  1. The articles that I was reading was where vapers went to hotels that had vape detectors installed, signed paperwork that they understood they were installed and agreed to not vape. They did vape and did not get fined for vaping. Others in this thread have stated that they know of someone who vaped in their cabin on a Celebrity cruise.
  2. They do. It is called the classic package 🙂 Anyways drink what you like. Everyone's tastes in wine are different.
  3. I would not say undetectable, but very expensive to detect. Are you going to run a chemical analysis on the residue and come back with the answer several days later or a week later when the occupant of the room is gone? They do have vape detectors that are very expensive but vapers claim that they can vape without them being set off. At least when I get a new room the hard surfaces are cleaned. I am not so sure about the sitting surfaces such as cloth couches and the like.
  4. What? You do not think that the rocking and rolling of the ship is good for the 33k bottle of wine sold for 100k? Just imagine the sommelier who gets the 18k tip?
  5. Oh I was just wondering as in at 25K a glass, how do you know you are getting the wine that you purchased. I suppose that if they uncork it at the table and you examine the bottle that should be good enough? How do you know that it is the real wine? I know that they have art counterfeits. What about wine counterfeits? Asking for a friend 🙂
  6. One more question for those of you that have cruised on Oceania. Are there chair hogs at the pool. In other words do people put their towels out by the pool at 0700 to reserve a chair vs just getting a chair while they are actually at the pool?
  7. So if you order the 100k bottle of wine, do they bring it to the table or do they pour it in the back 🙂🙂
  8. Know of anyone who got caught vaping in a cruise cabin or hotel room? Smoking is obvious because it smells. Vape disipates and leaves a bit of residue. Much harder to detect... At least that is what I read from the vapers vaping in hotel rooms... Who have not been caught.
  9. Well if nothing else this thread has made me more aware about vaping. People can vape in your hotel room and it will not be noticed. How does one know if someone vaped in their cruise cabin or hotel room before them? They likely don't...
  10. So I looked this 100k wine up which sells for 33k. It is from ungrafted vines that gives you the closest taste to 19th century wines that are possible. I will have to ask for a taste in a wine tasting ... 🙂 🙂
  11. We experienced this in Fine Cuts, but did not notice noise in Eden.
  12. I have seen people purchase upwards of 80k in the art auctions. But does one spend more on a bottle of wine than they spend on their cabin?
  13. I asked the question because it seemed like your preference was based upon risk aversion?
  14. Does the classic drink package cover this 🙂🙂
  15. So what is your opinion of aerialists doing their act hundreds of feet up in the air?
  16. There is no wow with an aeralist doing their act at 20 feet. Now perhaps if they were one of the better aeralists. But they are not. They are cruise ship aeralists. Perhaps 10 or more aeralists with 10 acrobats with ...
  17. The poster that I was responding to thought that the shows were Grade A. Even when you compare the shows to Royal the shows on Royal are better. I will take someone diving into a small pool at 300 feet or better vs someone doing aerials at 20 feet. If you want the shows on the main stream lines you go to the bigger ships. I did not realize that this was a point of contention. Regarding the food well the tumbleweeds blowing through the OVC in January were a bit much with all of the empty stations. I can read the menu for my upcoming cruise and I can tell you that it is not up to par with the menu on my last Celebrity cruise. This is without tasting the food. I can read a menu. What is the latest Celebrity fiasco? Vaping in the casino... The Celebrity changes trying to attract a younger clientele are a bit much. My plan is to try an Oceania cruise after my next Celebrity cruise. Regarding the shows. Does anyone that has been on 30 or more cruises not get tired of some of these shows? They all seem very similiar to me.
  18. When this gets rolled out to the other ships, I will just skip the casino on my next cruise ...
  19. Kind of the way that I feel about the Celebrity casinos. They are rather small when compared to land casinos.
  20. Not disdain they are boring to me and one among hundreds. The same for ship casinos. I may skip out of the show if I start dozing off. Why do I cruise this category? You are 100% correct. It is not for the shows or casinos. If it was for the shows the bigger ships have a bit better shows, but I like the smaller ships. I am just totally bored with them. I probably have seen 20 or so similiar B shows this last year and 10 or so Vegas headliners.
  21. LOL These are what our B shows look like ... The headliners are much much more extravagant.
  22. When you compare them to O in Las Vegas or any of the Cirque Du Soleil shows they do not come close. For starters their stages are way too small. Ho hum. Boring... They probably don't have anyone that comes close to Shin Lim either...
