  1. Just got Enchantment from June 2. Old writing in cursive unlike the new Wonder block from the other day.
  2. No grats. Just taxes. Ended up at $137.48. I'm B2B and had it booked for the 4 day after, but this price is even lower than that of the 4 day cruise so I changed dates/sailings for it.
  3. If you're on Oct 21, I'm in with you. Price just dropped a few $ to $124.99pp. I have it booked just to do it. This will be my 7th time to Coco this year and need a change of scenery. 😃 I'm definitely down to check it out and avoid the weekend party crowd at the Oasis Lagoon.
  4. Whatever they do, PLEASE DO NOT install a TV over Central Park again!
  5. If only they would sail it to Turkey, beach it, and chop it into pieces...
  6. No clue what they're waiting for. Bring it back!
  7. Love and Marriage at 2PM on a sea day. Dumbest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
  8. Voyager class got a terrible chop-job moving the gym aft. The ceilings aren't high enough to support some equipment and they didn't do a very good job raising them at all. They did go a good job adding staterooms to the front with views and balconies so they could maximize profit though... Bamboo Room wasn't added to Freedom because it wasn't "popular enough" is what I heard from an Officer who participates in dry docks. I love Bamboo Room though! I'm all for water slides if they fit appropriately and piping is moved out of the way. Another downfall of Navigator. Add Playmakers to the rest of the Quantum class! Keep the Southern Kitchen on Wonder and/or get rid of it completely. Unhealthy crap. America is bad enough as it is. I hear the bar selection is good though so keep what works. I'm not a fan of the Jamie's menu. Bring back the Gios menu and MEATBALL! (I know I just complained about unhealthy offerings) Explorer is going to drydock in February (I think?) so we will see what they have planned. She needed a facelift in 2019 so it's LONG overdue. Adventure is next up after that in terms of needing help. Then Liberty. Keep Peekaboo bridge!
  9. I'm so glad they left it there on 14 on Freedom. It's downstairs in the old cigar lounge/library on some other ships (Voyager, Navigator). LOVING this review. Keep it coming! I'm on in October!
  10. They freeze you for 24 hours so you can't CHARGE another $1000 on your account. You are free to cash out the $800 ticket at any time.
  11. Fee only applies at the tables. You can cash out your OBC on the slots without any charge.
  12. Umit Erdogan was the HD back at the end of June. He was awesome! Super friendly. You'll see him at the Cafe getting espressos 3-4x a day!
  13. Oops! I saw that 2 or 3 times too! Also very good!
  14. $2 in singles per drink in both DL and Casino. I roll up on a 7 night cruise with $200 in singles from the bank!
  15. I was on this sailing also. Nothing was an absolute standout except Mamma Mia and the Ice Cast. Both were fantastic. I saw all 3 Mamma Mias and 3 Ice shows. I sailed on Enchantment in June. That thing needs to be beached in Turkey and scrapped. I've been on 8 ships this year and Enchantment is the worst...BY FAR. I have a friend onboard the sailing leaving today. He says it hasn't gotten any better.
  16. Ron Holmes was back as Captain on Allure for our trip starting July 9. I'm looking for Dustin Castelsky from Canada lately too. He was our Jewel Captain back in 2018 for the crossing. I heard in June he was out on medical but was looking to come back "soon".
  17. Ugh, I completely disagree. I had Michele on Wonder in May, and he completely ruined the into to Tap Factory because he wanted to talk, AGAIN. He talks and talks and loves to hear the sound of his voice. I do agree that he's good for the Med regarding language, but he's got to learn when and when not to speak.
  18. Just off Allure on Sunday. It was spotty here and there, but S+S ended up with 400kbps at the fastest times.
  19. Enchantment June 2 was Erik from Mexico (I've seen him before maybe as AM but unsure what ship.) He disappeared in Day 2 last week with the Rona and was replaced by Kenton who was a Royal Singer. I was told that's what happened to Bobby on his last week also. Maybe Erik was Bobby's AM and also got it and they had no #3?
  20. To specifically address your question, smaller ships in Alaska tend to be a good thing. You can get into Sounds and ports the big ships can't. Enchantment has a lot of open space on the top deck for sightseeing also. Food typically depends on the chefs onboard, but I've never had any glaring issues like others will tell you about here.
  21. I just got off Enchantment this morning from a 9 night to Bermuda, Nassau, and Coco. Also, sorry to burst any bubbles in advance. I was NOT very happy with this ship, and it was my 8th this year. The maintenance and upkeep of the ship is unfortunately, very poor. Rust and tug rub marks on the side (and no one painting it at ANY port), rust on the beautiful arches at the pool deck and outer trim areas, Deck 5 Forward Sliding Doors completely broken the entire trip, Sliding Door by the Concierge/Diamond Club broken (and leaking water into the floor underneath the wood), Deck 6 had a ceiling leak with buckets under it, Ship temperature seemed uncontrollable (some days super hot, some days super cold), Multiple broken machines at the gym, Pool TV off/broken the entire trip, Archaic hand dryers in some bathrooms (not all have been replaced by the high powered ones), No padded seating in the Solarium like other ships, 0 varnish on any railings (down to the bare wood), the beautiful Oasis Bar at the pool was never opened and sat there empty. In addition to the maintenance issues, the Cruise Director got the Rona on Day 2, disappeared, and never returned. They had a Royal Caribbean Singer from the show taking his place the entire week. He did a good job, but it was definitely a learning experience. I'm not sure why he did it instead of an Activities Manager (who we never saw...maybe Rona also?) or any of the other cruise staff out and about doing trivias, etc. He definitely did his best though! Note that there will only be 1 Production show, Can't Stop the Rock. The cast has been onboard since December and never bothered to learn the 2nd show. They said the second show will return when the next cast comes onboard (they'll learn it in Miami, hopefully). With that said, entertainment was THIN this week. 1 production show, no singer/dancer showcase except at Welcome Aboard and Farewell, LOTS of trivias and karaoke, one night had just movies in the theatre, Love and Marriage at 1pm (awful time as others have said). I booked this trip since I hadn't been on Enchantment in years and wanted to try her out. I did it and am happy I did, but she needs a little TLC on the maintenance/appearance side of things. I looked at my pictures from Rhapsody and Vision, and they weren't like this. Personally I'm not a fan of Baltimore either so next time I'll pick a cruise from NJ or FL. Now that is out of the way, let's end on a high note. The Pianist, Oryna, is FANTASTIC. Also the band Rockport can sing just about anything you throw at them in the Centrum. Food? I had no issues, but I'm not picky. I went to the Dining Room on nights I like the menu and Windjammer other days. Lots of the same selection with different sauces throughout the week, but a few surprises in there also. Enchantment has the "faster" wifi also so Surf+Stream worked fine. Many people I talked to had 0-5 cruises under their belt and were having a fabulous time so I'm sure you will also if she is right for you!
