  1. @MarKay525 Sorry, I assumed your first cruise was in Feb.
  2. @MarKay525 Why not renew it now instead of between the Feb and Mar cruises?
  3. I have had unopened milk and yogurt go bad before exp, and others stay good as you are describing. The variation may be due to refrigeration issues not apparent to consumers.
  4. Just an FYI: "Best before" dates are not expiration dates and are not even required. They are used to help stores keep the inventory moving so things don't just get moved back when new shipments arrive. "Expires" dates are mostly seen on things like dairy that are known to spoil within a certain time, and are often required by health codes to ensure potentially dangerous or suspect food can be removed. At least this is what a friend who managed a Public told me.
  5. You seem to have objected to the suite'mention, so, yeah, I too thought you must have found somerhing wrong with it.
  6. Nice post, and good to see you back here again (I might have just missed your poosts because I don’t read all the threads!). The first post by Carole just said the rep quoted the price and then the charge for gratuity showed up on the bill. Her later post included the conversation where she says she specifically asked if tip was included and was told yes. The second version (the one you quoted) definitely shows a problem of the rep being wrong/careless at best, and possibly lying at worst. Her first version presented an omission that may have been entirely innocent because the base price was probably what the rep thought was being asked. Nothing nefarious IMO.
  7. The spelling of "WonderFULL" may be a clue.
  8. Seems like the next step in maximizing revenue would be for X to start making every reservation subject to being outbid by someone else until you have made full payment (i.e., total booking price, nothing to do with Final Payment date). They would get free use of funds for months, even years. Okay, I am kidding...sort of.
  9. I seem to remember a coffee package offered on my Allure of the Seas cruise. Maybe wrong thread?
  10. I think the TA should have informed you of the new policy, and now could figure out a way to make it up to you with OBC or something. Don't they get notices from Celebrity of any changes? If he got one but let you continue thinking you could book NRD and then transfer to group, seems he dropped the ball.
  11. I always look like I am dancing to mystery music even in normal settings, so I could probably just try this without headphones...
  12. Aren't those covered by the 9 day rule?
  13. He can give you any perks he wants. Why is this Celebrity's fault?
  14. Do the Celebrity televisions have headphone jacks that you could plug earpods adapters or headphones into? C'mon, folks, I'm trying to save you here!
  15. Let me help: Are any noise-cancelling headphones or ear buds sold in Celebrity's stores? Edit: Would they help with engine noise or being in that Aqua cabin on Reflection under the bar?
  16. Can't really draw any conclusions from a sample of CC reports, I would guess.
  17. @drakes2 I think they are talking about bottles in carry ons seized by TSA. Liquor has to be in checked luggage when flying. There is an exception for anything purchased at the duty free shops past security in an airport. That can go in carry ons. BUT big problem for anyone whose flight home involves a connection because the exemption only applies to the first airport. You have to either claim your checked luggage at the first airport and put your duty free in there, or you can check a new bag at that airport. Just be careful because the duty-free store's packing job might not be good enough for the type of handling checked bags go through. Had fun packing 3 bottles of very precious Blantons bought in San Diego last year for $139 each (was over $200 here in SC). Wrapped in plastic bags and bubble wrap inside the boxes, then wrapped in clothes inside a medium suitcase that was wrapped in clothes inside a large one donated by our son. One bottle leaked through the cork, so the plastic worked. Still gradually working my way through a taste at a time!
  18. @junki The biggest issue about paying before final is due is to check on payment requirements if you want any type of insurance. Any policies that waive pre-existing conditions for medical claims usually require payment of the full premium within a certain time after your made your very first payment or deposit. If you don't want it, no problem. But if you want coverage by Celebrity's Cruise Care or independent policies, do your homework NOW or you might lose the chance to cover thousands of dollars in medical and evacuation expenses.
  19. Get glasses from attendant. Pour in your room and take it to wherever you eat. No fee!
  20. Your clothes will be in whatever condition you set them up for when you pack them. Keep them rolled (paper towel rollers work well, and can hold belts or scarves, etc). Pack the suitcase tightly to avoid shifting that causes wrinkles. Zippered collapsible nylon packing cubes work wonders. Don't ship everything because it could get lost. Absolute must to keep your carry ons and valuables with you!
  21. I would like to see the result of a survey about how passengers think surveys are used compared to how they actually are used. Another good survey would be about how customers feel about getting surveys from ... EVERY ... blasted ... encounter .... they have with every ... blasted ... business all day long. Then again, the replies would probably consist largely of NSFW words!
  22. Maybe, but I haven't seen any suggestions about throwing away other people's non-Chic clothes or reporting casual dressers to the staff...🙃
  23. Hey, how are you feeling? Our ship is now away without us. I wore my cruise T-shirt today in mourning. (Sorry everyone, we both had to cancel an Oct 6 Equinox.)
  24. Everyone suggesting the dress rules aren't really that important (because Celebrity doesn't enforce them) manages to get really upset when the rules against chair hogging are ignored. Maybe the pool venue is also just governed by personal choice and the rules are just requests.
