I would be interested in the statistics on self vs regular debark. I have some friends in Carnival mgt and will see of I can get data. If there is a disparity balance wise, it could offer them an opportunity to adjust, fine tune the process. We usually are the first off, so it may have been this way for a while and we did not know.

How big a buffet do they need? The real shame is that Carnival was forced to shut down for 19 months in a draconian move that put them 28 billion in the hole. That is billion with B. The cutbacks, or economies you describe are the result. The ENTIRE industry is trying to recover from this mess. People vote with their wallets, if some are unhappy, spend somewhere else, that said, bookings have never been better. People continue and want to experience the FUN, we are part of that group. If you want we can discuss this “better” dining experience you describe, but were so vague on. Start a thread, will be happy to discuss further.

Thanks for the review. All opinions count and are valid. If you did not enjoy the Celebration to the extent you mention then you should look elsewhere. For us the Celebration was a fantastic time. Been on her and her sister 3 times and 3 more scheduled. We have never thought of cruising as “all-inclusive” and frankly think the food on ships (specifically Carnival) is better than almost every single AI we have ever been to, but that is us. I hope you find a better fit for your next trip.

Not from ours, but def heard it from our neighbors. We had similar cabins on the other side (and a couple on your side. Sure it was the windy conditions. The cabin next to us, made a couple of calls and they sent someone down to look at door, but to no avail. To be honest, it did not bother us,

Enjoy your cruise. There was a time that the area was open in the evenings to all, but that was stopped. You have to be 12 or older to stay in a Havana cabin and use the area. We have stayed in Havana cabins on 8 cruises and never saw anyone younger than 30’s.

I would never bring covid into a cruise discussion. I thought the point was clear, but I can clarify. The poster was questioning (I believe) why there was not strong suggestions for more cleaning stations (doubt that implies covid…but do not want to go into the weeds) on a particular Carnival ship. Also implied that Royal (with the washy washy) does it better. My post (and history supports this, hence the link to CDC data) is that with their extra effort, Royal has a significantly larger history of Noro. The site did not say that the hand sanitizer does not work, I questioned it. We can discuss the performance of the CDC (horrible) but that would be a different topic. That is the long version, the short is “washy washy fails.
