  1. I'd love to know how much money those on free casino cruisers have won or more likely lost in order to take a free cruise. 🙂
  2. Jeanie, pay attention. You're in the UK. So you're in the best place of all to take advantage of the best cruise pricing. You can book in the UK. Or you can book in the US also. You get to pick and choose the best deals if you want to as you're not limited to one region. Also bear in mind that a lot of cruise prices are better in the UK right now. The important thing to bear in mind is that you must compare cruises on an individual basis. It's rare but it can be suites are cheaper in the US and balcony rooms are cheaper in the UK on the very same sailing! I've just booked an Azamara cruise which was around 65% cheaper in the UK to book. Yes that's sixty five and not six point five! I got quotes from our regular US based TA who didn't believe the price I'd quoted him from the UK. Celebrity UK often have offers for UK sailings that are regularly cheaper to book in the UK. Last minute Caribbean sailings will likely be a lot cheaper when booked in the US as the big box TA's block book inventory and have to sell them off. There's also considerably more competition in the Caribbean and many mega ships based there. So prices do look cheap compared to European sailings. Next time you're ready to book look at UK pricing and the big box US based TA's and smile as you're able to choose the best deal. 🙂
  3. I know that guy in the real world. Very, very well in fact. He'll be flattered by your post. 🙂
  4. We got an S1 sky suite on Beyond in January 2024, 11 nights for under £3000 ($3510) per person. That included a total of $1525 OBC after transferring the booking to a TA. Just to put new pricing into perspective.
  5. This reads like a post I read on a well known social media site covering Celebrity cruises. It's almost word for word. I assume you read it previously! 🙂
  6. Well Celebrity announced cruise prices for Apex sailings from Southampton today. Does anyone else expect pretty big drops between now and sail date? At around £250 per person per night in an inside cabin and £550 for a sky suite, I don't think they will be filling the ship quickly at current prices. Other cruise lines are available... 🙂
  7. What a disappointment. I was hoping Lisa Lutof-Perlo was going to be replaced.
  8. I'd like to see all suites include butlers. But having just returned from Pursuit I'd like to see some additional training for their existing butlers. For the first time ever I had ours replaced. A decision I didn't take lightly. And apparently he wasn't new. 😞
  9. Thanks. That makes perfect sense.
  10. Thanks for the heads up Belfastman. We're onboard very soon and there are a couple of cruises we're very interested in so I was wondering what the onboard offers would be. I'm Discoverer plus. So as it's normally 7% discount, am I correct in thinking that double discount gives us 14% off plus an additional 10% for a total of 24% discount on the published fares? I ask at that sounds too good to be true? Or is the 10% already applied as part of a current offer? Thanks in advance.
  11. I've sailed on 3 Celebrity cruises so far this year. Service and food quality have really dropped and it's very noticeable. However you'll find all of the same problems on all of the other cruise lines in the same segment. So, despite me thinking some aspects of cruising with Celebrity are a bit 'meh' right now I'm not going to stop sailing with them. I reckon it could be a couple of years before we see pre pandemic levels of service and food and beverage standards return to what they once were. Possibly even longer.
  12. Luminae has always had a kids menu. We often order the 4 oz fillet mignon from the kids menu on the side of our regular order.
  13. The one with big gay Al and his big gay animal sanctuary?
  14. Funny you should say that. I've dined in Tuscan on four separate cruises now. Three times they've got the cooking point completely wrong! :) Needles to say I've never been back on any ship fora few years now. It has a great location on S class ships, but I much prefer Murano.
  15. Hello all I wonder if you could help me with a question please? I was surprised to log into my Azamara account and find that Celebrity Captains Club points earned last month have been added to my Azamara Circle account. Does anyone know when the reciprocal agreement will end now that AZ are an independent company? Secondly we have some friends who are considering sailing with us on AZ. They have not sailed on this line previously but did book a trip which was cancelled due to covid. They signed up for the AZ circle program and are Elite with Celebrity. So they show as Discover status now despite never having sailed on AZ. My second question is will they receive the Discoverer perks? Or will they need to complete one AZ sailing first to enjoy discounts etc in the future? Thank you in advance.
