  1. Yes, it has been quite some time since I have seen the free DSC promo. They have also have free taxes/port fees during April as a tax free promo. That has been quite some time ago as well. I got lucky one time and had both of those on one sailing!
  2. After reading through this thread I am starving, damn all of you!
  3. As long as hey are not all LEFT wings I am good! 🙂 🙂 🙂
  4. There are no pre-paid gratuities on NCL other than the gratuities on the FAS items. Those are included and paid for when you book your cruise. The daily servcie charge(DSC) can be pre-paid as well. It has nothing at all to do with the FAS packages that you have selected.
  5. 1) Yes I am 100% sure that SOMEONE has taken advantage of the offer. 2) Last time we went it was at Teppanyaki. 3) Go to the Cruise Next office and inquire with them. 4) We don't drink so sorry no help on the wine tasting.
  6. It would have been posted to yr on board account and used to offset your expenses. Normally it is not a big amount by any means.
  7. You MIGHT have to cal in to verify and use it. I have heard of that happening in similar situations.
  8. I pay $0. Being unplugged is one of the great things about being on a cruise. No one really "NEEDS" to be on the internet for hours on a cruise. Heck I have my own business but I have people who can run things for a week without me being tapped into work. We get the FAS minutes and all four of us our Sapphire latitude minutes. We most often use way less than half of that time for quick mindless browsing at the end of the day such as checking sports scores etc. We only do that because it is free.
  9. What exactly did you want for compensation for missing a very meager tour?
  10. We have never had any issues with noise at any level in Cagney's on any ship.
  11. That is not what the law suit said. It said the manufacturer misrepresented the safety and reliability. That means that what they stated was not accurate. They overstated it to some degree is what was adjudicated. It could be that the manufacturer stated they were 100% reliable when in reality they were only 80% reliable for example. Does not mean they are unreliable or unsafe. It also does not mean that steps cannot be taken to use them in a safe and reliable manner.
  12. What others expect in no way what-so-ever impacts the decisions I make. They can expect whatever they want.
  13. As with ALL tipping threads there is NO PROTOCOL at all. You merely tip whomever you want, whenever you want, however much you want. What others may or may not do is 100% irrelevant. EOS.
  14. There was a guy on one of my cruise who would call ANY bet of had an ace in his hand no matter the second card. He would call an all in with ace-rag every time. so He has position on me I'm holding QJ diamonds and made a pre-flop raise and of course he calls. Flop was K-10-9 diamonds. 🙂 He lost a LOT of money of on that hand with hiis ace-4 hitting a 4 on the turn.
  15. The 50% hit in the US as well. It does not look like the prices are higher THAN before though.
  16. Live dealer, not the crappy machines that CCL has. Yes 3-card and Ultimate (one of the WORST odds games in a casino), stakes vary but usually about $10 They have tournaments a couple of days not really a sit and go per 'se. The level of poker play is usually quite low. Many players are the "I've seen this on TV let me give it a whack" type or way to drunk to be playing poker. You are welcome behind
  17. Yes you will get refunded, however how does paying ahead of time v. paying at the end of the cruise change the fact that you pay for what you use (or as you put it, being nickled and dimed)?
  18. Yes, but you are stuck on a crappy Carnival ship for a week. CCL - The Walmart of the seas, dirty rusty ships, nasty food, terrible casino.
  19. Just because it went over your head does not mean it wasn't humorous there cupcake!
  20. Simply log into MyNCL with the account for the first person in each cabin. If you do not know that info, call NCL and ask for it.
  21. I guess the humor went right over your precious little head. Sorry, next time I'll try to put a humor disclaimed on applicable posts! 🙂
  22. What difference does it make? Booking ahead of time or on thr ship is not going to change the schedule one bit.
