  1. Celebrity appears to be focused on chasing away their existing customers. Their business practices starting in January do not make any sense to me. Short term gains vs. long term losses.
  2. I would not mind paying 12 months out if the product and fees stayed consistent. My issues with Celebrity are: 1. I do not know what the Celebrity product is going to be. There have been so many cuts. 2. I do not know how much added in fees I will be paying. The fees have gone up by quite a bit, especially room service. If I do not know what the product is going to be at sailing time and I do not know how much it is going to cost then why book early?
  3. I was actually lucky in this matter. I paid at the 18%. However I feel that these changes should be grandfathered in based upon cruise booking date. You book a cruise with one financial set of charges and it changes if you book it far enough in advance. I just do not see myself booking a cruise very far out anymore. The big added charge for my cruise is the room service fee.
  4. Cheerleaders defending the indefensible... Perhaps they get a check from Celebrity?
  5. And if Celebrity announced all of them it would be an endless parade of e-mails.
  6. I would also suspect to see this 20% gravitate towards drink packages and drinks...
  7. This package is a lot more than Celebrity offers. Celebrity charges for room service and have you seen how much Celebrity charges for specialty dining?
  8. Is not that their new trademark? From Relaxed Luxury to Less for more.
  9. That very limited amount likely mirrors the percentage of the Royal demographic that prefers the IVs or does not have a strong preference.
  10. Royal has done some of this for bartending. I am not a fan... It was so impersonal and sterile... The drinks were not all that good.
  11. Beached? Anyways I did peek at Voyager itineraries and they were too short for my preferences. I was booked on a smaller Princess ship during C19 and Princess sold the ship to some luxury line that charged 4x the Princess price.
  12. That was the point. If IVs were so good then they would have put them in the suites. Part of a larger discussion. Similar to if the new group "butler" service is really an upgrade then they would put them in the top suites. If something really is better they will upgrade the top suites to that service. But they did not and BSed about the reason for it.
  13. Hmmm. Interesting. My experience on Royal has been the megaships with the teens running around the halls at 2 AM. If the older ships are similar to S class I may have to try them out. Thanks.
  14. Well stated. You look at the higher cost rooms and see what they provide. This also applies to the IVs on E class. If they were so great they would be in the suites.
  15. Maybe it is just for the date I am sailing. Perhaps they will update it. But I get your point. I can look at the current Milly sailing and see the menu. Thanks.
  16. Nothing like a bit of rocking and rollin for me to sleep like a baby.
  17. OK. That is where I am looking but for Millenium. It only shows Breakfast so far ... There is not an All Day option. I will check back later.
  18. Is there a way to find the room service menu for the rest of the day?
  19. I believe that they already have. Cruises are booked a year or two in advance. It takes people a couple of years to figure out that the product is not what it once was.
  20. OK. I am looking at the room service menu for my upcoming cruise. It only lists breakfast. Do they also have room service for lunch and dinner hours? Did I miss a cut somewhere? Also is it possible to schedule your room service breakfast ahead of time for a certain time in the morning?
  21. I just looked at the lunch menus for our upcoming cruise in the MDR. Hmmm. I suppose we will eat in specialty for lunch also. Sigh.
  22. E class is on my no sail list along with Carnival and Royal. The suite cruisers tend to like it though...
  23. Some of these posters complain about the complainers in every post and defend the indefensible. Kind of ironic if you ask me... If Celebrity is making cuts, sooner or later one of them will effect you. While I booked my cruise a couple of years in advance with the price locked in, it is going to cost me more with the added fees.
  24. Peace to 99.5% of you. 😁😁 You have to admit that is a good line. Insult someone's intelligence and then say Peace to all. This is something our politicians would do 😁😁
