do that in the past when the app wasn't working, but not this last cruise. The Voom desk will be able to help you if no one confirms this and/or the URL before hand.
  12. 🤣Ouch🤣 It's a non-conference game against Louisiana Tech, so they've got a chance...😁 On the other hand, my Hawkeyes are at #7 Penn State. Being optimistic, Iowa usually plays them pretty well, with more than 1 upset win. Hopefully it's a good game and not a blow out.
  13. I assume you want the Nebraska game. As it is on BTN, I think your chances of watching it at any ship venue is basically nil. They are limited in what they have the ability to show. Your best option is as already suggested, stream it on your phone. I've watched 3 Iowa Football games that way on various cruises, most recently last week. Note that if you use YoutubeTV, turn off you location services on you phone. If it detects that you are out of country, it may block you from watching pretty much everything. A VPN can help also. You can also try the FoxSports app (since BTN is actually run by FOX Sports). You'll just ahve to sign into your TV provider account to verify that you are "allowed" to watch.
  14. 🤣I honestly didn't compare. I suppose making the spreadsheet name link to the corresponding post in your thread could be a good idea. 😉
  15. The initials are the first letters of our names. ok, sure. I made a copy and cleared out the names & scores. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qfvK7ZN74-HAuDerdcXQrZMjNw7DKS_XsrjrROCeGS4/edit?usp=sharing A few other notes. There's been a few drink recipes posted twice from different menus. Only listed once under the first menu posted. As a drink from the "Other Classics" was posted as a Royal drink, it was removed from the Other Classics page. The final score screenshot I posted was created by filtering out the rows with blank scores and then coping to a 3rd sheet. I then created an Average column. While I suppose it's technically possible to do that with formulas, arguably not worth the effort, especially when merging data from 2 sheets.
  16. I didn't want to clutter @PG Cruiser's Royal Caribbean Cocktail Recipes thread. We (me, DW, DD, DD's BF) were on Allure last week in our first Star Class suite (and based on today's prices, might be our last), which includes the DBP. Now, we are not big or adventurous drinkers. Prior to making D, we stuck mostly to the Refreshment package, and since becoming D (now D+), our vouchers are plenty (even sharing them with DD & DD's BF on a prior cruise). So, armed with the DBP, and inspired by @PG Cruiser, and the Bella Cruise thread's Drink Scavenger hunt, (and there was someone else that posted a drink checkoff sheet), we decided to try as many drinks as we could. In preparation, I'd been copying the drinks to a Google Sheet as they were posted, and also had another page listing other drinks from the other lists. I shared it with our group to keep track and score. Note, there was a lot of drink tasting and sharing. We did not all have all these drinks on our own. But many favorites were enjoyed more than once. We made it to 50 different drinks! Including the entire new Schooner bar menu! Pretty proud of ourselves. 2 notes: The server in the pub told DD's BF when he ordered the El Toro, that he's never had anyone ever finish one The score on the Toasted Marshmallow Old Fashioned was mostly from creativity So, in the end, we had a lot of fun, and we actually discovered some new favorites to use our vouchers on in the future. I'm still getting some BBCs though!
  17. Maybe 6 years ago, but wishful thinking today. Regardless of what Royal puts in print and what some people want to see happen, pretty sure the only enforced dress code anymore is no swimsuits. Where want you want. Even more simple.
  18. 102 posts in 2 years isn't necessarily what I would consider "New" But still, need to reset the counter:
  19. During the Top Tier event, the Hotel Director said Sabor and Champagne Bar are going away. She did not say "Amplification", but I knew what she meant. She did not say what they were being replaced with, but if I see her, I'll see if she'll give up any details.
  20. I didn't think to ask. But assuming the Amplification happens, then following previous patterns, Allure will spend the summer then doing the Western Mediterranean Barcelona/Rome, with a return TA in mid-late October of 2025. So, I suppose just keep an eye out in the 2025-26 Deployment thread.
  21. As I replied in the Allure Amplification thread, I'm currently on Allure and did the Star Class bridge tour today and our Genie and the other guy doing the tour both said that Allure will get her amplification in 2025.
  22. On Allure right now. During the Star class bridge tour, our Genie and another person doing the tour both said that Allure is getting it's amplification in 2025.
  23. I second that. We went west bound, and spent 3 days in Munich before hand. Did Neuschwanstein, Dachau, a 3rd Reich Walking Tour and a beer and food walking tour. Loved Munich.
  24. My family (3 generations) did Ama's Rivers and Castles and loved it. While I can't compare it to any of your other choices, I can highly recommend it.
  25. Caribbean definitely and Mediterranean probably. However, We did Arctic Circle and Iceland & Ireland. We had some 7/8/9+ hour non-RC excursions, mostly in the middle of nowhere. and while there was always at least 1 lunch stop, taking food from the ship was a must in our book.
