Our booking shows it is the embarkation at noon (placeholder). However when we look at the cruise planner it has the dates and times. We know that they are on night 3 and night 6 of our cruise but we don't know which one yet.

The aft balconies are about the only way to get a balcony on E class unless you are in a suite. They are booked up early and are more expensive. Sure they have the obscured porthole balconies, but I do not count those as they are obscured. And IVs are not balconies. To be honest I don't understand the clamor for E class (unless in a suite) especially when sailing to a scenic destination.

My plan is to book a smaller cruise ship that docks in Venice. I would also like to port in the Amalfi coast vs taking a long long bus ride.

One of a few... On S class windows are all over. On E class find the spouting whale in this picture. If the rear had the best view they would put the suites and retreat back there.

Go for it. Congratulations. The people that hate it ... Blah blah blah... Not someone that you would want to meet on a cruise... Of course there might be some of us hooligans that switch the letters around... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We did this on a HAL ship about 7 or 8 years ago. It is with a professional photographer where they spend an hour or two in different poses. Later on they photoshop the results and give you x photos for y dollars. This is something that could be done on land just as well. I was happy with the results. Hopefully someone will chime who has done it on Celebrity, but the results are highly dependent upon the photographer.

Well you compare a single older Princess ship to what? What Celebrity ships are you comparing to? I will say that Celebrity tends to put their best staff on their newest ships, but their newest ships have few balconies.

Totally agree. I am not a fan of Hilton where you have to call to get your room cleaned everyday. It would not be that bad if they picked up the phone.

You will see the whales when you are walking around the ship? Very few windows there. Unless you spend 24/7 on the balcony. The whales spout when they want to spout. They do not wait for you to be on the balcony. In your case you do not know what you missed because you did not see it. I have been amazed at the sea life that I have seen walking around S class. Very little on E. Most prefer to be looking in the direction that they are headed. There is a reason the suites are in the front.

LOL. I suppose that if aft was better they would put the bridge back there. However it is in the front. As is the sky lounge. This reminds me of a failed experiment where they put station wagon seats facing aft. How long did that last? A year or so? E class interior has few views. There are very few windows and your views are of fancy shops and not scenic views. Inward facing views vs outward facing. If I had sailed E class in Cabo or Alaska I would not have seen the whales spouting... I saw the whales while walking around the ship through windows.

I would think so if Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are the yardstick. I suppose that they could afford the bottle for everyone, but you would not find them on Celebrity..

Other cruise lines have a much much smaller deposit or deals for a smaller deposit. Much like putting a cruise on layaway...

Perhaps the people that are willing to pay more for a bottle of wine have more assets? I would not call them idiots, just because they make more than me and you...

How does this happen? Is the food not kept warm under heat lamps until it is served? Or is that the restaurant model and not applicable in cruise ships?
