  1. Not sure about that second outlet...I've seen those before but (if I remember correctly...maybe not!) the pins did not align properly. I could very well be wrong but since I needed an adapter anyway I just got one that did both style plugs. Just one to carry around!
  2. Sorry, do not have a picture at hand but I do this all the time. Just pull the bed out away from the wall about a foot and you can easily reach the outlet. Very often this is what one of the nightstand lamps is plugged in to. Just get yourself a European style outlet that replicates the 22ov European outlet and also has a US-style outlet. Plenty to be had on Amazon.
  3. It never fails...I learn something new on CC almost every time I log in!
  4. No way Jose. Too much risk if/when something goes wrong. Docking at 6:00am is just "the plan". While it may very well dock at 6:00am, you will not be able to get off the ship until local authorities give the go-ahead...and that can easily sometimes take over an hour. My personal advice would be to plan on a 7:30am self-disembark. We have made the 10:30 flights without issue.
  5. That's what I do...I just don't trust anybody else to look after my interests...especially in light of all the recent airline issues. I book my own Delta even if it costs a bit more.
  6. Over $1000??? Yikes! I don't know about anybody else but I could probably replace everything in my bags twice over for that amount of money!
  7. You guys are trying to circumvent the established system here. They will call for you to be re-assimilated back into the Princess norm. An example of this "treatment" can be seen in the documentary named "Total Recall".
  8. Those extra 4 cents go to the pilot as tips... 😄
  9. I'm quite sure they would appreciate anything extra...but @justafem has stated what applies.
  10. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Is it possible that you have 2 (or more) Captain's Circle numbers? We've seen this before where someone booked without being logged in...or it just plain didn't recognize (for whatever reason) your existing number. Check your history under "Account" and see if it shows your past cruises. If you have any docs from previous cruises compare the numbers there. If they do not match you can call in and the rep should be able to fix this rather easily. It's fairly common. Keep us posted as to what you find out.
  11. The basic Marketing premise... "It's all in the presentation. If we tell them it's so...then it's so!"
  12. I was responding to the OP's statement about "old" ships.
  13. I sure hope they get their act together soon! We're booked on her for a May cruise in Europe.
  14. Not sure where you got your info...but we just did an Alaska cruise in August on the brand new Discovery Princess. It was just launched this year. I would not call that old!
  15. You mean given the poor state of bandwidth they're not giving it away? You still have to pay for it? 🙁
  16. Don Terris had a YouTube review of the Sky and some of its shortcomings. Apparently it pays to be a well-known Vlogger! He said officers came to see him during his cruise and talk about the issues he was seeing. Here is the initial posting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qMD1laQeus&t=607s And here is a followup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISy8vVAQrLs&t=309s
  17. Hah! I bought 1 or 2 just a couple weeks ago. It was the same deal as AARP! So sorry everyone!
  18. On the main Target page just search for "Princess Cruise"
  19. FYI - the exact same deal ($500 GC for $450) is available on Target.com. I've already bought and applied a couple from there as well as AARP. Both sources deliver "legit" gift cards by PCL.
