I'm in Dublin several times a year for work and just use Uber. What we call UberX doesn't exist in Ireland (the app will just call you a standard taxi) but they do have UberBlack which will get you a black car liveried service. A lot easier than finding a car service.

Book a snorkel tour with Captain Steve's Rafting and use the credit elsewhere-- over the years he's become our favorite operator for both whale watching and snorkel tours. The snorkel tours they do are off of the island of Lanai so you get to cover an additional island you wouldn't normally go to on a cruise. If it's during whale season they will also take you whale watching to and from Lanai. They depart from the Mala boat ramp which is on the north side of town.

It's doable. BWI is small and is only about 15-20 minutes from the cruise port.

Also worth mentioning that all major (and a bunch of not so major) car rental companies have locations in downtown Honolulu and Waikiki that are a bit closer to you than the airport. If you are renting the car and headed somewhere else (like the North Shore etc) then going to the airport isn't a huge deal. If you are renting a car at the airport and then headed to Waikiki anyway you can save yourself some time.

I learned this a couple months ago with a colleague who is wheelchair dependent. Yes-- there are a certain number of wheelchair accessible NYC taxis. You can call a dispatch center to call them to you by dialing 311. Additionally both Uber and Lyft offer wheelchair accessible rides through their apps and we found these to be much quicker than calling for a taxi. If you want to be able to walk to a bunch of major sights and not be dependent on transportation during your stay I would suggest looking in Midtown Manhattan for a hotel. Personally I would tell you to avoid Times Square but different folks have different tolerances for it than I do.

Agree with this. Also has a great rooftop pool and restaurant/bar overlooking the Acropolis.

Its about 15-20 minutes-- isn't really unsafe so much as it is an unremarkable walk. Mostly surrounded by large government buildings.

"Best", without knowing your specific budget, I would say would be the Wentworth Mansion, Planters Inn (only if you plan on eating at their Peninsula restaurant), or Charleston Place. Wentworth would be my personal favorite of the three-- great atmosphere and attention to detail.

There are a bunch of options on Front Street that fit that description. My personal favorite, that overlooks the harbor in Hamilton, is 1609 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel. Located up above the hotel's yacht basin and great, uninterrupted views over the water.

The biggest issue you have is that the most picturesque parts of the Amalfi Coast comprise of roads that are barely 2 lanes across and traffic is both unpredictable and any sort of hiccup like a small accident can be devastating to your schedule. I've sat for 2 hours while 3 people in a fender bender had it out at each other. I'm saying this under the context that I really personally don't like any sort of organized tour, let alone one organized by a cruise ship, but in this case I would not be able to enjoy my day without knowing that I was at least guaranteed to get back to the ship. It's less about making sure they are responsible to get you back in time (no one really has control here), but that the cruise line organized tours will have the ship wait if something went sideways, whereas a private tour would not be afforded that.

This. You can cover most of the main parts of the old city (that you could reasonably expect to cover in a 9-5 port stop) just by walking. Even the heavy uphill stuff can be accomplished by the Funicular up to the Terrace. The Citadel maybe would be the most arduous distance wise but only to someone who has difficulty walking-- from the Chateau Frontenac it is only about a 15-20 min walk. Unless you want to do a really deep dive on the Plains of Abraham there really isn't a huge reason to hop on a bus.

It's an incredibly subjective question-- everyone will have a different answer on this one. Personally I don't like sticking a snorkel mouthpiece in my mouth that countless others have as well but have no issue using the rest of the equipment like goggles and flippers. You don't have to rent everything but the bulky things to pack, like flippers, can be rented most places. Keep in mind that not all beaches will have rental facilities through.

Personally I would take 90 to 84 and then onto the Merritt Parkway (15) which will turn into the Hutchinson Parkway in NY. Then the Cross County Pkwy onto the Saw Mill and 9A South. From there it's a straight shot until you hit the Pier. I would use a GPS app though while you're driving. Accidents and unpredictable traffic will be taken into account and they might reroute you onto a faster route in real time. Sticking to a specific routing when you have the technology advantages we have can really slow you down sometimes.

The OP is not embarking or disembarking in Bayonne-- it is a port stop that was advertised as being New York City.

Taxis are regulated, safe, and easy. The major advantage from JFK is that NYC taxis have a flat rate into Manhattan ($70+fees). Uber/Lyft typically will be slightly nicer vehicles overall but you won't have the flat rate and it could be more if you hit substantial traffic.

Even in the heyday of ocean travel the German liners (Hapag, NDL, etc) always docked in Hoboken. There never was enough room, even in the good ol days.

Yep-- the Design Center will work. For the destination you can plug in the Four Seasons Hotel and it will drop you right in front of the Public Garden and just across Charles Street to Boston Common.

You should look for the best priced, least complicated flight option into New York. Sure, LGA is closer to Manhattan than EWR and JFK, but if you can find a direct flight into EWR or JFK vs a connection to fly into LGA it will simplify your day. I wouldn't worry too much about the airport in this case-- look for the best flights. Taxis and Ubers are easy to get from all three to get into Manhattan.

Its an ATR-72-- a fairly large turboprop which is larger than most regional jets you would fly in the US. Very comfortable and pretty standard short haul plane in Europe. You can always pay more for extra luggage. The direct flight would be my first choice to make a long day shorter. But if that's not an option for you then I would most likely do the same thing with the car service and then Eurostar.

Plane will most likely be the easiest here-- there is at least one direct flight a day from Southampton Airport to Paris Orly as well as a bunch more that connect through either Amsterdam or Dublin. You could take the train but you would have to take the normal train up to London Waterloo and then transfer to St Pancras Station to the Eurostar. You'll then change trains in Lille for the SNCF direct to Disneyland Paris. To be honest you're looking at about 6 hours of travel time no matter what you do so it really comes down to minimizing hassle. If you can make the direct flight that's most likely the best option. Once you factor in having to change planes though it's a bit of a craps shoot between that or the train.

Short answer is no-- not direct. Uber will be the fastest option to get you to Boston Common and Public Gardens. The only other option would be the Silver Line to South Station and then you are about a 12-15 minute walk through one of Boston's less atmospheric neighborhoods (assuming you don't want to transfer to another line). I would just take the Uber-- its going to be like $15 and take about 15 minutes.

I'm with Scott on this one. The best cruise to Hawaii is no cruise at all. Do a land based vacation, even for the same amount of days, and see SO much more.

It's an absolutely lovely time to visit Bermuda-- one of our favorites in fact. Temps aren't as high as they are in the summer and the humidity is in check. But just not for a beach/swimming sort of vacation time there.

My biggest issue with NCL (aside from the ghastly decor on Pride of America) is the fact that in Maui they dock at Kahului instead of tender at Lahaina. My criteria for that stop would be a ship that tenders on the side of the island I want to do things on vs docking in the industrial port away from most attractions.
