  1. I did it with my travel agent at the time of booking. If you don't have a travel agent call Holland directly. I always get reserved seating. It's more comfortable for me.
  2. I booked with a travel agent decently and got the advantage fare and I got perks. I even got the have it all packaged. I'm just sorry that I'm just recently finding out about the advantage fare. My original travel agent never mentioned it.
  3. You are totally correct. They never ever mention the advantage fair. The only 1 that has ever told me about it is my travel agent.
  4. This is definitely a concern for me and I was thinking about how I should go about it. I got some great ideas here. thank you all . @bcd2010 Thanks for addressing this.
  5. That happened to me. And I did have the code and no 1 knew what I was talking about.
  6. Actually I think 1 of them works for amazon! She talks about cruises but she's always advertising amazon.
  7. I love Gary. But I do agree that the others are not as honest as they should be and they are being funded by the cruise lines
  8. Same here. We made it twice to Greenland ,2 different cruise ships but mine were in July. 2 different cruise ships but both were with HAL.
  9. That seems like a safer way to do business. This way no 1 else has your credit card information except an automated system. I don't like giving my security code to people I don't know. Especially now that they have my credit card number and expiration date.
  10. That's exactly what the travel agent said to me.
  11. That's good to know. I'm with a new travel agent , , new agency , So we'll see what happens. On the confirmation that the travel agency sent me I do see the onboard credit that they are giving me. And I will print that out and take it with me. However,, when I call Holland America they do not see the onboard credit that the travel agent has given me. That kind of worries me.
  12. I was able to book mine already for my cruise coming up for 21 days. I had to call him to do it
  13. I have experienced problems with canceling excursions. You are right. It's very difficult to cancel 24 hours in advance when you don't know how you are gonna feel 24 hours in advance. I had the experience where I had to go to customer service to cancel an excursion for the the next day because the excursions desk was closed And they never sent the sent the message over. I just checked it up as a loss. But it is very frustrating, I get it. IMO They need to have voicemail at the excursion desk.
  14. I had difficulties as well. I did call them directly and they helped me immediately.
  15. I just did that today for my cruise in October. $29
  16. And the Explorations cafe is excellent IMO
  17. I wonder why they canceled. If the levels are OK now the trip isn't until October of this year. As far as I know there was no explanation given but we were notified At least 6 or 7 months prior so I really don't have a complaint other than I really wanted to see the Panama canal. Oh well, maybe next year. But I'm still going this year to the Caribbean for the 21 days. I didn't cancel
  18. That happened to me on my 21 day Panama canal cruise this year. They canceled the Panama canal and a lot of the other ports that I wanted to see. I thought about canceling but I didn't. But there was no compensation. At least I didn't get any. It really was my choice to stay. I guess I could have canceled so I'm not really looking for compensation.
  19. I was uncomfortable. They can see in at night if the lights are on as far as I know. That's what I heard but I'm not sure, I kept the drapes closed.
  20. I am close to being a 4 star mariner and I've never ever heard of this.
  21. I agree. That's when the walker most helped me. Waiting in lines on the ship.
