  1. We are cruising on the Celebration in August with a pretty large group that includes one of our daughters and her family. Her husband LOVES Blanton’s and will spend a good amount of time in P&A for that reason.
  2. I would add another couple comments to support this post. Dress code wise, (and we have done a few including ones across the pond, north and south) we have seen no difference at all in dress code (slight caveat for Greenland cruise, but that was tied to where we were going). We have done 4 longer cruises and found they vary the menu significantly, with the additions of new things and some variations. Not so much cuisine tied to the locale but more from my viewpoint of just trying to mix it up. If you are considering going east…..go for it
  3. Also, only in some locations (as example Red Frog)
  4. Not sure I understand the specifics tied to your question. We used a private service (trying to find the name) that was really flexible with us as a small group (5, and I am sure they would do any size) that we had with someone who was mobility challenged. If interesed, I can try and dig further.
  5. I asked several friends I have in the company for the reason ( we enjoyed cruising from there as a homeport as well). Not sure there is one answer but several factors. Multiple homeport (San Juan and Barbados for European travelers), capacity concerns, and more. Their decision to use older ships (port intensive itins made the ship less important added to it as well. would love to see them go to a staggered seasonal schedule with a varied itinerary; With its location, it could open the doorway to new (to Carnival) and different places. Hope springs eternal.
  6. Verizon used to be very superior (imho) and we still have them, but agree with your assessment of their coverage plan. Seems when they to 5g they gave up on coverage, esp locally. Your analogy rings true.
  7. There have been times that I thought I lost some time on cruises…..🫠
  8. Ken is simply the best. I am sure if you asked him when he will be on the ship on his FB site, he will reply.
  9. On our most recent cruise on the MG, it ws the dining hit for the group
  10. And it will not change from that, despite claims to the contrary
  11. Loving the review and your rating system. LOVE the cranberry rolls.
  12. We have sailed her 9 times from Port Canaveral, Tampa, Baltimore, Long Beach, Rome, and London. Older ship, but we love her. Not as many dining options as many other ships but think you will enjoy it
  13. Thanks, I have been there and been on Celebration. I had not heard (or expereinced) about the boarding cards.
  14. usually only one way out (same as you use to get on). They tend to get backed up quickly. There has to be a better way
  15. wow that went quick. Thanks for sharing and letting us come along for the ride.
  16. agreed. That cruise we had an older waiter, he was really struggling... seemed a little better by end of cruise.
  17. There are other cabins on newer ships that sleep 5 (and have another 1/2 bath) without being part of FH.
  18. Just to clarify, there are no cabins on Carnival above 5. Suites have different capacity tied to the individual cabin.
