  1. The food is always great and Nelson and his crew make it even better.
  2. I agree with your comments regarding Jody, she is one of the best. We had Andi Sanders aboard the Island Princess last month and he was just as visible and entertaining as any of the CDs we have seen. He even was there during port disembarkation and customs events helping out.
  3. My guess is that you are no longer aboard the Emerald Princess. We were on her twice recently, the last time with the voyage ending May 9th and we got to be good friends with Nelson DaSilva who was the Guest Services Director. We got word that he had left the Emerald Princess and possibly even Princess Cruises. I notice from you posted photo that that position isn't shown nor the Ass't HGM. Was there any word as to what happened to Nelson? We know he was very respected and loved by his staff and was looking for possible promotion.
  4. Must be because it works just fine for us.
  5. I agree, don't keep fretting over the small stuff. If you can't get it to work, do what you can and when you get onboard there is a staff of folks that will help you. Our experience having done 5 voyages since last November and have two more booked is that the Medallion Class App worked perfectly in every event. Sure there was a period of time to get it working properly, but most of that was caused by "user error" and quickly resolved. We love some of the features the app provides and totally understand that if we don't want to use it at all, it doesn't impact our enjoyment of being back at sea. We also understand that the future features that are being worked on will make the app even better. Relax and enjoy the voyage.
  6. Thanks and you have just put the "cherry on top of the cake". The biggest asset of any cruise ship or cruise line is the attitude of the crew. Since after the "pause", we have been on the Caribbean, Enchanted and three bookings on the Emerald and all have had great crews with outstanding attitudes and a very heartfelt and honest thanks for us returning to them. Yes, we have a way to go to get back to before Covid, but with the continuing effort to get the balance of the crew numbers we will see improvement along the way.
  7. We are following this thread and looking forward to our July 13th Iceland voyage on this ship. The object of this voyage, our 51st. with Princess, is to visit and explore the wonders of Norway, Iceland and the UK ports and we won't spend time worrying about the small things like where we would have to go for special coffee. The posts on this thread are mostly containing good information and relaying what is working and what is not. We have always supported the pointing out what some issues might be as long as there are possible solutions or recommendations, otherwise we do tend to ignore them. For the most part, we have seen some of the same minor issues during our last 5 voyages since last November. All is a process which is moving forward and ramping up as crew and services are returning. All the cruise lines are going through the same process and we'll all be back to a better than normal soon.
