  1. I believe it only applies to inside, OV and balcony.
  2. They add excursions anytime they get a contract signed. It can be years before or at the last minute. Only consistent timing is that in their infinite wisdom they've decided to not post post-cruise port to airport excursions until day 50. For their convenience, to correspond with when they've theoretically made flight arrangements.
  3. Do you have personal experience with this? I've seen lots of speculation but no reports of someone actually losing their excursion because of a waitlist. It's been a long time since I was on a waitlist but when I was, it was always a written sign-up sheet, all additions were done manually. Plus I do know that they can change how an excursion is priced, it you have to request your latitudes discount after the fact.
  4. Someone misunderstood. They give a refundable credit for a prepaid excursion. It is applied to your account, you get cash back from guest services if you have a positive balance at the end of your cruise. They cannot refund to your credit card due to banking rules. Any consideration for a missed port will be nonrefundable OBC, I believe port fees/taxes are given as a refundable credit.
  5. Yes, I did mean drivel, don't know how it got to dribble. But either works. As far as I know, I'm the only one who even made that specific wish, so of course I would be the only one who used allergies as an EXAMPLE of why I think NCL should consider other options - because it is true that strawberries are a common allergy. My wish, my examples.
  6. I can verify that they will award a bid if they want your cabin to resell. Happened to me on a cruise from Tahiti (which unfortunately never happened due to covid). I had a family OV as a solo, bid minimum on a balcony. Family OVs sold out, I got my upgrade a full 3 months before the cruise, as did a few others according to the roll call.
  7. Sure I'll take ownership of what I WISHED for. You got all of that dribble from a simple wish that they would let people CHOOSE what they wanted instead of wasting strawberries. I'm not the only one that doesn't want them allergies or not. I am perfectly capable of throwing away something I'm not going to eat - a very simple ACTION that I can take. I did suggest that in order to give people something they wanted it could be added to their reservation - but that they didn't always honor requests that are on the reservation, said nothing about their ability to handle allergies when people wish to take advantage of that service - although people do complain about missteps there as well. Go bother someone else, as that seems to be you MO on CC.
  8. Post #43 explains the situation quite well. I do not need special meals, just respect my wish to not bring me strawberries because they will be wasted. Note, the strawberries weren't from a butler Lol, just someone reading a request to deliver the latitude tray, not reading the part about substituting something else.
  9. This has subject has been beaten to death on CC. Nobody knows but pretty sure highest bid isn't the only criteria. Most likely it's what makes NCL the most money. So a low bid from someone in a highly desirable cabin they can resell makes NCL more money than a high bid from someone in a cabin they can't sell.
  10. LOL. It's a fee that people who get their cruise comped by casino play have to pay. Not applicable to those of us who pay for our cruise.
  11. Along with the current schedule for entertainment.
  12. Terms of the latitudes discount explicitly state that it does not apply to FAS upgrades.
  13. Yes, you get it 100%. It can be quite complicated.
  14. Gosh, thanks for your input. I've done quite well all by myself on all of my cruises - not a single allergic reaction because I am fully aware of my tolerance levels and what I can eat, what I can't. I said NOTHING about noting allergies on my reservation and expecting someone to follow through at meals, only that IF it had been mentioned to not give me strawberries as a latitudes perk, for whatever reason, it might not be read. Move on.
  15. Nope. Latitudes discount is for new purchases. But if you upgrade in the first couple of days they will credit your FAS minutes and pro-rate for the remaining days.
  16. As to bing bong announcements - I'd at least like the option to hear them in my cabin. Last cruise on the Star they didn't even come over the TV so it's jump up and run to the hallway to hear anything - and the announcement is half over by then. I was told that the option to choose to have announcements come into your cabin was part of the plan on the newer ships, not sure if they'll retrofit older ships. Contrary to popular belief, they often DO make announcements regarding changes (and sometimes even why!!) but if nobody can hear them, they aren't overly helpful.
  17. The allergy thing was way too much for me, I wasn't a fan of getting interrogated at every meal. And I'm perfectly capable of knowing what not to eat. So no, I did not fill out the medical questionnaire. But your PCC can add comments to your reservation, whether or not those get read is debatable. I ended up with 3 trays of strawberries on 1 trip - the CN manager asked them to send me something else (gave her the strawberries LOL). Guess what they sent. More strawberries. Took them back to the desk, got back to my room and there was another tray. Finally got some brownies. Note - I don't really care whether or not they offered something else - I just don't like wasting them and I know I'm not the only one that won't eat them.
  18. Bids typically available day 110. I have a solo balcony in October and just got a reminder that I could still bid.
  19. Expand that to include the "welcome aboard" strawberries. Some of us have allergies LOL. A simple door hanger like what they use for breakfast room service - or add a place to add requests to your reservation without having to have your PCC add it (and they don't always read anyway)
  20. I'd like to see updates to the latitudes program - maybe something in-between Diamond and Ambassador. Or how about including Diamond along with suites with respect to priority/escorted tendering for example. Stop charging fees for port-to-city center busses in industrial ports where it's not really feasible to walk - and include the bus back to the ship if you have a NCL excursion but want to spend time in town before returning to the ship. Extra points to NCL if port transfers were a latitudes perk! Allow a "city-center" meeting point for later excursions.
  21. A process that is no different if you have linked cabins or you don't have linked cabins. Linking cabins does not give you access to other reservations.
  22. ??? What did I miss?? You just said that you have to call on each reservation unless you know everyone's login and password.
  23. Just to add, as far as I know, there is absolutely no advantage to linking reservations.
  24. I don't think you can see linked reservations. For dining, you don't need to do anything except book a table for the number of people. To book excursions, I just called the excursion desk and they were able to book everyone as long as I had reservation #s and gave them credit card #s. They were more than happy to accept money LOL.
  25. I misunderstood - thought you were referring to ports canceled during your cruise, not ones canceled prior to leaving.
