  1. If you have a booking you just give your stateroom number to the member of staff at the venue entrance. There are no tickets issued and no need for you to have a device to show your booking confirmation. At Limelight you will be escorted to a table, in the theatre it’s open seating so you just proceed inside and sit in the area you prefer.
  2. Really looking forward to following along on your cruise adventure. Iced tea isn’t drunk much here in the UK, unless it’s a flavoured bottled beverage. I have seen people making it though, first brewing black tea or a fruit variety and then shaking it over ice. Also lemonade this side of the pond is a fizzy drink, similar to Sprite. Again Freshly squeezed still lemonade is something you can buy in bottles, but I don’t think is available on ship. there will be fruit juice available in the morning for breakfast.
  3. It was special pricing that was only on the listed Britannia Baltic sailings. We booked directly with P&O. There were no other BLC offers running with P&O at the time, so no OBC. That said the “special pricing” was the same as the saver rates for the May sailing this year. So would be interested to know if anyone else has had shareholder OBC refused when booking “saver” rates.
  4. P&O refused us Shareholders credit on our Baltic cruise last September. We had booked a number of months before the cruise (not last minute) using a Blue Light Card offer. Having had shares for over 15 years, it was the first time OBC had been denied.
  5. I preferred the rumour of them adding Crooners that I heard a few months ago.
  6. I guess there could be a number of reasons why they changed back to the paper ordering systems. I hope they don’t go back to the need to sign. Enjoy your cruise, thanks for sharing your observations when you get the opportunity.
  7. I believe it was previously reported that Bistro sur La Mer was going to become Crooners.
  8. Yes, school holidays here for the next 2 weeks.
  9. Should also have said, just take your booking confirmation, as it has relevant reference numbers, and boarding pass can be printed by staff at the terminal.
  10. On a Saver Fare, cabins can be allocated anytime up to when you embark. Firstly you do not need your stateroom number to book any extras, any bookings will be recorded against you, as a passenger, not your room. I think it is unlikely that you will not be allocated a stateroom before embarkation, but if that is the case there are staff outside the terminal that have a list of passengers and room numbers with blank labels that they can then fill in for you. Even though you have fully paid for your cruise, if you select Pay the Balance on the P&O site the stateroom number often updates there before the rest of the system.
  11. People often miss the terms and conditions 😏 when I was last on Britannia I saw they were using Schweppes/Britvic small cans of tonic, within the package, so might be some leeway at some bars. No exception for Fever Tree though.
  12. Nope, it’s not. Fever Tree comes under premium bottled. So you can buy it with a 20% discount, but not have it included. covered in the terms and conditions. What is Included • The Ultimate drinks package is £39.95 per person, per day and includes an incredible array of beers, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs and wines by the glass retailing up to £6.95 per serving as listed on our menus, subject to availability. Spirits will be served in single measures only with a draught soda or long life juice mixer. • The package includes bottled water (500ml only), draught soft drinks, long life juices, primo Costa coffees, teas, hot chocolates, non- alcoholic cocktails. • In addition, the Ultimate drinks package provides a 20% discount on the following excluded items: any drinks retailing above £6.95, all bottles of wine, large bottles of water, canned or bottled premium soft drinks or juices and smoothies. • Loyalty discount will be applied when purchasing the Ultimate drinks package.
  13. It’s a very personal decision, for me it’s not about the value, I can see how easy it is for all drinks throughout a day to equal more than £40 a day. However, on P&O I would never buy the drinks package. With a limit of £6.95 per drink, and further restrictions it just isn’t something that would work for us. when it comes to soft drinks I prefer the bottle, canned, varieties rather than the fountain drinks. With my Gin I prefer a fever tree tonic. In the Glass house I like a Peller Ice Cuvee, or a Whispering Angel/Miraval Rose, none of which is included in the package. So you have to think about what your usual drinks orders are to decide if it is worth it for you.
  14. I am posting this, I am in the UK, but hope some still find it helpful. My husband and I were able to logon to our accounts at the weekend, raised a query and had this reply. “Thank you for your email to Princess Cruises Captain's Circle Please accept our apologies for the late reply to your email. We are currently experiencing a high volume of emails in our inbox and are replying in order of date received. Unfortunately, the process in which guests need to follow in order to update their website login has been recently changed, to which I further apologise for the delays in responding to your query. Due to GDPR reasons, we are unable to update a guests login details on their behalf. In order to update your login email, please visit the following link and 'register' as if you are setting up a new account. https://www.princess.com/my-princess/register/ Please ensure all of your details remain the same, apart from your email address and password. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance or if you have any further loyalty related queries that we may be able to assist with.” Basically we needed to change our password to fit the new criteria, no issue with our accounts now. hope this helps
  15. I had completely missed those. Not the same 2bedroom 2 bathroom set up of Azura and Ventura though.
  16. Iona doesn’t have Family suites. Only guests in a suite are entitled to suite amenities. Therefore those amenities will not be available to others in your travel party. Epicurean is open for suite breakfast. Have you filled in the medical form on P&O? I am sure they would be able to work with you before sailing regarding facilities for your son.
  17. Yes you are correct, no testing required at any of these ports.
  18. Estrella MDR for Club Class sea day Lunch. Enjoy your cruise. Edited to add, Don’t forget Sky Princess has a Concierge Lounge, for suite passengers, something I’ve never seen on P&O, with drinks and snacks available
  19. NavyVeteran was spot on with his rely. As said, if you are in a suite rather than a mini, breakfast is served in Sabitinis, rather than Estrella.
  20. What’s in Port, posts the cruise ship schedules, I checked all timings for this cruise a few weeks ago. I was very happy to have been advised that, due to the pilot, we would be arriving in Stockholm at 10.30, the sail in will be a beautiful start to the day.
  21. So glad you are having a good time. You sailed on Sunday with 3136 pax and almost a full complement of crew. So reassuring to hear you’re not finding it feels crowded.
  22. I’m sorry I offended you, that was not my intention. I thought my post conveyed, thoughts about your aunt, and acknowledged how wretched you must currently feel, obviously not. I also said things had obviously gone wrong. I must have misread the bit about the bookings being linked. Sorry about that. Actually I have been in a similar position, my father died whilst I was on a cruise in Norway, I don’t speak Norwegian but I dealt with it. I just felt your anger was perhaps directed in the wrong directions. Of course I recognise your aunt is someone you love and care deeply for, I was just saying, my understanding “legally” is that does not automatically entitle you to information etc. I wasn’t saying your feelings were wrong. I posted about the GHIC, in a bid to help, as you said that was currently a major problem. You say the Insurance company have already said they made a mistake, it looks like they have made another one.
  23. I hope your Aunt is being made comfortable, and getting good treatment in hospital. I am a little confused by why the missing GHIC card is such an issue. Taken from Gov.uk If you do not have your EHIC or GHIC with you You’ll need to apply for a Provisional Replacement Certificate (PRC) if you need treatment and you do not have your EHIC or GHIC, or your card is lost or stolen abroad. Call the Overseas Healthcare Services. This is part of the NHS Business Services Authority (BSA). NHS Overseas Healthcare Services Telephone: +44 (0)191 218 1999 Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Surely this is something any travel Insurance company are well used to dealing with. I appreciate that your aunt can’t currently make the call, but any decent Insurance company should have a system in place for this. I’m not going to comment on the whole situation, as I totally understand how worried, battered and bruised and disappointed you are feeling. Mistakes, somewhere, were definitely made. The situation seems chaotic. However, as an outsider looking in, you are not blood related, I think that means you are not legally recognised as a relative, your bookings were not linked, and you were not in the same stateroom. So personally, I would not have expected either Princess or the Insurance company to extend help and support to you. From reading your report do I think Princess could have been empathetic, yes, but I don’t think in their actions they can be found at fault in that regard. The charge and the baggage is a completely different matter, no idea what went wrong there.
