  1. We are going to stay at the Hotel De La Ville which is right on the waterfront and close to all the historic sites we plan to visit and photograph. Haven't stayed there before but has received some good reviews and the price is right. Our check in is on the 21st and we look forward to boarding the Enchanted on the 23rd....only 183 days! No, we aren't packing yet!
  2. I hope it is, or will be on the Enchanted Princess soon. I wonder if they kept both satellite providers it would help to solve one of the issues we face. There is the positions of the satellites and then there is the bandwidth when everyone wants to be online and streaming.
  3. I think it's a process that Princess would like to use regardless of the size of the ship and the ability of the staffing and space within the terminal to handle a crowd. Certainly the medallion has made the process quicker and terminals such as #2 at Port Everglades has the capacity to handle more volume, but there are terminals elsewhere that aren't as large or the staffing isn't as proficient as others that make everyone arriving at once a problem - so space the groups out.
  4. Thank goodness for a responsible answer to the original question. I would also expect that it flashes when there is an emergency.

  6. I think it will vary from ship to ship and what provider is supply the beef. The filet is always a safe bet and I love the French Onion soup.
  7. The price has nothing to do with your views but rather a situation that was caused by the nearly two years of pandemic that impacted the entire industry compounded by a need to look for other sources of funds that would keep the corporation together until the economies returned. Remember that Carnival Corp is a group of many different cruise lines which have been impacted by industry wide issues getting human resources back to work. There are good signs of a recovery and until then I will continue to invest in the product I love to use the most.
  8. Thanks for doing this. We have been on the Enchanted twice since the pandemic and loved the experience both times. Our upcoming 21-day voyage in June on her is a R/T Barcelona to the Greek Isles and back and we know we will be having a great time. I look forward to more of our experience.
  9. I would suggest that you use one of the shuttle vans to get between 2 and 21 or 19. It's just too far to walk and it's hard to get a Uber to take you.
  10. Thanks for the objective review. It is a shame that the Crown Grill has suffered bad reviews of late on most of the Princess ships. We have encountered poor quality ribeye steaks on the last voyages we have been on, however, the filets seem to be quite good. Service is spotty and I think it is because most of these ships are either not fully staffed after the pandemic or they have cut back on staff in certain venues.
  11. Looks like we just missed being with Oscar as the DRO on the Caribbean Princess.
  12. That works fine for short voyages that fall within the calendar that is shown. For longer voyages I always call the harbormaster and ask which location the ship will return to and they are always happy to answer the question.
  13. She was great on our recent Enchanted Princess voyage. Always available and entertaining. Sadly for us, she is going to the CB a couple of weeks after we depart that ship.
  14. A lot of what you stated is true and it does make a point. You did forget to add "free laundry" to the list of Elite and Suite passengers, although Suite passengers get it returned the same day which is not always the case for Elite when there are so many on board. It is evident that the new Princess management is focusing on the first-time younger crowd and not on the loyal base. Having sailed with Princess for 30 years and 54 voyages and over 520 days at sea we see a need to do an overhaul to the loyalty program by expanding the levels and the perks that they need to add. Give us a reason to stay and not a reason to start looking elsewhere.
  15. According to staff officers while we were on the EX a couple of weeks ago, most of the work is warranty maintenance and a couple of venue changes. The Bistro is going away.
  16. Maybe he is on board to take the Enchanted into dry dock for routine warranty work and some changes to a couple of eating venues.
  17. OK, I'll check out the little trains to see where the stops are if any.
  18. Yes, there is. I looked at their website yesterday and the route and stops look as though you can see the most important sites of the city. We are looking at doing this because we have been there before and did tours outside the city, now we can capture the city memories.
