  1. Got this idea from a relative. Use your phone to take pictures of passport, both sides of credit cards you are taking, the lane marker in the park/ride lot (learned this one the hard way, lost the little slip), your cabin door. Delete after vacation.
  2. Go for the OV. When the cruise gets closer, bid on a balcony or check to see how much an upgrade would be. Worked for us, less $$$ than originally booking a balcony.
  3. Surprisingly, an accessible balcony room was much more than a club balcony.on our upcoming cruise.
  4. One caution. We did Jewel northbound so came home via Vancouver. Security different than US. CPAP machine had to be dismantled. Long walks to gates.
  5. Please think twice about insurance. My cousin had a heart attack during our cruise this year. Expenses totaled 30,000+. Insurance covered just about all.
  6. You probably got the credit because you won’t be able to use the transfer service since you’re flying in early.
  7. Oh my, I LOLd at your poor husband too. On a cruise, I was getting out of shower, thought I heard hubby outside door calling me, then proceeded to flash room Stewart delivering strawberries. Whoops!
  8. Well, the older we get, the less we feel like shlepping around tons of luggage! I would agree that one or two pairs of dress slacks with silky glitzy tops with a nice sweater is perfect. I would leave the dresses (and pantyhose) at home. Also, I take one hoody, one jacket, one raincoat for outside. Gloves and hat come too. Yes, you can have laundry done but I only send sturdy clothes. They use hot dryers that can be tough on tops and bras. Hand washing might be better. Mary PS: consider packing cubes and compression bags.
  9. Just double check what your credit card insurance covers, evacuation? Medical? Our travel partners incurred $30,000 for an onboard heart attack last January. The NCL insurance went a long way in recouping their “it must be paid before you leave expenses.”
  10. Distilled water ordered/received every time. Extension cord? Only once - I would bring one.
  11. Reporting back. Midnight last night was the 125 day mark for us, because we are in a club balcony. Suddenly at 12:01, I was able to make dinner reservations on the days and times we wanted. Thanks for the advice! Mary
  12. Thanks. Plan to book at 12:01. Now to decide which restaurants, we have 4 to choose. Not big seafood eaters but we do love halibut so that means Ocean Blue. Does anyone know if Onda is on the Bliss? We loved it on the Encore. Which restaurants are others planning? Mary
  13. Thanks for the updates. I will try to make them at 125 and see what happens.
  14. Jeez, I am SO math challenged. I meant to say 120 days out, not 130. I was trying to say I wanted to book earlier which would be MORE days out. At any rate, I want to do it at 125 so might have to call. FYI, I am a disaster at both halving or doubling a recipe. Embarrassed 🙈 Mary
  15. So, it says on NCL that you can make dinner reservations 130 days out. But we are gold level and have booked a club suite on Bliss to Alaska, September 17-24. We should be able to book at 125 days out. When I go to our reservation on My NCL, it says May 21 which would be 130 days. Do I have to call to get the earlier reservations? There are only two of us.
