  1. As another Android phone owner (Galaxy S22) I have *sometimes* found that you can clear out any memory or cache that the app is using. Strangely, this data *might* not get removed from your phone during a delete/reinstall. I do not know the true inner workings of the Android world but I equate it to registry settings that are not removed in Windows when a program is uninstalled. Go to Settings/Apps...scroll down to the app and look to see if any of these options are available to you. Sorry, I don't have my phone with me right now or I would check this out myself.
  2. I have always found much better signal/speed just going onto shore-based data while in port. You did not share what carrier you use...I use AT&T and have the International Day Plan in place. Anytime I find myself in a foreign country it just automatically kicks in. It is $10 per day. Over an extended cruise (many ports) it sometimes can get a bit expensive but I just count it as part of the cruise cost and enjoy always being able to use my phone (Android) however and when ever I like.
  3. Don't worry about not being able to pick a time/group. NOBODY checks for that. The general consensus is that this is just a way to spread out arrival times so that everybody does not rush the gate when they open. Just plan on arriving at whatever time fits your schedule and in a relaxed manner. NO STRESS! We' done this for 18 cruises and it is absolutely not an issue. Have a great cruise! P.S. I'm pretty sure we were on a previous cruise with you...I recognize your picture. No clue which cruise it was, though.
  4. We were on the Discovery in August...but sorry, did not run into anyone with that description. She very well could have been on board but we just did not have any interaction with her.
  5. Trust me...each of you are a member of a VERY select few if you've not been having issues all along with the app. Why else would they have a "sticky thread" at the top of the forum devoted to all of the issues? I congratulate you...but most of the rest of us (perhaps those who started with the app in the very beginning) have had some extreme growing pains!
  6. Yes...be very careful what you may toss thinking it's junk mail!
  7. I believe the only place it shows up is on your cruise confirmation that you would have received by email.
  8. Ah! I missed that...you're probably right. Then, I have no idea what the checkmarks are for...
  9. Welcome to Cruise Critic! I've always thought that this would be a lost cause...but I hope not for your sake. Please keep us posted on what you find out.
  10. Hey...don't laugh. There's probably some "fresh out of school MBA marketing kid" who is actually planning this! Or...John Padgett's nephew.
  11. I suspect that the ship does a quickie stop in Ensenada to satisfy that issue. It would have to either coming or going...I think it's usually on return. (I could be wrong!0
  12. Huh? Medallions don't beep. I assume you meant the scanner station?
  13. You have a whole list of possible choices with the Plus package. We are very light drinkers as you are...we can always find something new to trt!
  14. Yes...just take it with you on board and Guest Services will "convert" it to OBC.
  15. I *believe* the checkmark indicates that the person has accepted/approved the "connection" and can now be sent a message. Of course...they STILL will not get any kind of notification as you do a regular text. This function has been crippled since the very beginning!
  16. While I generally consider Princess to be my "go to" cruise line...I am getting increasingly frustrated with the marketing output that simply borders on being fraudulent.
  17. Take a look at mine again: While it's not obvious looking at it, you can plug the 2 prong Euro plug into *either* the top side or the end. I just confirmed this by testing with other Euro plugs that I have.
  18. Yep! As @justafemstates...you have to apply for each cruise. It would be nice if it would carry over but I can understand that policy. They don't know if perhaps you have since sold that stock. I would send it in again. I've emailed requests in for 2 cruises in the past week...I have them aleady showing up. Did you get a confirming email that they received? If not...definitely resend!
  19. You posted after my post...scroll back up...I found a link for you!
  20. Hey...I found it (finally!) https://www.amazon.com/OREI-Europe-Adapter-Plug-Schuko/dp/B008Y8TF88?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=ALEWIQ2F9CQDR&th=1 I think you want the Type E/F style.
  21. Here is what I have. There are NO markings at all on it other than the voltage ratings, so no help there:
  22. Well bummer! It appears that Amazon no longer sells the style adapter that I have. There are all kinds of adapters that give you a simple change from Euro to US style outlets...some/most with USB outlets. Sorry! I did not know they were no longer selling my style. I guess I'll have to keep this one locked up!!
  23. Yes...Amazon had one that duplicated the European outlet as well as giving you a US-style outlet. I've had it for several years now...I think the current ones add a USB outlet but that really doesn't do you much good behind the bed. I'll try and find you a link...
  24. We've done (I think) 5 cruises since the restart...have never had to ask or do anything special to get the printed Patter. Steward has always had one on our bed when we came back from dinner. YMMV
