I have a sunset veranda on Deck 8. I would not give that up for anything but another sunset veranda. I finally have my dream come true...an aft cabin!!!

I have never really paid too much attention to the CC points and the discounts you can get while onboard. Just started looking at some of them and I have many questions. (that's because I am an over thinker...LOL) So one of the offers is 1 pre-cruise category upgrade to Aqua Class at time of booking. I have never been offered this. So no matter what cabin category you book, you can get a complimentary upgrade to Aqua? 2nd question, they offer percentage discounts on drink packages, photo packages, bottles of wine, etc. How does this work when you confirm your cruise using the better/best all inclusive options? I am also Emerald on RCCL. How would Celebrity know this to get the perks RCCL offers? m I making any sense? Thanks in advance. Kaye

2 times on Summit, 1 on Connie, 2 on Reflection, 2 on Silhoutte and now have Solstice booked for Alaska. Never have had anything offered. And my husband likes the casino. One time did win a free cruise at bingo!!!!

How far in advance can you book flights with Celebrity? I wanted to look at prices but kept getting "no flights found" message. I am looking at June 2024. Thanks

Not familiar with YVR but are leaning toward the hotel right at the airport. Is this hotel before or after security? Can we walk around the airport while staying in a day room?

I have been told that Princess does not do a true "inside passage" from Vancouver. Is this true? What is the difference?

To me, it looks like RCCL is becoming like or trying to compete with Carnival. Their new ship coming out in 2 years, looks very geared toward family with kids. Maybe try Celebrity again doing Caribbean on Reflection or Silhouette. We enjoyed these 2 ships and the "vibe" on the cruise.

Happened to me just yesterday. There was no where I could find on their web site where I could cancel a reservation. Had to call my TA friend.

Is there duty free in the airport?

Thanks all for your help. Looks like for 2024, the Millie is out, being replaced by the Summit. But the one way was just getting too expensive and too complicated. I ended up on the Celebrity Solstice RT from Vancouver. Cruise price was $1000 less. Not as many hotels. Flights were cheaper. I am still very excited to see Alaska. Normally I am a Caribbean gal so this will be a real change!!! I am not done planning so you will still be hearing from me!!!

I should have done a courtesy hold this morning when I was looking at Alaska. The cabin I priced at 730a was $600 dollars more when my TA booked it at 930a. Talk about a scam. I think I will price HA to compare.

Do they give you like a 24 hour window for changes?

I am re-looking again. The first one is refundable. The 2nd is non-refundable. Not sure the exact difference. Now looking at round trip Vancouver to save hotel money. Ship is the Soltice and does Dawes Glacier. Any opinions please?

Well I am on the east coast and it's 2am. I got up to secure my reservation for 2024. They changed ships and I didn't notice an itinerary difference (no Skagway, Sitka instead), so I screwed up my first reservation. Now I can't find where to cancel it? Anyone know? I will call later if I can't figure it out. So I also secured the cruise I originally wanted. It was $600 higher but later in June so prices went up. Alaska is crazy expensive!!! But it's on my bucket list before I die!!! (If my husband doesn't kill me for booking this...LOL!!) And neither reservation indicated the OBC offered. But at least I got things started. Now if I could just stop 2nd guessing myself!!
