  1. Not to mention, way too dark for anything descent. I honestly forgot about trying to do that. Pretty exhausted and got too much sun today. Went back to the room for a bit and then went out to get the Bridge of the Americas pictures.

  3. My GoPro is still taking 1 pic every 2 seconds on a timelapse
  4. We're clear of the locks and making our way to the Bridge of the Americas.
  5. Actually, it's hard to tell on the web cam without another ship, but we are in the far set from the web cam
  6. This might be the reason. They all came out of the building at the same time and the some garbage out. Lunch break?
  7. "30m delay getting lines attached", but no idea why. I think we should have entered the bottom when Neau Amsterdam entered the top?
  8. Hope @Teeara doesn't mind piggybacking her thread. We did the Expansion of the Panama Canal "The Present & The Future" tour. Saw the new Agua Clara locks on the Caribbean side... ...and the original Miraflores Locks on the Pacific side, where we saw Carnival Spirit. The museum at Miraflores was closed, but the IMAX movie was pretty good. Not sure I would have had time to see a museum anyway. Good thing there's handrails on the inside of the ramp. Safety first!
  9. Yeah, I noticed that around 8:00 PM and came to the same conclusion. We never just anchored and appeared to be still moving. Any chance it's actually easier or more fuel efficient to just putter around slowly rather than try to anchor and maintain position?
  10. We were literally the last tour back. Getting to the ship, there were only 2 other passengers to scan in behind our group of 4. As soon as the last person's seapass was scanned, the security officer proclaimed "zero zero", to which there were muffled Cheers from the crew🀣
  11. FYI, our ship tour won't make it back until about 6:05, 35 minutes after all aboard. So if you're curious who the ship is waiting for, that's us. 😁 Luckily, the ship only needs to leave the dock and go anchor. But we'll miss early MDR seating
  12. We are on a cruise right now. My phone is still logged in, my wife's phone logged out over night. Won't let her log back in. Pulled out the laptop, and won't let me log into either of our accounts via the website. Never had any issue before. So I did the "forgot password" and for my wife's account, for the new password, I just used the old password, and it accepted that. On my account, it told me I can't reuse passwords, so I had to change it. Go figure. At least we can log back in now
  13. The one we got in September on Allure was the new colored one.
  14. It bothered me that my previous picture was rotated a bit, so I retook it. bonus pic
  15. Here's the forum for Gulf Coast departure ports, which includes Galveston. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/316-gulf-coast-departures/ We cruises on Allure out of there last September. We could fly direct to IAH, but not Hobby, so that sealed that deal. We used the Galveston Saltwater Moms from the airport to the Hampton Inn / Home 2 Suites on the sea wall. They do not have a shuttle to the port, so we used an Uber. Surprisingly, it seemed like hardly any hotels I looked at had shuttles to the port. In hind sight, a suggestion I saw on the above forum is what I would probably do next time. (too late for me as I booked a non-refundable rate for the hotel). Get a hotel near the airport that has a free airport shuttle. Then use GSM, Uber, or other private transfer to the port the morning of. Post cruise, we did the RCL Houston Space Center transfer to the airport, as none of us had done that before.
  16. approximately 6:30 sounds right, maybe as late as 7:00. Our table was done with dinner and about to eat dessert. One of our table mates jumped up and ran out to catch it.
  17. Congrats! We earned our second (210) on Allure last September, and we'll be with you on the Allure TA in 2025, and wouldn't you know it, that will be when we earn our third block (280)🀣. I guess I'll be in the market to trade an Allure for symphony (or Odyssey?)😁
