  1. That’s funny— Love it !! How about: -An old fart pulling out her iPhone 4 with 1593 photos of her grandchildren? - someone that had too much to drink and kept telling you about the time when , etc etc.—even when you said “ Your soup is getting cold “ .
  2. We were in Blu twice-- Would not select it as a Specialty restaurant. Prefer Murano or Lawn Club Grill if available on board. Food/Meals in Aqua: Breakfast --- Great, but we now have breakfast in the MDR and request a table for 2 , followed by a visit to the Elite breakfast in the Tuscan Grill ( or wherever ). Avoid the OVC ( Slugfest on 14 ) circus. Dinner---- much toooo " healthy " -- unless it has changed ? If I can't pronounce it, I won't order it. Ambiance: Very nice venue, excellent service , dine at anytime. LOL-----Tables for 2 are much too close to each other--- So, one night I thought the beautiful 32 yr old at a table next to ours was asking me when she said , etc, etc----- know what I mean ?? Access to the Persian Gardens was very enjoyable , but "Watch out" for the 5 minute Free Massage they offer every time you walk by---It's not Free by the time they are "finished " with you.
  3. " Guest Services " ??-- Please listen " slowly ". Guest Services Reception Counter is only good for: 1--Changing $$ bills into lower denominations-- " Can you please change this $100 bill into 6 $20's "? Answer : NO problem, would you like it all in $10's " 2--" I would like to file a complaint "-- Procedure: Write14 pages , tell passenger it will be forwarded to HO for review , at the end of the cruise , " forwarded " into trash can. 3-- " I would like to speak to the Hotel Manager " ? -- Procedure: " Can I tell him/her what it's about " ?--- 14 minutes later " Sorry, Mr/Ms etc is in a meeting". 4-- " There's no pen in our Stateroom "-- Answer: " We only supply pens in Suites--- I can lend you mine ". 5-- " Why are all the GR Staff laughing "-- Answer: "You should hear some of the BS why Passengers remove the Gratuities, or the compensation Passengers ask for because there were NO friggin , etc ,etc in the buffet".
  4. Total waste of money !! The " old farts " won't hear 'em !!
  5. LOL--- YOU are smarter than me --- When she "let me go" she said I looked 20 years younger already--- Well, that lasted until I returned to our Stateroom and peeked into the mirror !! She also said that the nice smelling "stuff" was like a " gift " from the Persian Gardens because it was sooooo cheap --- and on sale for this cruise only ! Anyway, after a few days smelling like a peach etc, etc.
  6. Here's a procedure that worked every time since we provide a $US TD Visa credit card at check-in: Because we don't book All Included ( non-drinkers, don't use much wifi ) the Gratuities are added to our account every day. Every few days check our Account on the tv and again on the last night. Luckily, we never had a problem. Now you got me thinking ( again ) about that FREE 5 minute massage that cost me $357 by the time she let me go !!!!! ( LOL-- from time to time there was a charge or three that I was toooo scared to ask " you know who " about--- but, I had a " feeling " they were legitimate ).
  7. It was probably an overlap in time between GR processed the payment and Accounting activated the final billings. Other than that, I doubt Celebrity would do anything except maybe charge back the difference.
  8. I understood that the difference was very little, but the " issue " was the " principle " of it happening and best to just move on. ( Not as important as our Waiter in 2013 forgetting to bring my 3 shrimp cocktails at the same time ).
  9. Suggestion: Get yourself a $US Credit card and set up a bank account with $US funds. Then, anytime you book a cruise, or are on a cruise, or purchase " another " bathing suit coverup in the Islands, everything will be charged to the card. ( Hopefully the conversion rate will go down soon--- by 2035 ) !!!
  10. First of all-- I don't remember who accused me, and most important--- Absolutely NO apologies necessary. As for how anyone spends their money, I'm with you 99.9% What does bother me are the folks that remove the Gratuities--- the Staff work so hard to please us and rely on tips as part of their salary. Enjoy all your future cruises.
  11. " boast " ??? Yea right !! Just because some folks leave a few extra $$ you call that " boasting " ? Celebrity added the Automatic Gratuities because of folks ( not inferring anyone ) not leaving anything --- and I agree 100% with their decision. Read post # 58----Ya think that's " boasting " ?????
  12. Assuming you are not familiar with an IV---- It's a 3 ft extension to the cabin with 2 chairs, a small table and a window that only goes 1/2 way down--- It's not a balcony at all. LOL-- There have been many "discussions" ( arguments ) on CC about this--- but, no name calling.
  13. Absolutely not a bribe and why give it a second thought as to how it is being taken ? It's just a nice thing to do. You might have noticed a post or two where I have been accused of bribing a Maitre'd from time to time because he/she helped us get a table in a Specialty restaurant at a time when there appeared to be none available--- ( a few $$ to say " Thanks " ).
  14. LOL----" special lounge " ?? And, you are from Vancouver ?? Ummm ?? I hope I'm not thinking what I'm thinking !! Ya might get sent to the CC shed for 93 days for that !!
  15. No separate lounge for Elite tier ? LOL--- When we " graduated " (?? ) to Elite a few years ago I thought " Wow, THIS is something special "----- Only to find out that over 90% of the passengers were Elite or higher. So, the only " separate lounge " for Elite tier passengers is called your stateroom.
  16. Excellent idea-- never thought of that. From now on I won't have to stand in line on the last night at GR to get a few envelopes for additional tips----with the #$%@$%^ removing their Gratuities. One day I'll post what I " really " think of these people--- ( I know, it's not my business---- but, but--- )
  17. Now that's a great topic for a Thread !!! LOL---- I " wonder " what the first response would be ?? Any guesses ??
  18. LOL--- You are correct !! Guess who never had an AI package and doesn't know that it includes unlimited WIFI ? ( non-drinkers, don't need much WIFI, and have Gratuities charged to their account every day ). Guess who was a " regular " at the ILounge for WIFI time " adjustments " for forgetting to Log Off each time ? ( The Staff were very accommodating --- never a problem ).
  19. As noted above--- Yes A few tips: Be sure to tell " whomever ": Log-Off the WIFI after each use or your WIFI time will be used up very quickly. To write emails-- Prepare the emails first, then log on, press send and immediately log-off. To read emails-- Log on, download the emails , log off immediately , then read the emails.
  20. "I am happy to say that this cruise has been just as good as all of my previous celebrity cruises. Service is top notch". Nice to hear-- I've mentioned many times that we never had a bad cruise--- just go with the " flow "-- Ok, on occasion a dish wasn't the " greatest ", so, we ordered something else -- never a problem. The entertainment/activities ?? What the hell-- sometimes very good, other times not so good-- doesn't spoil the cruise. The Service has always been excellent. "after all the negative feedback "--- IMO, some of the negative Threads/Posts are absolute nonsense--- ok, ok, to me.
  21. Absolutely an excellent review--- The Royal suite looks magnificent. The photos of the food, in particular the presentation of same, makes me wonder why there are so many negative comments on CC about it recently. I'll bet it tasted as good as it looks. LOL----"and I decided a cruise sounded much more enjoyable!" ----- Watch out !! Better hope Mom doesn't see this !!!
  22. On our last cruise ( EDGE ) I turned $XX OBC into cash using that method-- no " service charge " was applied. FYI--- We are Elite--- a few more cruises to Elite +------ Probably will never get to Zenith +++
  23. Agree 100%-- Good size, Great outdoor view , relaxing. I don't use the cold room--- ( That's why we're on the friggin cruise ). The only thing that bothers me, and I assume everyone, else are the people that stay " way " over the posted time ( 20-30 minutes ) on the warm lounges either reading or snoring. LOL---The pretty 40 (??) yr old that asked me if I was cruising solo --- she didn't bother me ---But, what can I say ??
  24. Hard to decide for you--but, I usually do. However, if you purchase a " whole trip access " pass and plan to use it daily or even twice a day, it's probably worth it, rather than a " daily access " pass. They do tell you that they only sell X amount of " whole trip access " passes, but, I think it's just a pressure tactic. Here's a " tip "----- Do not accept the " Free Five Minute Massage " outside the Spa or near the pool---It's going to cost you lots of $$$ by the time they are " finished " with you. They will ask, oops, tell you " Are YOU aware that your X is, and your Y feels, etc, etc--- But, lucky for you , we have a " Special " for this cruise etc etc ". $ 357 later you will be bringing a pretty bag back to your room full of beautiful smelling " stuff " which will ,oops, is supposed to, but---doesn't make you look 20 yrs younger.
