  1. You're not the first to ask - This video may have the first peek 1:25 into the video -
  2. Not until your next cruise. I asked - I made Gold on my cruise last year, they wouldn't give me the pin (I asked when I was getting my Silver pin). I should have asked for my Platinum pin when I went for my Gold one since I made that on my cruise this year. There have been SOME reports of people getting a cabin that was made available by someone else upgrading, but when they got there the benefits information from the guest that had originally booked the cabin had been staged, as though that person was still going to be in the room. I wonder if that's what happened. It's a lot more likely that a mistake like that could happen recently when you consider how many cabins each steward has to turn over.
  3. Technically, the answer is that they DO serve lobster in the MDR and it's every night. However, as noted, you pay for it. It's part of the Cagney's supplement to the menu, some of the Cagney's meals are available for a fee.
  4. I must have had the new bag. I wear XL and XXL clothes and fit 9 day's worth in the bag.
  5. I'm not sure I've seen you in this forum section too often... Rudeness? For pointing out that reading an entire thread before replying might be a good idea? For someone that purports to spend time around here (or ANY internet forum), one would think that would be common sense
  6. no, it's 6 as explained earlier in the thread, but if you had read the entire thread before replying and duplicating (sometimes incorrect) info you would know that...
  7. I fly Southwest when I fly domestic, so do I. But it's also a challenge wrangling multiple bags.
  8. They've changed it since I got mine, then (in 2017, and it was my SECOND Enhanced). Mine doesn't have that stylized graphic, it's a box that reads 'ENHANCED' within. The other, quick, way to tell is that is has the American flag on it rather than nothing or a star - https://dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/which-id-right-me Here's my take on the entire question - this cruise is to US ports, except for the requisite stop in Victoria. If she actually had an EDL then the BC would have been superfluous and the stress over getting the copy was unwarranted. But @Ferry_Watcher can correct me on that.
  9. The link in the post you quoted has a chart that shows exactly that. Here, I'll screenshot it and post it in the thread since that seems to be an issue -
  10. It's supposed to be. On my 15-day about half of the people I talked to had to ASK. I had to, I didn't get mine until day 8, and I had asked my cabin steward about it that day.
  11. Until my last cruise I packed the same way. My choices were two airline check-in sized suitcases for one person or have laundry done. I chose to have laundry done. Now I know how it works (and can get it free) I plan to pack lighter and just have laundry done while also taking longer trips.
  12. I see it. Next NCL cruise from that port is the Sky in September.
  13. For what it's worth - a CruiseNext Haven deposit CAN be used for a regular cabin. It's one of the footnotes here - https://www.ncl.com/cruisenext Funny enough, that page also answers the OP's question...
  14. @IAcruising on my Panama Canal transit in Jan/Feb there were, I think, 9 people that missed the ship in Miami and 6 were for sure confirmed to be joining in Colombia. I know because I knew one of them! He booked his own flights, I don't know what the financials were.
  15. On my last cruise I had my bag prepared the night before and called my steward in the morning to let him know it was ready, he picked it up while I was having breakfast. My laundry came back at 6 PM 2 days later (they really took it to the wire for the promised delivery time).
  16. My last cruise on that ship had about 1,000 fewer than yours, but very likely considerably MORE mobility-challenged people. I didn't find the elevators to be an issue. As is the case with every ship in that class, and ships from other cruise lines. How many ships do you see these days with 3 sets of elevators? I looked, even the Oasis and Icon class ships have only 2 banks of elevators and Icon has only FOUR MORE elevators total than the Bliss.
  17. I once had to fly to Chicago from Pittsburgh in order to get to Albany, NY. Yup, an hour West just to go an hour East from where I started...
  18. Are you sure that wasn't San Pedro? Does NCL even do cruises from San Diego? OK, they do but not many. You flew to LA for a cruise from SD?
  19. My experience, twice, differs from this explanation. As pictured by @BirdTravels there's a glass wall separating the debarking passengers from the post check-in waiting area. Twice now I've been allowed inside the terminal while the previous cruise was still parading off the ship.
  20. When I sailed from Miami in January there was no check of my check-in time compared to when I arrived, though I had the first check-in time anyway...
  21. I saw someone post on one of the other sites that they had a delayed flight to Miami. I'll have to go see if they ever came back to report if they made it. The news was saying there was a ground-stop at MIA, nothing can be done in that case, especially if your flight schedule was so tight that flying to FLL will make you too late for the ship. This is why, when I booked my flights for this past January, I made sure that I wasn't even on the last flight from BWI to FLL - there were 5 more that same day and it was the day before the cruise...
  22. @Normajean999 I checked the first week of dailies from my last cruise and don't see any specialty dining restaurants open for lunch - sea day or not.
  23. If only someone had posted some info so you didn't have to guess.. Oh, right, someone did, an hour before your post..
