Been keeping watch on your situation, Les. Heavy rain past two days here, too, but nothing like the coast. If you’re still up for Raymonds, we’ll be there, unless the road down the mountain is closed or iffy. If I don’t ring you, we’ll be there. Table is booked under my name😊
Okey doke Linda, but if too dangerous with road conditions, there is always another day. Time for a cab merlot.🍷

I presume you found the storm by now. As I’m sitting in the car at Nobbies Centre on Phillip Island with the car rocking in the wind, I’m thinking still that the Grand Princess isn’t leaving during this
From uk, are you lost? Can we help?

My golf club ..Catalina has gone to the pack, baseball caps allowed front or rear facing. However the good old Rissole , soldiers club bans hats and caps, bit of decorum in the forum.

Did it end up as a full refund? The last I heard was 50% refund plus $300 OBC.
I think it is reasonable recompense.

Cowboys are so old fashioned their hats have imperial measurements.
Size 7 or 58 for this little black duck.

Massive volumes of rain and big winds down here on Far South Coast. 280 mm of rain in Batemans bay in past 24 hrs, horrendous, big seas too.
A normal half hour drive to Moruya to see Oncologist takes half hr. Today an hour, dodging trees down, flooding, new pot holes etc. no doubt some of you out there are copping it too.

On my one and only Carnival cruise there was no shortage of muffin tops.
Men were wearing board shorts, sleeveless t-shirts and thongs.
From our table, at the back-of-the- room-dingey-corner, in the MDR I could not see enough diners to determine if they made it in.

I thought I'd have to wait another 5 years but I turned 65 on the day the Govt announced they'd lowered the age for a freebie. Yay for me!
Was about the best birthday pressie I got actually, Grumpy and I've decided against giving each other gifts a couple of years ago. Save our pennies for the grandies now. Besides. all I really want is a bottle of Jamesons which I can buy myself when I want to and he just wants his Whistler or American Honey so ditto. Or, to add to his ridiculous collection of Hawaiian shirts from Lowes - he has 29 now. When he dies he wants everyone coming to his funeral to come and take a Hawaiian shirt and wear it, I said that's fine but where am I gonna find another 26 people who'll want to go to his funeral!
And you will have to wash 27 shirts.

We can relate to a lot of that. I have some really special shirts, each trying to outdo the previous one on cruises around the Pacific. I did a clean out of clothes last month but didn't think to go through that storage tub. I have a few empty hangers to resurrect a few for upcoming cruises.
I am sure I would have 26 people show at my funeral, if only to make sure it is true.
Nice shirt for you Geoff, other pax would be wary, lol.

Sad news, why are they (cruiselines) not anticipating this and having the hulls cleaned prior to heading over the Tasman.
Perhaps a cheaper rate to clean it off nz.

Biofouling, or covid?
Not able to clean hull off bay of plenty due to bad weather, thus refused entry to nz and turned to Tassie.

I get it now, that is very derogatory,
Yank is bad enough as it passes off half their population to start with.
Indeed still a lot of Confederates down south.

So if theatre is the measure for culture, then Canberra should get the gong. We have the House of Representatives and the Senate competing for the honours of which has the best performances of looking after our nations welfare while entertaining us all by acheiving hardly anything.
Canberra is my no.4 before Brisvegas and Darwin.
