  1. The redemption instructions say to get your bottle from a bar.
  2. I just got off the Magic Sunday. It was an 8 day cruise. If someone hasn't cruise on Carnival recently (since the startup?) I think they will say there are cutbacks (once daily room cleaning/ no steak and lobster on elegant night) but I found my cruise very enjoyable. This was my second time on Magic, the first one was in May 2022. I asked my steward for a bucket of ice on the 2nd day because I was bringing a bottle of white zinfandel back to by cabin and he put fresh ice in my bucket daily after that. I also got towel animals every day. I ate most meals in the MDR and the service was great most nights. One lady near me made a note that she didn't like mushrooms and the server made several attempts to find her a dinner entre that didn't have mushrooms. It wasn't until the end of the cruise that my glass of water wasn't being refilled after just one sip. lol But there were many apologies when noticed. I even had my coffee cup refilled when sitting on the deck right outside the buffet. I was annoyed by the number of people that came into the buffet in swimsuits and no shoes. I only saw one person told they needed to cover up and the staff person did get them a pool towel so they didn't have to get out of line. I do wish that had been addressed more often. I saw the stair rails being cleaned seemingly nonstop. I made note how often I saw the toilet paper folded in a triangle when I used the public ones as a gauge of how recently it had been serviced. A lot. I ordered room service one morning, around 7. They told me a 15-30 minute wait, and it was there in less than 10. That might have annoyed some people that were counting on those 15 minutes. Luckily I am a quick showerer, so the timing was perfect. Overall, it was a great cruise.
  3. When I purchased my wine package online, the specific wines were listed. It wasn't an easy-to-read format though. But they are also listed on the card you receive on board if you want to wait and purchase then.
  4. You can still get made to order omelettes at the omelette station. I got an egg white with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. I didn’t try in the MDR.
  5. I had morning room service yesterday.
  6. I thought they only substituted airports within 50 miles of each other. Philly and NYC are a bit more than 50 miles apart.
  7. you can call and get it just for her.
  8. With Fly2Fun, you pick the flights you want. You know the times and the price. So unless it's a problem on the airline's side, there aren't any unknowns. I had a flight cancellation at the last minute, called the emergency traveler number given for Fly2fun and they rebooked me on another flight with no added fees even though the flight was considerably more expensive than what I paid.
  9. OP, did you get your flight details yet?
  10. Try another browser. It doesn’t work when I use safari.
  11. When you go to "manage my booking" it's available as a drop down item.
  12. Why don't you use the website? Is that down also?
  13. I admit this made me sad to learn this also included the omelets stations at the buffet. That was my go-to breakfast. I would get an omelet with all the veggies, bacon, and extra cheese with a side of country potatoes every day. I'm really stumped at what I will eat now. I don't really care for runny yolks which is why I haven't given eggs benedict a try. But maybe.
  14. Does anyone have any feedback on Jake Miller? He will be the CD on my Magic Cruise next month. I think. This is the week he starts and overlaps with the leaving CD, Michael D’Aria. I don't know how that works, if they will share duties for that week?
  15. Did you have to use their hotel to get a pre and post deviation?
  16. Most of my flights have been domestic on AA or delta and I have always been able to select my seats and upgrade if I chose to. I had to pay for any checked bags. My international flights were to Panama and 1 free checked bag was included by the airline (Delta) and DR (Delta) where I have to pay for checked bags. I don't have status on any airline.
  17. Whenever I get NCL flights, I inquire about the hotel they use and it's always been MUCH more expensive than what I can find on my own. Well this time, I got a great deal for my 2-night stay in Vancouver at the Hilton Vancouver Downtown, $780 USD total. If I booked this myself, it would be around $1200. I still looked around online and couldn't find anything significantly cheaper that was comparable in quality. Even the YWCA was just slightly cheaper at $703 once the taxes and fees were added. None of my friends can understand my excitement, so I thought I would share here 🙂
  18. I've done B2B on Carnival but never NCL. I am booked for my 1st one on the Escape out of NYC in 2025. I can't believe how excited I am about this one. I have waited so long to sail on Escape and for it to be in NYC where I don't have to fly to, I definitely signed up for that B2B when I saw I could do it with no repeats. Bahamas and Bermuda.
  19. I think it depends on if you also book your hotel through NCL or not.
  20. Just no show then cancel any prepaid items (excursions, dinners, etc). once onboard before any cancellation deadlines.
  21. I tend to not see much past the bottom of my cup during sailaway. LOL
  22. Like I said, it depends on what a person needs the access for. If just checking email a couple times during the cruise, then this might be better than paying for a daily rate a couple of times.
  23. Check out Verizon's web page for international travel. They have a $20 cruise ship plan for 50MB of data. Between that, the free wifi available in ports and the $10 travel pass, you might come out cheaper depending on your anticipated usage. At least it does for my upcoming cruise. But it's just me. If people are sharing, it will likely be cheaper to get an internet plan from Carnival.
  24. I think I'll sign up for my Magic cruise next month for $119. I'll be sure to report back. The description is a bit different from the past, which I have done before. Treat your taste buds to the experience of a lifetime, culminating in a sumptuous multicourse dinner hosted by the Master Executive Chef. Your VIP experience starts with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for a select group of 14 guests. The evening concludes with a mind-blowing full-service dinner of amazing appetizers, entrees and desserts not found on our regular dining menus. Confirmation e-mails will be sent 24 hours prior to cruise departure.
  25. Glad I double booked and had a different itinerary booked for March that I was planning to cancel to go on an April cruise out of Doha
