  1. The “true” inside passage runs between Vancouver Island and the mainland. Royal ships do not do this, but sail round the outside of the Island (rougher seas and no scenery) The map that Princess uses labels the area North of Vancouver Island as the inside passage, but this is only a tiny section and misses the best views.
  2. Thanks @Coral, I have been waiting for this. We are booked on the previous sailing and wanted to make it a B2B
  3. Great to have you back, following along. Have a great cruise.
  4. We haven’t sailed with Ambassador yet, but have read some good reviews and are also tempted by the offers available. We have a cruise booked with them next year. We think there is no such thing as a bad cruise. Will everything be perfect - no. Will we enjoy ourselves, absolutely! you could try posing your question in the first time cruisers forum https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/58-first-time-cruisers/ or read one of the “live from” reviews. I particularly liked this one
  5. We were on the Island Princess in August last year, it was magical.
  6. I remember reading a blog from the 2018 Princess World Cruise. The writer used an oxygen concentrator. You might find it interesting reading https://roundtheworldwriter.blogspot.com/2018/01/day-1-embarkation.html
  7. Another vote for Glacier Bay. Also try to pick an itinerary that sails between Vancouver Island and the mainland. Better views, calmer seas, the bigger ships go round the outside.
  8. Try looking at Ambassador https://www.ambassadorcruiseline.com
  9. @Dairbear01 thanks, we will likely do a lot of walking around on our own. Just doing excursions if there is a “must see” that is too far away to walk!
  10. Discovering the Arctic's Wildlife & Remote Landscapes (T2417) - 19/07/2024 Summertime Norwegian Fjords (T2418) - 15/08/2024 Discovering Asia with the Holi Festival (L2502) - 18/01/202
  11. Same price, longer itinerary would be my choice. check out the obstructed view cabins here https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/ov.php?ship=Crown-Princess&cabins=E101-E121 some are hardly obstructed, might not be able to see to the sides or down, but a good view straight out. We have stayed in them and they are great.
  12. Princess do the world cruises from Brisbane in the middle of the year. This one leaves London on 30th July and arrives in Brisbane on Sept 28th. It is for 2025, but the run it every year https://www.princess.com/cruise-search/details/?voyageCode=3514A&fareType=BESTFARE
  13. If the cruise is sold as 2 segments of 7 days. You will get a set up for each segment. It doesn’t matter if you booked as 7 day b2b or a single 14 day
  14. Here is a link to the new brochure. https://indd.adobe.com/view/d1429bc1-d64d-41ae-88b0-3bc2dde4db52 Open for bookings on 25th April
  15. @Oakman58 which kettle to you bring that has been allowed on board?
  16. It will show all future cruises, but usually takes a few days after the booking until they show up
  17. You should be able to book after you have made final payment. Elite and Platinum loyalty levels can book as soon as they book the cruise.
  18. We bought Eitt Sett from a local gas station, then had to look for more in the next port……. It was chocolate covered and delicious
  19. Thanks @vino100 and @OccasionalSanta We have a comedy cruise booked (for the itinerary) and I didn’t know what to expect.
  20. @vino100 how did the comedy cruise go? Pros and cons? thanks
  21. We use gigsky, although we have not been to the Caribbean it has good packages for most areas https://www.gigsky.com/
