  1. Yes but it goes up as you move through the tiers. My allowance covers internet for a 7 day cruise and if I use my share holders OBC on a 14 nighter I am still left with dollar up on the deal . There are other useful perks too.
  2. Hope you enjoy as much as I did. Very similar itinerary. Will look forward to your updates.
  3. All served in July and hot. No issues.
  4. Done ordered from Amazon arriving tomorrow. Off on QM2 next week so perfect timing. Thank you.
  5. Off to website now to purchase. Thank you for the info.
  6. I have just done a dummy booking and can see forward cabins are sold out. I think they would have been the £8834 ones and the next price point with availability is the £9511. It is confusing as they should be quoting the cheapest available cabin as the headline price.
  7. The website what’s in port is a useful source of information too.
  8. My now retired G P told me that years ago. Don’t waste money on fancy packaging , names and unnecessary extra ingredients. Plain old paracetamol will do the job. 30 years later I still follow that advice and like you find it works just as well.
  9. On My voyage once you are onboard. You need to keep checking for when they open the booking window. They have a queue at the door in case people don’t turn up but you need to be at the front to stand a good chance of getting in. It’s worse if it’s a cold wet day as folk are more likely to book it.
  10. I was placed on a sharing table when I checked it on embarkation day but declined it straight away as I prefer a solo table to my self - I am female and in my sixties for reference. I was swopped to a two top to myself. I can’t comment how they work out the composition of groups but I don’t suppose they have access to your age etc.. when allocating your table. I have never had a problem being allocated a solo table but these last two cruises QM and QA have initially been assigned to a table of six. Going to check my table is part of my embarkation day ritual and am always there when they open. Even if your checked you were on a sharing table you won’t know who your other companions are until you dine for the first time. The solo meet ups may help you meet other solos. Again not my thing so have never been so can’t comment on how useful they are. I suppose it depends on as you say how many similar solos there are for you to join with. There are several other solos on here who may give you more useful advice.
  11. Mine game through today up to December 2026 but was pleased as there was a cruise booked for 2026 which I didn’t remember I had. Glad to see that as I would probably have tried to book it again.
  12. Yes and on QA you can choose the lecture you want and save it for the duration of the crossing. On the others they are on a continuous loop from the day before only. Another win for QA.
  13. Yes going towards Amesbury / London they are now on your left when it used to be right. The first time I went past having not done so for many years I was so disoriented.
  14. Didn’t see any posters. In fact have never seen any posters. They didn’t even have proper postcards at the Pursers Desk yet. Not a moan just an observation. I buy one from the shop but they must have sold out as I couldn’t buy a 2nd one.
  15. I doubt it. Both my children are doctors travel annually in Queens Grill and have never experienced preferential treatment on either QM QE or QV.
  16. White gloves make no difference to me whatsoever. Certainly don’t make or break a cruise. I never even noticed they were not being worn.
  17. As some who has no interest in ballroom dancing I am only too pleased to see the Queens Room being used for other activities day and evening which I can enjoy and I am sure I am not alone in this view.
  18. I was on the 14 night Med cruise July and August. No issues with dining in Britannia whatsoever. Fixed 2nd sitting table for one. Hot food served by pleasant efficient waiters. Only one night longer wait but I had ordered 2 courses off menu. Had to say much better than QM2 in May. I would sail again in a heart beat. Only reason not booked anything until December 2026 is I have 4 QV and 3 QM2 jollies first. Certainly hassle free.
  19. I have heard too of that happening too so I would keep back any cash and just use to settle outstanding balance on the last night in cash. Lots of folk seem to do that.
  20. Make no difference to me and certainly don’t detract from my enjoyment of the cruise. Haven’t even noticed them to be honest.
  21. I can never justify the additional expense. I can buy sparking water if I want it and not fussed about a coffee machine. The locations wouldn’t suit me I like mid and low. I get priority boarding from loyalty. Don’t eat breakfast or lunch in dining room so not needing a fixed table just for the evening which I get in Britannia anyway.
  22. I have spent less than that on my 9 night Cunard cruise as a solo !.
