Maybe you should have capitalized the word CONDITIONAL. None of us know for sure if the new drill will still be approved if there is no official Covid crisis.
Go to this thread, and ask why the e-muster or the old fashioned muster. They are looking for questions for the CEOs of 4 cruise lines including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian.. I have already asked, but if someone else asks the same thing, maybe there is a better chance of the question being answered.
Made DW happy again, and she started to do a meringue. 😊 I hate to tell her I have forgotten all the steps. 😒
And arts & crafts also, as a retired elementary art teacher that too will interest her.
Why are you disregarding passenger safety by not going back to the real muster drill? Have you any proof that the new e-muster is effective? You have taken away all the other Covid changes like requiring up to date vaccinations and Covid testing, why not go back to the tried and true muster drill for safety purposes if you are in effect saying Covid is no longer a worry?
We are married 45+ years and had a very nice Valentines Day dinner at a Mexican restaurant. 😊
The one attraction I found most interesting when we were at Grand Cayman on a cruise was the Turtle Farm.
I thought Hell was a tacky tourist spot. JMHO.
Instead of or maybe in addition to a thank you card, fill in a cruise line card letting the cruise line know why the employee was someone who made your cruise special
That is an interesting take on the situation. Though there are those of us from the US who do enjoy sharing a table on a cruise and meeting others.
For some reason, there seems to be a fear of ending with bad tablemates for an entire cruise, but with the introduction of the flexible type dining options, that should be eliminated as you have different tablemates every night.
On one side we have someone experienced at conducting drills. On the other side, we have someone totally dependent for his income on his advertisers and is dependent on clicks. But of course everything you read on the internet is 100% true. 🤦♂️
Gee, the Points Guy said Carnival said the Coast Guard said. That is not even second hand information; it is third hand.
@Ferry_Watcher, how does that 201 page Carnival manual compare to other lines? Is it twice as long? Four times as long, etc.?
In Seattle, you must have ships from Princess (I know we sailed to Alaska on Princess from Seattle), HAL, Royal Caribbean, NCL, (and possibly others), as well as Carnival. Are the manuals that much different other than Carnival being longer?
Let's see. On one side we have someone who has spent years in a responsible position doing these drills. On the other side we have a "journalist who is dependent on money from the advertisers he is writing about.
I know which one I find more credible.
It is the crew who will be responsible in a real emergency to save you. As has been pointed out, the traditional muster provides much more realistic training for them.
I think even more morainic are the claims that Carnival is spending more on the new e-muster. Maybe they should save that money and instead spend more on staffing and food. 🤣
There was a lot of speculation on these boards when the cruise lines were negatively impacted by Covid that CCL would stop the shareholder OBC or maybe double the number of shares required to qualify for it. Some of us argued that that made no sense as it was a marketing tool with little or no cost to them. What they ended up doing the next time it came up for renewal was to extend it 2 years instead of the usual 1 year renewal.
I think it is very safe to say that it is here to stay.
