  1. Yes they have moved the road since I was a child. You can still the remains of the old road the other side of them when you drive past. Now they are not building the tunnel the six months disruption because the direct road to Salisbury was closed to build the infra structure needed seems even more annoying and frustrating.
  2. That’s good as you will approaching Stonehenge from the other direction. Coming from London the traffic around Stonehenge is very slow/ standstill at times. 2 reasons. Just before the traffic merges into one lane from 2 and secondly lots of people really slow down as they drive past the stones. Took me an additional 20 mins of queuing to get past last Saturday. It’s good too they have now reopened the direct Road from Stonehenge to Salisbury which up until recently had been closed for the past 6 months requiring a lengthy diversion. Have a brilliant time. Salisbury will be your best place for lunch. If you are visiting Cathedral you can eat there.
  3. Are you that all in one day ? How are you getting between places ?
  4. Not sure if I was clear the 18$ charge is the same every day but the whole voyage cost decreases by the day at the rate of 18$. I need the internet as my adult children like to touch base with me everyday day so I just factor the internet cost after World Club allowance the same as gratuities into the fare cost. Like you say a drop in the ocean but I always look to save 18$ and buy the 2nd day🚢😂
  5. Nothing specifically is labelled as low calorie. It’s up to you to decide. You can ask for sauces to be on the side or not at all. But making heathy choices is down to you and your personal preferences.
  6. No. You would have to spend one 45$ worth on 2 days @ 24 $ a day on one card and the swop to use the up the other 45$ . You can’t use two devices at the same time unless you pay extra but it’s very easy to swop between the 2. The allowance is per card/ guest and not combinable. The whole voyage price is 18$ a day and reduces everyday as the voyage goes on so if you wait until the last 3 days to use 2nd allowance you will nearly get an extra day.
  7. Never had a problem. The shops are not open late or open early and on port days are closed. I like deck 4.
  8. On QA recently the steward always locked the balcony with the key and closed the curtains at turn down. We had very calm seas so I suppose it was just a security thing. Usually unlocked it when I opened the curtains when I returned after my meal or the show. Can’t remember what happened other times. On QM2 always have sheltered balcony.
  9. I was on the outbound leg from Southampton we just did watch video and check in at muster station.
  10. it would be considerably more if you had to pay the costs yourself.
  11. Solos pay the cost of two people for the upgrade. As a solo I never bid as I don’t think it’s right to pay double. They price them at what they think and experience tells them people will pay.
  12. Think it’s meant as derogatory and certainly not funny. However having just got off Queen Anne it’s not what I would describe the experience. Had a great time.
  13. I don’t know if you are aware you will need to buy it to a dispensing chemist. You can only buy it in places like Superdrug if they have a pharmacy in store. There are two Boots branches where you can buy in Southampton near the docks.
  14. The confirmation invoice is your original booking one. It confirms you paid for the cruise when it was booked and the itinerary.
  15. I corrected my original post the plaque is in the Panorama Club same place. Don’t remember seeing the bell anywhere.
  16. Apparently Marks and Spencer shoes have something in their construction which makes the buzzers go off. One of the ladies manning the machine told me if wearing M and S shoes take off just in case. As I buy all my shoes there I just automatically take them off now as I go through.
  17. It seemed to be working fine on Sunday as I said the only people fussing were those who wanted to get off before their colour was called. They had plenty of Cunard staff marshalling everyone certainly don’t need to involve Intercruises. There were no crowd hazards just a long queue from what I could see. Plenty of people sat down waiting for their colour to be called.
  18. I just tear off the little square .
  19. Yes I have often come back from breakfast and my two single beds have been remade back as a double ready for next occupants. Think my cabin was supposed to be available from 1 30 but I was on just after 12 30 and could leave my bag and pick up card.
  20. First time I have seen it too but officers definitely asking people in queue what their colour was and turning away those who had a different colour. I am commenting on my personal experience Sunday morning so may be different to others. I was waiting next to gangway as had a quick question to check with loyalty sales and there was a short queue around 9 to speak to them. We were sailing at capacity and returning after a 2 week cruise.
  21. Correction I meant Panorama Club . Too late to correct original
  22. Yes and no. You had to be out of the cabin by 9. You were also given a lounge to wait in until you were called. I waited on deck as it was sunny and I wasn’t until 10 .
  23. I thought it was all very smooth too. Had 10:00 I was waiting by loyalty sales at one point and the only complaints were from people trying to leave before their colour had been called and kicking off when they were told to go back to lounge and wait as that colour baggage had not been off loaded yet. It’s same principle as embarkation if everyone sticks to the time they are given rather than what they want it all runs smoothly. Disembarkation has the bonus if you don’t find the time allocated convenient you can ask to change. Had to get another tag from Purser’s desk and there were plenty of folk doing that.
