  1. Excellent idea-- never thought of that. From now on I won't have to stand in line on the last night at GR to get a few envelopes for additional tips----with the #$%@$%^ removing their Gratuities. One day I'll post what I " really " think of these people--- ( I know, it's not my business---- but, but--- )
  2. Now that's a great topic for a Thread !!! LOL---- I " wonder " what the first response would be ?? Any guesses ??
  3. LOL--- You are correct !! Guess who never had an AI package and doesn't know that it includes unlimited WIFI ? ( non-drinkers, don't need much WIFI, and have Gratuities charged to their account every day ). Guess who was a " regular " at the ILounge for WIFI time " adjustments " for forgetting to Log Off each time ? ( The Staff were very accommodating --- never a problem ).
  4. As noted above--- Yes A few tips: Be sure to tell " whomever ": Log-Off the WIFI after each use or your WIFI time will be used up very quickly. To write emails-- Prepare the emails first, then log on, press send and immediately log-off. To read emails-- Log on, download the emails , log off immediately , then read the emails.
  5. "I am happy to say that this cruise has been just as good as all of my previous celebrity cruises. Service is top notch". Nice to hear-- I've mentioned many times that we never had a bad cruise--- just go with the " flow "-- Ok, on occasion a dish wasn't the " greatest ", so, we ordered something else -- never a problem. The entertainment/activities ?? What the hell-- sometimes very good, other times not so good-- doesn't spoil the cruise. The Service has always been excellent. "after all the negative feedback "--- IMO, some of the negative Threads/Posts are absolute nonsense--- ok, ok, to me.
  6. Absolutely an excellent review--- The Royal suite looks magnificent. The photos of the food, in particular the presentation of same, makes me wonder why there are so many negative comments on CC about it recently. I'll bet it tasted as good as it looks. LOL----"and I decided a cruise sounded much more enjoyable!" ----- Watch out !! Better hope Mom doesn't see this !!!
  7. On our last cruise ( EDGE ) I turned $XX OBC into cash using that method-- no " service charge " was applied. FYI--- We are Elite--- a few more cruises to Elite +------ Probably will never get to Zenith +++
  8. Agree 100%-- Good size, Great outdoor view , relaxing. I don't use the cold room--- ( That's why we're on the friggin cruise ). The only thing that bothers me, and I assume everyone, else are the people that stay " way " over the posted time ( 20-30 minutes ) on the warm lounges either reading or snoring. LOL---The pretty 40 (??) yr old that asked me if I was cruising solo --- she didn't bother me ---But, what can I say ??
  9. Hard to decide for you--but, I usually do. However, if you purchase a " whole trip access " pass and plan to use it daily or even twice a day, it's probably worth it, rather than a " daily access " pass. They do tell you that they only sell X amount of " whole trip access " passes, but, I think it's just a pressure tactic. Here's a " tip "----- Do not accept the " Free Five Minute Massage " outside the Spa or near the pool---It's going to cost you lots of $$$ by the time they are " finished " with you. They will ask, oops, tell you " Are YOU aware that your X is, and your Y feels, etc, etc--- But, lucky for you , we have a " Special " for this cruise etc etc ". $ 357 later you will be bringing a pretty bag back to your room full of beautiful smelling " stuff " which will ,oops, is supposed to, but---doesn't make you look 20 yrs younger.
  10. LOL-- Not anymore since Celebrity cut back the " Pineapple treats " OBC to $10 and changed the rules---- You now have to stay the whole night to qualify. It does not include the visit to the Medical Center to repair your broken nose ----if you get caught. And, who's going to believe you spent the whole night writing poems in the OVC ? I know, I know, it's not nice, but have you noticed the demographics of the passengers on Celebrity ships??
  11. "a travel partner which does take some stress " ??? My " travel partner " ?? Stress ??? LOL--- " You know who " don't give me no stress--- Always there to " guide " me in MY ( yea right ) decisions. Example--- How was I to know that 3 shrimp cocktails, 2 plates of Beef Wellington followed by 2 Creme Brulé deserts was not good for me ? What the hell, I only ate a few vegetables and 1/2 of the mashed potatoes (I'm watching my diet ). Another example---So, we're sitting at the pool and this beautiful , etc etc--- then a few minutes later I'm sitting by myself ---- That tells me that my eyes are workin !! Guess who better not read this post ???
  12. If you have not tried it on any ship, and it's available, try it. Excellent menu, French service, very relaxing atmosphere, etc. As good as any upscale restaurant where I'm from. It's the best of all the Specialty restaurants---( IMO ). ( While we are not suite passengers, I think that suite passengers are permitted to eat there at no extra cost, but, I'm not sure ).
  13. Really ?? What's wrong with that ? There are threads very often inquiring " Who will be on board the XYZ in XYZ "? ( I've posted my thoughts many times ) LOL Reason-----Never had a bad cruise -- Lucky to be on a cruise---Just go with the flow and don't sweat the small stuff !!
  14. "Z"--- Wake up !! We are still in 2023 -- With your " pull " at Celebrity --- email 'em and tell 'em what you want. And, while you're at it, suggest they add another scoop of gelato to the Elite category . ( True story --- on a recent cruise " you know who " ordered a gelato--- The Server put 2 scoops into a bowl--- and, when I " bragged " that we were ELITE---- she took one scoop out). I was going to remove the Gratuities, but the line was toooooo long. Another suggestion ---- Ask Celebrity to post a " Remove Gratuities Here " sign at GR so we/I won't have to wait so long to complain when our Server forgets to bring all 3 shrimp cocktails at the same time.
  15. That's THE best dish on board---- not counting the 32 yr old with the " old fart " that we, er, I stared at every time I saw them. I'll give 200/1 odds that she still has the Rolex he bought her and he only has the memories.
  16. LOL-- Really ??? Impossible ! Have you read "any " of my other posts ?? LOL-- I thought I'm the only person on CC who doesn't care "WHO'S the etc, etc " on a cruise 2 years from now.
  17. Not really the same thing. Beef Wellington is made with tenderloin as opposed to sirloin that they are now serving. " En Croute " a French name meaning wrapped in a crust--- sounds more expensive adding a French name.
  18. Absolutely correct -- A Texan can tell a good cut of meat anytime. No comparison to the Beef Tenderloin I ate " almost " every night on the Edge until " you know who " etc etc ---- How was I to know that eating tooooo much red meat is not good for me ? What the hell--- If it tastes good, it's good for me !!
  19. It was available every night in the Normandie dining room on the Edge this past March. One serving is excellent-- two even better !! Preceded by 2 shrimp cocktails--- followed by creme Brulé for desert--- and, to enjoy the rest of the evening----bypass the Casino !!!
  20. Why ? Just ignore such a dumb, oops, delete " dumb " question. ( Too many factors to consider and everybody's " speed limit " is different )
  21. Agree with all of the above-- If I may go off topic about " Kids on the ship ". When the kids are well behaved it's kind of nice seeing them having a good time enjoying the cruise, as we all do. On all of our Celebrity cruises I can't remember a time when kids were bothersome , at the pool , in the dining room and especially in a Specialty restaurant. I do remember many times when adults were. About cuts and prices--- I don't compare what they "used " to include . I look at what's " now " included-- If the price is " reasonable ", the date , the accommodation is what we want, I book it. LOL--- I leave " Who's the Captain on board " to other folks.
  22. LOL---Maybe a $25 fee for not returning your 4 towels to the laundry bin 17 ft from where you were sitting?
  23. UUMM, how about : 1---What's My Line ? The crowd has a chance to ask a passenger 20 questions. If he/she stumps 'em they win either a Free Cruise or an X key chain--- as selected by the CD--- The X t shirts are saved for the golf putting contest. 2-- Hamburger eating contest--- A $ 2.00 entry fee -- eat as many as you can in 5 minutes--- the winner gets 2 free visits to the medical clinic and a 12 pack of Imodium. 3--Guess the Distance ---- A $5.00 entry fee---- Whoever guesses the correct distance travelled from port to " wherever " overnight, as per the Captain's10am announcement wins whatever is in the pot, minus Celebrity's $ 200 " handling fee ". 4-- Silent Disco at the pool in bare feet--- Anyone that enters receives $100 OBC if they last 2 minutes without breaking their neck. Grabbing on to , lets say --- better forget who ---disqualifies you. And finally--- CC Posts while on the cruise---- Whoever posts the most posts regarding a post they read ( " Who's the XYZ on board " ) wins 1000 Free minutes on wifi.
  24. " immediately " or during the cruise. Who do you think is in line at GR removing Gratuities on Day 1 ( " I'll tip those who I feel deserve to be tipped " )? That's a " good one "!! Who do you think is in line at GR on the last night removing Gratuities because of some BS complaint(s) ? Always about food !! LOL--We were on a cruise years ago when the Cruise Director "bounced out" to introduce the show but first announced: " A wallet was just found with $600 in it--- Would the owner of the wallet please form a line right over here " ?
  25. Seems like you never met my car Salesman. My salesman, what a great guy !! Within 3 minutes he asked what my name is and mentioned it every few minutes. ( He even liked the same NHL team, the same NFL team, the same golf Pros, and, and, he seemed to like everything I did ). To the point--- the car I wanted was not available for 9 months so he spoke to the Manager ( " He usually can't adjust the sales price, but, leave it to me ". (wink ) He told him I was " willing " to wait IF they would discount the price--- 25 minutes later--Bang, off came $1100 plus, without even asking, they threw in winter floor mats and only charged me an extra $639 for "Undercoating and Permanent Polish ". What a great deal-- what a nice guy--- he even got the Manager to stop eating his Big Mac and come out of his office to meet me. I think he was upset at my Salesman because the last thing I heard was " Boy, that guy was some winner " !!!
