  1. So what you're suggesting is that one of the things the minibar could be traded for is to upgrade from Plus to Premium? Trade in something that has a maximum value of $80 (can be traded for 2 coffee cards OR 24 bottles water OR $40 bottle of wine OR like to like switch) for something that has a $20 value per day? On an average 7 day cruise =$140 / on a repositioning cruise = $300?
  2. I might or might not have 1 glass of wine a day so those pkgs are useless to me. However the minibar covers my coffee / teas 3× a day. Also as a stockholder, why would I want to cut revenue?? You like the Princess Premier? I like you paying for it.
  3. Although I've been to plays & skits in the round (Shakespeare and non-musical) where is the theater? I've only seen a round option .... are they phasing out full scale production shows?
  4. So, they should not try to steal TA clients, since they know that the client has a TA. Except I do NOT think this call is from a CVP. Neither CVP (retired or current) ever cold called me. The only calls I've ever gotten were to return my call or contact me about one I've got on hold
  5. It almost sounds like it's a CVP as he says I'll be working with you along with your travel agent with booking everything from flights to hotels or cruises. I did just email that privacy address that you had sent and post it to ask them to clarify if this is legit or a scam so I know whether or not to warn others I am pretty sure CVPs do not share credits with TAs, at any rate they didn't prior to shutdown, so highlighted portion has me believing it's a scam
  6. Forgot to come back and mentioned that I complained to my CVP in January. She to took it to a supervisor who immediately offered me 100 refundable OBC added to my April cruise which I happily accepted.

  9. @llarsen my preferred room on royal class ships are anything between E403-E433. Maybe E439 but then I do not have sn unobstructed view both ways. I try to get E425 & book no upgrade / watch & make sure I'm not moved ..... umm let me restated. Those rooms suck if I'm also booking 😀😃😄

  11. See above. You're more talented than me. I can't drive to London, Rome, Australia, Japan and not old enough to just sail from SF. FWIW age is a state of mind not a number. My mom flew solo to Brussels at 89 for a month through Europe. Texted me from the airport to let me know. She was never old
  12. According to my now retired CVP they get credit for booking after the cruiser boards. They also get partial credit if they handle a booking that another booked but that one retires. These credits used to work toward covering a future cruise they want to take. That's how a cruise we did together in 2021 was paid for. If they stay long enough then they get a discount on all future cruises & OBC to pass on I think it covers part of her extra OBCs that she passed onto me listed as "Travel Agent Grp Promotion*" * had to go find actual language
  13. My retired one. That flight text was way WAY back in Dec 2021. I can only email my current one. She responds same day, usually in just a few hours. I haven't tried with my new one. Don't need to. Nothing has happened that's SO urgent it has to be handled immediately or within an hour
  14. Until you need to: 1. Have someone change flight back mid cruise 2. Texted CVP as I got off plane in Florida & noticed that NOW my flight home was impossible. Had a new flight by the time I reached the luggage carousel 3. Get a refund sped up (texted CVP bc I was due a $34 refund from Sept 2022 cruise. Obtained 100 OBC instead) 4. 700 canceled flights & I was supposed to arrive in LHR embarkation day / told which airline to RUN DONT WALK TO and made cruise (learned to book a hotel so that won't happen again) 5. Still get "travel group agent OBC" 6. I don't like being on hold. Sorry not my thing I could go on & on but why bother?

  16. I know the article sent out by Cruise Critic says Ketchikan is a port to miss. I couldn't disagree more!! Easy bus ride up to Totem Bight. Free bus ride out to Totem Heritage Center. Honestly it's my favorite Alaska port!!! But I love nature walks at my leisure, and this is the easiest one there. And history that's different from my own. If you want a repeat of what you get in the lower 48, you might not enjoy it. But if you want Alaska you just might love it as much as I do

  18. @MsSoCalCruiser wow that must be frustrating. But at least it's an easy fix for the onboard HW (fixed table for 5: same table / staff / no others at table) since you're willing to accept 5pm.

  20. Personally can't imagine a DMW problem significant enough to bother my CVP (says someone who circumvents that whole issue by just working with the HW)

Had a nonstop home to SFO by the time I reached the luggage carousel. All I sent was a text Last month I got tired of waiting for a $34 refund from a prior cruise. Complained 1× to my new CVP who asked if I would accept 100 refundable OBC instead. 10 minutes later it's on my next cruise. Who do I talk to at a big box?
  22. I've been bugging the heck out of mine today. 2 rebooks, move me to a better room for same price on a 3rd, and check #4+5 to see if i can get that 200 obc (I'm a solo) today. Yes on #4 no on #5. So now 3 of the 5 are credited to her but I've so heard that if 1st CVP d/n complete file to sailing that they both share credit. Maybe thats bc #5 is a perpetually redeployed / pushed back from 11/2020 before my 1st CVP retired So yeah. A new CVP will help prior CVP's & 1800Princess bookings To those who really want to change: 1. Call new CVP and ask if you can use them 2. Send them an email asking them to take over & cc: cruiseplanners@princesscruises.com 3. The new CVP handles it from that point on
  23. I used shore excursion credit in the casino in December 2022. But they also told me that updates to their machines are coming and will prevent me from using OBC there in the future. At that point I might upgrade my standard booking to plus once I board. Until then status quo
  24. Agree. Quite irritating I've never been offered one despite how much I donate to the casino dept. So here's where I'm having trouble relating
