  1. As I walked down Caribe towards C243 I noticed 1 room being stripped down and sanitized mid cruise. Should have been my steward (it was only a few doors down & well within his section) but it was a different crew. Wanted to ask but didn't. Think it was the same room an 'officer' walked to earlier. Anyone know who left via ambulance?
  2. Then he rattled on!!!! 😶 Next time I'm just saying "NO I prefer to eat alone" unless I personally know them.
  3. Yes. I got mine posted in my bank within just a few business days (weekends not included), how long have you been waiting?
  4. Under 'Cruise with Confidence?' Grandson was assured that he could get his passport at SF or Walnut Creek Passport Office by the Clayton office (not sure where SF office is but WC is in the USPS). Hope Walnut Creek was correct
  5. DaVinci by far!! Or whichever dining room is Deck 6 Midship. Michaelangelo (Deck 5 Midship) in normal times tends to have longer lines but both have great access to Vines & GS for starting that glass of wine. (I have only 1 glass at night)
  6. Breakfast: Yogurt parfait but with plain yogurt Vanilla tea Dinner: Pumpkin Walnut crepes Leak cheese souffle Fettuccine Alfredo - yes it was better in the parmesan bowl but still great All of the gelato flavors ex chocolate.
  7. It is unfortunate that they did not refer him to an expediter like the SF, Clayton, and Walnut Creek office does. Yes it's an extra $100 but they supposedly can get one. Grandson has an appointment with them when he returns from current tour ($130 application fee + a $35 execution fee + $100 expedite = $265). The LA offices are at 1. Los Angeles Passport Agency, Passport office in Los Angeles County, California 2. 24 Hour Passport & Visas Los Angeles, 11022 Santa Monica Blvd #100 3. 24 Hour Passport & Visas Los Angeles, 8170 Beverly Blvd #101 I'm not posting that to chastise OP for not knowing but in case others will need an expediter. Yes Princess will respond. This is 2022 not 2020. Refunds are coming through in days not months. In fact, PVPs can get them transferred while the cruiser is on the phone! So yeah, they will state that the person did not cancel but showed up without proper documentation. Sucks!! 🤬🤬
  8. A smallish person could walk right through on the Ruby Princess. Maybe they removed 1 table? At any rate, I only had 1 person ask to join me. Social dictates that I acquiesce ..... has anyone declined that request? He didn't check in just walked in as if he was joining someone he knew (he wasn't). WWYD? Can you give me a reply as I'm sure it'll happen again.
  9. In the past if I called Princess then they could book all excursions under my OBC as its usually fairly large. Moondogy, have you been denied that recently? I've only cruised solo since the restart so my info may be dated (2018)
  10. As stated on the Princess FAQ site: "For information regarding WHTI compliant documents, visit the US Customs and Border Protection website."
  11. Yes but it does also give a link to US Customs & Border Pritection as WHTI can be confusing (For information regarding WHTI compliant documents, visit the US Customs and Border Protection website.)
  12. My Juneau Tramway was $25 August 2021, it's $45 now .... same as in port.
  13. Hi @CTGirl! I just got off the Ruby Princess. In December the Emerald Princess was fine but about 1/2 the passengers. If the Enchanted Princess numbers are closer to the last voyage (2532+) then is it worth it? Will follow this post and ask again
  14. Ok. I now personally know all about unreliable internet access between SF and Victoria. Yeah. Shouldn't be a problem but it is. My next voyage is Southampton to NY. Is MedallionNet worth it? Are there terminals with free wifi at various ports (Bergen, Belfast, Cobh, Azores .... not concerned about Boston)? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth even $5 a day
  15. StatMed has rapid Antigen tests but even better, Albertsons (aka: Safeway, Luckys, Vons, etc) has rapid PCR tests!! Results in an hour + can have 3 days instead of 2 days before cruise
  16. For the 1st time ever I walked out of a show. I was less than impressed with Starlight. 1st time I ever heard those songs and I think there wasn't even a pattern to them
  17. Need help:: Got 'addicted' to the vanilla tea in IC. Does anyone know which brand it is? I thought i took a picture of the tag but can't find it. Guess it didn't save
  18. Then I've got an excellent PVP again. Not only did she tell me to do it, she confirmed that I did. But her instructions were less clear than I got on Cruise Critic Nevertheless when in line I was asked if I did it and was given this: The 3 couples in front of me (mind you I was in the 1st 100 people) had a sticker put on their coat bc they were not given a card (4 actually but 1 did it immediately -- his sticker was removed and given a card the 2nd of 6 times I was asked). 2 insisted they were Americans. (That's kinda like saying I don't need a NZ Visa if going from Australia 😅🤣😂) Disembarkation was a little confusing. I was sent down the wrong line to collect luggage but I'll own that. I should have clarified that I was Navy#1
  19. Plus it was on the emergency email .... ppl just didn't want to take responsibility for their inaction. Then it taints their entire cruise / taking it out on others (CineGraphic at least). I had only 1 line. Lunch in MDR final sea day. But it was completely my fault. I got in line at 11:30 1st seating at noon. And that's when I sat down (I was in line near PSD). I had the same table & waiter I had every night (2top either 418 or 420) Guess I do TD in DaVinci just not intentionally. And Yes I'm going to miss Tudor
  20. Ok. I'm going to ask because I've been wondering throughout the vast complaints::: Didn't your TA or CVP tell you weeks before the cruise to do the ArriveCan? It wasn't just sprung on anyone!! So whom should unaware passengers vent to -> CVP or TA for not forwarding emails or self-booking individuals for not getting it? Was there a breakdown? Who's fault was it? The unaware cruiser or their booking agent?? I got the emails from Princess and my planner and I ass-u-me that Canada has more to say about who can arrive than Princess. I do think that everyone who thought they shouldn't have to complete it once at the pier should have been separated into a 2nd line letting everyone who LISTENED go ahead of them. Maybe they would have downloaded it then instead of insisting AMERICANS don't need to. (Yes those 3 couples ahead of me were ignorant -- American? Which one? Canada, USA, or Mexico? We are not the center of the universe) Now everyone can be mad at me for not being sympathetic.
  21. I cruise Carnival as well so I'm not bashing it. But there has always been a difference in music and IMHO alcohol consumption before this cruise. Princess had no classical and free flowing booze
  22. You're not, it's just that the rest of us are busy enjoying ourselves not eating or shopping. Crooners was packed last night.
  23. I posted a whole response with 6 favorite kosher wines.... none sweet just high quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnays, Cabs .... oh well
