  1. That also works for me. It might shade the truth, but it is not an outright lie.
  2. I wonder if there was a real George Costanza. I know there is a real Jerry Seinfeld because I saw his picture (Jerome Seinfeld) in my wife's high school senior year yearbook.
  3. I begrudge no one being a foodie, we just are not. In fact when we were not married that long and hardly knew each other yet and I observed her eating very little, I asked her would she like it if she did not have to eat and just took vitamins or such. And she enthusiastically said yes. I think she does now enjoy some foods more. My most memorable food on a ship was the last dessert on our cruise this past summer in a dining room that featured comfort food. Boy, that hot fudge sundae was great.😊😊😊😊
  4. Your last paragraph mentioning setting a precedent I think is the important stumbling block for anyone being able to haggle. Maybe it would work if there was no social media, but there is. They could not keep it a secret, and the results would be too many demanding the same types of deals.
  5. If there was on Syd's show that would have been transferred to the theater, I wish it would be the Rumours as that was the one with the impossible line on our Prima cruise. All of the shows on our cruise on the Prima were in the Pour House.
  6. 2019 turned out to be a very good time to visit Peru as they were especially hard hit the next year by the dreaded Covid virus. I hope your daughter and son in law got to explore Machu Picchu, what a wonderous place.
  7. They could have asked specifically if it was canned fruit with added sugar, but did not. The thread is about vegan food. Yet somehow the question as asked seemed to imply that a vegan diet allowed for no sugar.
  8. How is not a lie if the other person is not showing up?
  9. Yes, no one claiming the prom has been shown in the theater has definitively said it was the prom as done by the Syd Norman crew. On our Prima cruise, that was the last Syd Norman show and was of course presented in their club.
  10. When we did an escorted land trip to Peru (2019), one day the group went to a huge flea market. We were told we were expected to haggle. We got a lot of good bargains .And I am pretty sure the merchants were also happy at the end of the day,
  11. I remember one airport, I forgot to mention. And airport in Jamaica, possibly Sangster. I should have looked suspicious with long hair and a beard going there and coming back from there. However, I was not a single guy as I was with my wife spending our 20th anniversary (way back last century) at an AI owned by the locals in Ochos Rios.
  12. The only time I was in the Miami airport was a family trip over 60 years ago, As for Madrid, we were actually there once but it was just a layover from Barcelona. And we have never been to or likely will ever be in Las Vegas, just not our style.
  13. Not all of us are caviar and foie gras people. In fact, near the end of our very first cruise my DW said that she missed peanut butter and jelly!
  14. It is almost definitely not covered in the script they read from.
  15. We have never had our luggage receipts checked. We have been in the 3 major NY area airports, Heathrow, the airport in Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Montreal, Fort Lauderdale, Seatle, Rome, Reykjavik, various airports in Peru, and maybe others I can't think of off the top pf my head.
  16. I guess never is not right, but would you agree it is rare?
  17. I don't remember, but I do remember that I called NCL, and asked the same question. I was given the answer and even had it spelled out.
  18. I disagree. We have been on organized land tours where a few dinners, but far from all of them are planned.
  19. Hank Some of us are not foodies. And if you do not eat meat, planning meals out becomes much harder. And I said you do NOT have to find a place to eat each night. For those of you who want to you still can.
  20. All fruit contains NATURAL sugar. does fruit contain sugar - Google Search
  21. I find it interesting that even though you get a baggage claim check when your baggage is tagged, no one at the airport ever checks them against the baggage people are leaving with.
  22. In addition to not having to pack and unpack, you do not have to find a place to eat dinner every night.
  23. I know what you mean. When we sailed the Epic in 2012, we were really looking forward to seeing Slam Allen. We read so many good things about him, plus he is from my hometown and I know one of his musician uncles. When we boarded we found out he was on his 6 months off. There was a meet and greet with the officer in charge of entertainment being one of the participants. I told him we were disappointed and why. (I will admit there was a lot of fine entertainment. I later tried to call that officer (who had left his contact information) to tell him we did enjoy the entertainment, but was unable to reach him. We have seen him since, and I told him about missing him on the cruise. (It was actually a cruise for our 30th anniversary.
  24. You seem to be also very good at alliteration. 😉
  25. LOL, I often say I was part of the "don't trust anyone over 30 generation", and now I have a son in his mid-40s.
